Great idea, now you can really Turn and Burn the firewood process. You’re going to have to make a couple of Toboggans and attach a pull cord to the catch lids so you can pull them over to the Pit. Now there is even more smile joy in the wood yard with the smoke ambiance. 🤩👍👍👍

I know I'll get crap for saying this, but, take that firepit up to the house. Get a 55 gal drum, cut the top out, put some air holes around the bottom. Not as fancy, maybe a little more smoke, but more capacity and a lot cheaper.

Now thats one I'd buy if I were a Richer Man. $500 is a bit much for a Fire pit.... Those small ones just hide to much of the Fire. I like to see the flame coming off the Wood. I have a reject Fan shroud from Greenheck Co. 42" across, about 15" deep for My fire Pit.. Takes a Years worth of Burning before a Clean out. Thanks Adam . Mike M.

I almost never offer advice. But in this case, I always use blue Loctite when I'm putting things like this together. Inevitably you always get a screw or two that loosen up. the blue Loctite prevents that from happening.

Interesting one, but not a fan of their branding engraved like that as part of the final product, personally I don't care about that, I would rather have regular air intakes, or have some option to have them custom personalized or be themed in some way, but just the brand makes no sense to me.

Nice fire pit - BUT what a waste of firewood. Most of what you burned would be fine in a wood stove - it is just not nice and pretty likefull length pieces. Even the sawdust and bark have uses and can be profitably sold.

I do agree on the price point but all in, and also working in a fab shop that also has a laser cutting machine as well as benders, they cost money to run, staff, etc. Stainless steel is not cheap either, depending on the gage it is all part of the equation. Let alone the thread inserts (I assume that is what is used) as well as the stainless Allen head bolts. Wolf Ridge also has to pay back the R and D on making this product, keeping in mind it is a USA based company who staffs local workers. All in, seems like a fair price for the size of it, as mentioned by Adam, you can stuff it full of 16” longs sticks.
@darbo6955

Eh I’ll stick with my burn piles
@buggsy5
@buggsy5 22 дня назад
Much of what I saw being burned should be used as kindling and firewood. Not everyone wants or needs nice pretty uniform sticks of wood. I used to only burn cutoffs and "slash" in my home wood stove. IBC totes are a great way to store such pieces and they don't need to be stacked, just tossed into the totes.
