I love how hard you rode it! I've owned the bike for 2 years at this point but never been faster than 160kmt, haha! The wind pressure for me gets a bit crazy above 140-150kmt (depending on how windy it is of course). Also, if you do ride this bike again, I recommend to ride out each gear fully. The power band really comes alive at the last third of the RPM range. The pull is good from 5k+, but its really at 8-9k+ its pulling its hardest.
I adore this bike. I’m a guy who only likes naked bikes for 1 hour rides, and adventure bikes for longer rides. Either I want to be sitting completely exposed and have that true feel of being in the wind. Or I like to be covered as much as possible for a long haul ride where I have no saw neck, constant wind noise, yet comfortable triangle etc. this bike is most likely my next bike pending a test ride. It’s between this and the Hornet. Naked bike are suppose to be fun and these two bike seem to hit that brief while still being comfortable. This bike I just love the looks. I have owned the GSX S1000F and that was the perfect bike apart from the fuelling. This bike I would be super proud to own. I’d look back at it every time. To me it looks like a body builder of bikes. Being Suzuki you know it’s reliable and cheaper to service than the exotic bikes. It plays great tunes and has a QS. Nice weight for higher speeds. I guess i’m odd, but the swing arm is a piece of art and one of the major reasons to go for this straight up over the Hornet. But should the Hornet be more fun everything changes. Especially due to the big price difference.
I am 6'3.5 (192cm) with long femurs, and the foot pegs work fine for me HOWEVER it is the first part of the body to fatigue on a long ride. Thanks for the review, I am writing this comment at 12 minutes into the video.
Had mine since May last year. Agree with the review apart from the quickshifter and brakes. Shifter has its quirks sometimes it hesitates and the brakes are wooden no feel, will be upgrading the pads soon. But yeah still loving the experience 👍
Nice review, enjoyable. Which would you have in your garage for city commuting and the occassional weekend ride over the twisties in the hills, the 8S or s1000?
@@АлександрГалкин-х2б both good bikes. The GSX S750 needs to be pushed but has loads of character. The Z900 is like a big automatic. torque everywhere.... Which is best?
How does it compare to the Katana? Same engine more room on the Katana? More low end torque on the Katana or are they both the same one with fairing the other not? Seating position?
@@route21garage the only thing keeping me from buying that very bike is the first half of your video I see the screen but not one number. Other youtube videos of the sams bike are just as bad. Is there an adjustment for brightness?
@@leebrewer7394just to answer this if anyone comes by and reads it, there is a brightness adjustment by default it’s at 50% but the screen just doesn’t show well on camera it’s perfectly visible in person unless the sun is right in your eyes but that’s similar to any screen is hard to read in that situstion
