Great to spend time with you all again, while I was weaving. That corespun looks lovely… Now I’ve got The Isley Brothers song in my head ‘Love the One You’re With’!!
I understand your excitement seeing those pops of color, they’re so pretty! I’m predominantly a crocheter, so I’m looking forward to seeing what you make.
I'm extremely new to the spinning world. I am enjoying watching and learning all I can. I had not heard of core spinning, makes sense though. Have a great day!
Thanks for your videos. I am hoping the Easter Bunny sends me a Kiwi 3 my way soon. Miss spinning on a wheel. Keeping my fingers crossed I'll enjoy the calmness and relaxation of spinning.
I think I need to try core spinning to add texture to some of my weaving. I’d also love to see what you crochet with it. Thanks for another great video.
I have the Ashford Traveler and absolutely love it. It's Double drive. I invested in the jumbo flyer and large bobbins. I just was given a traditional single treadle with scotch tension. Haven't tried her out. Hoping to spin on one and put on the other!
Something so mesmerizing about watching you spin. Do you know how much yardage you got? Those colors really are a muted fabulousness, can't wait to see how you use it with the bag you were talking about!
It's STILL snowing here, bleh. I thought you were getting rain instead of the snow storm. The slub looks like it goes nicely with that fiber and so far it does look really pretty. I thought it was a blue grey at first instead of a brown. I would have to go slow too for sure. I've never done a core spun before yet...it's intimidating for me LOL.
We had a bit of a sleet earlier this afternoon and a little rain, but that was all. That’s pretty cool, only core spun I’ve seen is when they side it so it makes bulky slubs (is that what they are called?). What do you use your core spun for? I like the click sound as you spin, it’s relaxing. My favorite wheel is my Kromski Polonaise, it’s a larger wheel and not travel friendly tho. I have a Rick Reeves wheel, it’s only fault is the way they made the bobbins, the end is short at one end and tall on the other and I can’t get as much singles on the bobbin for plying. Otherwise it’s a great wheel.
Core spinning looks so interesting but I haven't tried it yet. Does the yarn behave like a single? Thanks for the video, always fun to listen in and watch a new skill being shown!
It looks like you alternate from double treadle to single treadle. Lol.. I bought the double treadle attachment for my Traveler and still have it in the box ..lol... ❤
Watching the video the clack did not bother me and the more you fussed all I could think of was that song chitty chitty bang bang and I giggled and giggled, Sorry 😂
