To simplify what he is saying the tick speed is essentially the flow of time so if you freeze the tick speed you freeze time if you increase the tick speed you speed up time if you decrease it it slows tine

Rewinding time would be something too op but i want it in the game

i wish there was a way to do it only for the player and world not entities (or atleast set different tick values for each) thus making the game a bit harder (faster movement tech would be more usefull since horses minecarts and boats would not be slowed, mobs would be more difficult and would use up your resources more like shields, food. You would have to spend more time while its dark so lighting up stuff would be more usefull if you dont use brightness like a pleb).

I haven’t been active in the community for a second and I didn’t know this was a thing til I saw a video of someone using the freeze command. I can’t wait for someone to figure out how to make za warudo with command blocks where it will freeze the game for 9 seconds and then unfreeze

I'm Working on making Pacman in minecraft without mods and Mojang adding this command and you explaining it so well makes the pacman game run at a more accurate speed, im just sad it doesnt work when inside of a command block.

I've thought of an idea for it to be used on commands You can theoretically make do a time stop like dio using this new tick command, for instance: you'll be needing a total of 2 command blocks, both of them are repeating: for the 1st one: execute if entity @a [hasitem={item=clock, quantity=1, location=slot.weapon.mainhand}] run /tick freeze for the 2nd one: execute unless entity @a [hasitem={item=clock, quantity=1, location=slot.weapon.mainhand}] run /tick unfreeze (you also might want to place a ticking area on the command blocks so you can use the command anywhere) Using the new tick commands and these commands I typed, you can theoretically"freeze time" by bringing out a clock to your mainhand slot, and it will eventually deactivate if you take it off the mainhand slot

So you pretty much become DIO
