Merlin sucks against real players with Escanor ( they'll start first unless you're a giga whale with 17M CP ) and you should never pull on a portal for a specific character.

What unit with higher cc than merlin gives basic stats, reduces hp-related stats, gives damage reduction, seals enemies attacks, gives them 50% corrosion and stuns them?

@@saketube1641 you are intentionally misleading here. She only have a "chance" to give damage reduction OR seal enemies attacks OR gives them 50% corrosion OR stun, after 4 attacks on enemies. And in reality 99% of enemies will die before it happen in a real match or kill her before this happens. So this part of a passive was kinda relevant for OG Merlin (when her damage and stats were on par with meta so she was a viable option) but not anymore. As for reducing hp-related stats - it is a trash skill. Skill doesn't (well it does, but in reality it doesn't) have damage so any unit that could deal 15% of damage to a unit will have better impact in terms of actually killing enemy. Its almost as you didn't even watch this video where this merlin does close to zero damage, so 15% reducing hp is the only relevant "damage" she has - and it doesn't even work vs Escanor So the only thing she has - is passive 15% basic stats and relatively high CC. If you want high CC for unknown - run Gowther, run Hel. Hel is better for both running first and second. Albedo have pretty much the same CC as Merlin - and much higher impact, protecting turn 1, protecting turn 2, attack for the team after stance ended. So she has more utility in both defence and offence than this merlin. New merlin have no place in this game. Like at all, for everything she supposed to do (not in terms of "exact effect" like you tried to write, but it terms of impact offence/defence) there already exist units that are better. She also won't see any play in guild wars because green Merlin is stable sins part. Literally useless unit that only have some use for new players who don't have Gowther, Hel, Albedo. Probably even Tyr is a better unknown unit. I would even run Freyr going second if I was a new player for unknowns rather than this merlin as Freyr actually gives 15% stats and damage to ST skills, while also having decent skills himself. His cc is low but unknowns have low CC anyway

It’s in her relic, she just needs to apply debuffs which is super simple with the unknown team. Second of all, merlin isn’t a damage dealer. I can tell you’re a Nag fan because it feels like a unit sucks if they don’t deal damage in your book. Well guess what, supports lasts much longer than dps in this game and Hel AND Gowther does nothing to support their teams. Gowther is meant to be ran with sins, with unknown all he provides with us rank ups. Nothing in his passive works with unknowns btw (except for the rank up effects). Merlin has a place in the game, she’s a good support and she does her job in supporting. Also albedo is a stance unit, stance units are dead in this meta cuz of Meli, also why would you use a second taunt unit when you have Sabunak? Waste of slot, and she’s a collab unit so not many own her or have her built up. Hel is a literal joke, she is selfish and does nothing for the team, she’s the first unit to get replaced in her team. And her cc is lower than Merlin’s.

Be more clear next time when listing things. And - no, Merlin do not "ALWAYS gives damage reduction" - only if enemies have debuffs. So going second it doesn't happen, and vs Meli + Gowther it doesnt happen. You are just wrong - dunno intentionally or not, you are either being dumb or trying to mislead I im not a nag fan. He is probably the worst in terms of meta evaluation among all youtubers of 7ds I know. You are wrong here as well. Next - "supports lasts much longer than dps in this game" is only true if supports have USEFULL skills or are backliners. Green Merlin is backline unit, Nanashi is backline unit. This unit have nothing new from green merlin in terms of backline. Light ban not only supports team via passive - he also does actually decent damage. Gowther doesnt do much damage - but he increases it for a team (rank up) and removes debufs. His ST actually isnt even bad dmg. Naofumi and Albedo are protecting team - and have potential to deal damage as well Persival actively reduces 30% incoming damage. There are NO current unit in pvp meta that have useless skills and only passives (and not a backliner). Closest to that was Yuri for humans, and she was on her way out. You first message was "unit with higher cc than merlin" - and that was my answer, if you need to go first - gowther and only gowther it is for unknows. His rank up also increases damage much higher than 15% - so he is better that Merlin for pure damage. You said Merlin is a good support - so what is she doing exactly other that 15% basic stats going second? And you will go second with her in front. Hel is indeed on her way out - but unless Unknowns get full high CC team (uncluding something in place of Nanashi) she will be a stable going second option. Merlin wants to go first because her entire kit doesn't work unless she goes first (other. than 15%) "why would you use a second taunt unit when you have Sabunak" is a reason albedo isn't used. Gowther or hell are just better. But Albedo just does more than merlin - thats an entire point. She provides extra protection to Fitoria, which Merlin have no ability to do Base Hel CC is higher than Merlin's (from japanese site). I am on global so can't really compare full gear + relic Merlin vs full gear Hel. Basically that is the only thing that you might be right about - all other things you are either lying/misleading or being wrong. You have to literally ignore pvp to type what you are typing. Do you even play pvp? Guild wars? Anything? Hel is selfish, but she does incredible damage vs aoe heavy teams, and so she is a much better unit that new Merlin for unknowns. She at least does something! And better than albedo for current sabunak team. Things might change with next UR from sabnak-like unit
