Those tube jig hooks are specifically for tube jigs , the lead hides up in the hollow body of the plastic/ rubber tube. They were a hot lure in the mid 80s thru mid 90s. Get a tackle bag. The pike looking spiltback swim bait , no weight or texas rig it. Throw the mallard near Lilly pads for bass & pike, the crawdad use as is

@@Reelsoverheels if you buy some bobber stoppers, put that way up yer line like 2 feet, below that put your bullet weight, after that tie on your extra wide gap hook. Put your fav soft plastic on the ewg, let the bullet weight rest on the soft plastic, and slide the bobber stop down until it rests on the tip of the bullet weight. I hope this makes sense

My typical tacklebox use is always a backpack, or a single sling backpack with hard cases that I can put my lures in and terminal tackle and also makes it easy for travel, as well as being fishing. But I would use a milk crate on the back of your paddleboard and put Plano tackle cases inside of the milk crate filled with lures.🤙🏽

That was a very cool vid. I almost never sit through an entire video. I love the fact that it is raw form. Is feels very personable. Very cool lures. If you have a P.O. Box i would love to send you some lures and stuff. I have so much tackle and lures i have never used or opened. I dont have much time to fish lately but i never drive past a tackle store without stopping. Im addicted,the lures catch me so much more often than fish. If you dont have a PO BOX please think about getting one. It would be cool watching you open lures i sent in your videos. Im sure many other people would send stuff in too. You could use the ice fishing rod for bluegill and other panfish but I would use it for casting regular baits. I would just get a small 5'5" or so rod and a small 1500-2000 sized spinning reel to go with it.thats what I use.

Nice I love see the girls get fishy! I dunno a lot about the tube weighted hooks. I always use a hook with a fish head that is the weight and it makes the swimbait look more realistic. I am curious to see how you do with the tube weighted hook. Did the store clerk say you could use them for both the tube lure and the swimbait? The jointed I would just time up with a loop knot. You can try braided line with a leader. Braid does not have memory so it is not curly off the spool. You can also run your line under hot water and it will relax it. The braid will be awesome for the duck he is topwater and the braid floats a bit.
@Reelsoverheels

Ouu that is a good call. I noticed the day I used tube hooks I didn’t catch a thing. I also learnt they’re best with tubes… go figure haha. I’ll add your recommendation to my list!! Thank you!! AAH!! Why didn’t I think of that haha! Just tie in some clear line at the end that’s brilliant!!! You’re a life saver thank you! I prefer braided and love a good top water action. @@Reelsoverheels when you hook into a 2lb smallmouth you might lose your $#!T. I typically look for smallmouth in the river In front and behind current/rapids. Not white water but, little rapids. In the lake, I have no idea where they are. Personally I think lake smallies are a sonar deal. But the largemouth in a pond/lake… I always target the shade/docks/bushes/laydowns… mostly shallow facing shore, mostly so my cast reached the bank
