I want to visit the Philippines one year from now. I want to stay for a month in Jan 2025 and ride a bicycle from Manila up north and then back down to Dumaguete. Then fly home I’m retired 62y old

For motorized 2 wheelers, that was great insight. It sounds as if gear shifting clutch work and risk is going to be trade off from automatic scooter to manual shift motorcycle.

Maybe I’m too paranoid, but talking about financial matters, other than saying “I’m financially comfortable enough to live in the Philippines”, sure seems like a mistake.

Accept I would be careful taking invitations from locals. It's often to force you into a rigged card game.

Tachycardiac is a fast heart rate. I have Bradycardia. Its just the opposite which is a slow heart rate. Mine was beating at 28 beats per minute and ended up getting Pacemaker.

Eggs in central fla ,near Orlando ,less then 1,50 a doz, some cheaper,food prices are definitely coming down . I do all the shopping ,Medicaid pays for a lot for people that are poor ,you still get food stamps if you need them ,I hate when people complain ..not a perfect country but usa does more for the poor then most . we have bad things and good things .Of course living in the Philippines is cheaper ,when you have nurses that are making $10.00 a day ,people cleaning your house for $4.00 a day , kids working when they need to be in school , it’s a shame how people that work so hard there are living in poverty ,and people from other countries take advantage of their cheap labor ,construction workers ,min wage maybe $10.00 A day , shame using the Philippine people to work so hard so you can live cheap

Try Thailand, way more expats than Your area, plus good environment also..😊
