@@markosmeini8697 well these footages came from the actual sub they are now trying to rescue and these subs are very small and don't have much capacity to do anything else than just observe, get some video and photos and that's it. it's not like these subs have massive arms that can haul stuff from the sea floor up 2.4 miles of ocean depth. I can say with absolute certainty that Titanic, the movie, got me into the real story of Titanic and, to this day, I love reading and watching anything I can about it. It's tale is truly tragic and heartbreaking.
@victorsamsung2921
@victorsamsung2921 Год назад
True. Watching Titanic (1997) made me interested into the ship's history, architecture and made me wanna become an engineer myself. Not to forget, the Olympic class-liner itself, including Olympic and Britannic. I became fascinated with ships and how they were designed, built and every little detail, like Titanic's carpentry etc.
@brendandahl8606
@brendandahl8606 Год назад
When I first saw the film, I had no idea it was based on a real life tragedy until I came across books and documentaries about the Titanic. If Cameron never made that film, I may not have been obsessed with Titanic and other ship disasters as I am now.
@victorsamsung2921
@victorsamsung2921 Год назад
@@brendandahl8606 Yep. Count me in. It was Cameron's movie that broke free this huge interest in ships, like the Titanic, for me including getting to know all the ins-and-outs. It was a funny coincidence that the Queen Mary 2 was getting built around the time I watched Titanic for the first time, which only increased my interest in ships and ship-building. Also, watching the behind-the-scenes footage and reading into the production of Titanic, seeing the top notch level of artistry and creativity, including the dresses/outfits, interior/exterior sets, casting and music etc., made me curious about the motion picture industry as well. That includes, me wanting to end up as a director or writer for a while. Since music and the other disciplines in the movie's production wasn't my area of talent. I really took a keen interest in movie production. Finally, the Titanic by James Cameron has really been of great service to a multitude of different subjects, including history, engineering, politics and even memes.It has really triggered many, many people. On all levels and spectrums. No wonder Titanic got selected for preservation in the US National Film Registry in 2017.

Not to swim on the ocean, but for people to walk around and explore and take photos and stay overnight in etc. They could make an EXACT replica, as it was in 1912. The parts that are buried in mud, how well would they be preserved? Would they be in much better condition due to being inaccessible for bacteria and other sea life that is currently eating away at the ship? I wonder if some day we could excavate some of it, particularly the part where the iceberg hit.

its strange they claim ships that went down during world war 2 are competely decayed but the titanic is 40 years older and still looks like that. fishy
@allthingsnerd.4484
@allthingsnerd.4484 2 года назад
I think part of it is the depth. The Titanic is something like 3 miles down. It’s so cold and very little actually lives there, so, the decay process is much slower than at shallower, warmer, more populated depths. At least, that is my understanding.
