Mine is red color 2020 model!I love it❤️❤️it’s really safe and soft to drive not to big and not to small “even driven the hills am not scared anymore 😅
The hybrid battery is warranted for 5 years and, if Toyota servicing is keep up, for 15 years so no worries there. From reports on the Prius etc they do last well, so not a concern until many miles and years have passed. The gearbox is a CVT, with 6 "pretend" gears, and is annoying when you put your foot down but, to be honest, you learn to live with it. The best way to drive it is in a layed back way, getting up to speed and then just let the car get on with it giving good economy. The cruise control is also annoying until you get used to it. A short press begins in the active cruise control, keeping distance from the car in front but only goes in 5mph increments, a longer press gives a normal cruise control where you can set it in 1mph increments and I tend to use this all the time. To sum up the car for me it is ideal for two, with the option of carrying a couple more in the back of required. Economical - I can get 60mpg on a run keeping to the speed limits, rather than trying to drive for economy, and 40+ around town. Toyota are famed for their reliability, and with the 5 year warranty I should be covered anyway. The main advantage for me though is that it is totally at odds with my normal boring image and people don't believe that I actually bought one 😎
Please keep in mind that this 50% increase in range they falsely advertise, does not mean that regenerative braking will give an 50% range increase! This isn’t going to bump your range from 100 miles to 150 miles. This simply means that 50% of the kinetic energy lost during the act of braking can be turned back into acceleration later. It is important to realize that on its own, regenerative braking isn’t a magical range booster for Hybrid vehicles. It doesn’t make Hybrid vehicles more efficient per set, it just makes them less inefficient. Realistically, Regen in Hybrid will boost up to 5% increase in range only in rural areas and Not in motorways. In highways regen gives you No boost in range at all! Too expensive too!!
Hi, love the review easy to listen and not cheeky annoying reviewer. May i pls request if you can review the Toyota Rav 4 2.5 hybrid. Thank you and make it happen☺️
Many thanks for your comment here is a link to the raffle that we reviewed a few months ago ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-s_VaPwK4vxs.html
Really liked this review. I’ve just bought one and I like it. Here in Doha there’s a full sized spare in the back end. Sorted. Everyone is saying ‘only one USB ?!” True. But why not get a double lighter-adapter that sits in the central glove box, and you can charge 3 phones/devices at one time. Sorted. I rented one for a week, thought the cruise control was great, especially on a speed-camera-covered motorway system in Greece. Sorted. Toyota has been making the Prius for how many years now… hybrid is the future.
the one usb and the to small phone place, was forgivable in the first years model... this is the 3-4 version... and a double 2.1A USB a place for phone's up to 7 inch with optional wireless charging should be not to much to ask..
We decided to not buy the car, due to the excessive piano black used in this car. It maybe looks nice in the showroom, but it is a magnet of fingerprints and dust. It just looks awful in real life. The second reason is the claustrophobic feeling on the back seats. Not only the tinted windows are the problem, but the black top cover, which seem to be a trend now in the car industry (really sick and unpractical). What is wrong with the designers? I felt myself on the back seats like in a coffin. It is the same in Mazda 3, in Yaris Cross and in many others with a black top cover.
i own a 2019 c-hr gle. it is the most utterly piece of crap. after 2 years of ownership and 40k miles it makes me wish i had bought a yugo! spacious: somewhat good mileage?? not in the least. my 1990 suzuki samurai gave 45/50 miles to the gallon. battery is out in less than 2 years, so were the tires which lasted about 38k miles. noises from low workmanship. it has them all. currently, in slow turns, the steering system cracks, rattles and moans constantly. and then there is the ever bubbling sound after it gets warmed up. what did the dealership service department say all and every time i took the car for inspection? they said that there was nothing wrong with the car. a yugo's the way to go. suspension. it bottoms up every time with the slightest depression on the road. the front absorbers (struts or rubber bands or whatever they use to deal with this) is so horrendous and the japanese mechanic at the dealership says there is nothing wrong with the suspension. a yugo is the way to go! i am telling you guys and gals, save yourselves the aggravation of a great looking piece of crap and buy yourselves a yugo!! the 80's and 90's yugo that is!
Just bought one of these, the 'Design' version, I think Toyota have been down right mean regarding power points, one USB and one 12v socket which for some stupid reason is in the centre console......considering it cost £32,000 that's down right mean. It replaced an eight year old Kia Sportage, an excellent vehicle, that managed two 12v sockets and a USB. Rear passenger considerations, as far as we are concerned, aren't a problem because I think whilst having the Sportage we carried rear passengers about four times and they were only short journeys
I was looking at this car to buy this week and toyota offers 10y warranty now. But I am afraid of those back seats coz I have 2 small childer age 5 and 3. Rav4 is bigger but for me a uglier
@@martsalobsang5413 no, tbh horrible. I test drive it and gave up. I still love the car, but I would only buy it as 2nd car for city drive and that's it
My wife has the 2litre model with excel trim ,apparently the 2litre model has a Nicad battery and the 1.8 litre model has a lithium battery for the hybrid systems the newer type ecvt is better than the belt driven type . But overall it’s overpriced for what it is and not really a family car due to Lack of cargo and storage space hate that shiny black finish on the console will easily scratch plus 12volt battery had to be put in the boot area Because lack of space in engine bay so floor area in 2litre model is slightly higher than the 1.8 litre . Would made more sense if this came on the market as an all electric car with a better designed interior it’s already outdated.
