I'm mostly excited for this unit now because it turns out "tarantula" sounds awesome in a Finnish accent

Tarantula just seems like a slightly different arclight to me

The sound design for the Tarantula is great

I usually get a few arclight early so I might start using the tarantula instead. I will probably switch the loadout on the arclight, might add armor on them, will have to see how I can specialize both.

A bit worrying to see that in a game with both sides starting with Tarantula all tarantulas end up being sold

Looking forward to trying the new units out! A little worried that Bearlike has said multiple times now that units will generally be deployed at a below average power level to avoid causing problems - which means experimenting with the new units can be quite punishing day1 but we'll see :D

So how does the Tarantula compare to 2 Arclights (outside of 1 vs 2 deployments)? The seem to fill the same role.

With how tanky the tarantula seems field maintenance on them looks really, really good. They should be able to chew through crawlers, fangs, sledges, mustangs etc. Might even have some potential against giants when leveled with their spider mines.

Tarantula = Better than an Arclight worse than Fire Badger; but, you can build them any time you want. Anything that gives guaranteed crawler clear is good imo.

Is this on a play test server or something? I havent got an update, dont see tarantulas, and pheonix are still very much starting units. Am I missing something? Dx

I find archlinght better at clearing mobs. I found it a bit annoying to deal with untill I went to marksman turned into shotguns with double shot

Weird how they removed the phoenix as one of the starting units, feels like you'd get more round 1 variety by having more units that can be randomly picked, but maybe there's some reasoning behind it that I've not thought of?
