Tarantulas seems to be a niche anti crawler (especially with replicate)unit. I just hope that "deploy spider mines" isn't it's only unique tech because if it had a "sticky web cannon" that slowed down units it would become a true ground unit version of the wraith.

"Oil Cannon" would be incredible for it and is the only field effect not useable by any unit at the moment

I love the idea that there is a non-giant unit that can also make chaff, but that the chaff is a double edged sword. Even if it isn't used much, it's fun flavor.

Mines seems similar to the worm sandstorm in that it can screw over your army if used wrong.

Ah yes, the slow Vulture. Maybe closer to a Reaver? Talking StarCraft units lol. I definitely think it has potential, but I’m concerned that the spider mines will be a tech that is either super op or completely useless with no in between. But also the mines are adorable and should be treasured

It's like an arclight traded in its AOE for a slege turret. Without elite marksman or heavy armor it can't really replace carry arch light but it's a neat hybrid between the sledgehammers and arcs, but with mines. Those mines chain detonating and blowing up your own chaff makes them hard to spam with that tech. Kinda funny how it debilitates your line as much as the opponents

i am liking the way it looks! space some out, possibly in front of fangs as chaff and the mines wont have as much issue with killing friendlies, its got a good enough rate of fire it can handle a bit of chaff clear while packing the damage to take on bigger units from the look of it

The Tarantula feels like you are helping your opponent removing your chaff. Maybe the mines should be a bit more resistive to exploding each other.

Maybe you don't need chaff, don't take meta for an absolute rule of the game.

I love having some more tools to fight stangs. There are other things that trade well against them like Tanks and Arclights, but I wanted some other tools to play with.

It's just a higher health/damage arclight with some dif techs, right? Medium range, chaff clear with decent rate of fire.

They definitely need another interesting tech like short duration aoe slow on hit to fill the role of anti melee that the mines seems to fill. Also the fact the mines can blow each other up makes it bad to spam and hopefully it doesn't blow up your own crawlers if it connects or it just gonna become a meme unit that isn't that good.

It's free chaff that still has a chance to damage if taken down. Infinite spawn of mini exploding rhinos. Can be powerful and can be countered, a good addition imo.

I feel that the mines suck, their HP is way too low. Have lost 2 matches on which I was ahead and invested on that upgrade.

Interesting! Probably the spider mines are better when having an agressive positioning. More pressure on your opponent. But hacking them looks like a greate counter...
