When you finally get around to updating the test bench with parts you've had for a while. As always I try to keep my test bench geared around the average gamer. Hence why I call my rigs the "average gamers" test bench! In this video I'm going over what I chose for my new bench and giving you a little insight as to why I made these decisions.

This will actually be a lot more useful than a lot of the other YT tech tuber videos. (It also almost matches my system). What they provide is a theoretical best case scenario, rather than a real world scenario.

Thanks for using realistic test benches. There are enough max consumer grade pc builds/benchmarks out there, people want to know what parts work like in a midgrade/budget build. Keep it up!

A realistic test bench build among mid range and low end parts is the way to go. Good going looking forward to your benchmark videos and reviews.

This is exactly the kind of setup I’m about to go for now and was always thrown when I try to research graphic cards and the systems have parts that I would never be able to afford. You’re making perfect content for the everyday enthusiast/gamer that we really need. Thank you for all you do Juan 😁

Again, another great video. Got a bit tired of Linus' 'let's build 120K server' over the years. Fun fact. I own Enermax Platimax 750 D.F. platinum that has fanless operation if the load is relatively low. With this kind of overhead PSU fan never spins. Had Ryzen 3700x + GTX 1080; RTX 2070S; RTX 3070 over the years. Fan has 0 dust, clean as virgin's tear. Was like 200 Euros, no ragerts.

Thanks for making a normal bench. I think it is more useful. I want more nvmes on my next build: have windows on one, linux on another and a slightly higher class of cpu: perhaps an i7/ryzen 7 or something that is at least an IPC upgrade. 5700X bench looks nice, Helped a friend of mine do a 5800X build a couple years back. I could see this potentially or waiting maybe retiring the old 9600k at some point. Still on 9600k 3060 32gb ram but I can't upgrade much on itx board until I do a new build. Price on DDR5 is also getting reasonable though I don't think I would see much benefit for gaming in getting ram for later though am seeing tempting specials. I wish I had went with an i7/ryzen 7 on my last build(s) but I guess I bought into the this is all you need midrange hype. I think this is more suitable as a budget gaming midrange build that is enjoyable for a while.

Hey there, so technically we all only really "need" is midrange but we want more lol. To be honest though it's still a true statement ish... I think all we need is upper mid range lol. Thats mostly the fault of higher resolutions and less optimized games. My 6600 review really impressed me for whats consider budget friendly, quirky but still impressive. You could also keep an eye out, you may be able to snag someone selling their 9900k/ks and upgrade fairly cheap.

As Steam shows from it's survey results, about 70% of gamers still game at 1080p😊.
