I did install it thinking that it is open source as thehive 4 but it turns to be just a community version so if you want more functionality you need to pay and get a license even if you r deploying that on premise ... anyway thanks for your videos I really get a lot from your explanations ...

Great video series in Let's Deploy a Host Intrusion Detection System. This one about TheHive changing its free model has made it a little concerning. Have you found a suitable substitute for TheHive Case Mgmt. System that fits within your existing workflow with Shuffle and all the other tools?

I'm a bit concerned too. I was planning to deploy Thehive because his Shuffle/Wazuh integration, but now I'll evaluate other solutions (Security Onion maybe?)

@@aureliosilverio I like SecuityOnion, it is a great package and they also moved away from TheHive. Not sure if they rolled their own Case Mgmt. Plugin or if they found something else. It is just a little over kill for what I was envisioning.

Definitely seems like the biggest difference is going from $0 to 10s of thousands of dollars. That seems like the lead. Haha

1. TheHive5 UI is ugly than ever. 2. The price is expensive with just 5 users in 1 organization. 3. A fully supported commercial product with SOAR integrated is more valuable on convince Mgt team. 4. Not good as case management system, not good at SLA definition, not good at team cooperation. so, better to do better.
