True. My wife bought this game and the Wii when it first came out. I tried playing it and could not get past World 1-3. Fast forward 10 years and my daughter wanted to play it. We played it on and off from Summer of 2020 until now (Dec 28, 2020) and we finally made it past World 8, after playing every level about 20-30 times, finally got past them all, including the World 8 Airship and Bowser's Castle. I had played and made it to the end on the NES Mario Series, SMW on SNES, and the 6 Golden Coins and Super Mario Land (which, in my opinion, is MUCH more difficult than 6 Golden Coins). I have a feeling after getting past World 8 on this game, I may be done with Super Mario for a while. This game really tested the limits of my gaming ability for sure. Playing Mario is so much harder at 48 than it is in your late teens-early 20's. What a great game for sure.

Just introduced my nephew to it. I was his age when I completed my first Speedrun of the game. About 45 minutes, and I was 8 lol

@@christv7135 the secret exit in 8-2 is easy, then you can beat 8-7 to cut to 8-Airship, then 8-Castle

Same. We got it in 2009. I made it to World 1-3 then stopped playing because I couldn't figure out how to twist the grey thing to make platforns go up. Fast forward to June of 2020 and daughter wanted to start playing it. We are on 8-4.

I got all the star coins in that world!
