There should have been a phase 3. I saw a video where Bowser uses the crown and undergoes a painful shapeshifting parasite. That's how that phase starts. And this also happens with the Master Sword in Super Mario Maker 2, especially, Toadette, a young mushroom girl, undergoing the same painful gender swapping transformation into Link, a male.
