I'm on my second 225 AC after a pair of 155R AP's and both blue tractors have out-maneuvred the green ones. Definitely agree with your comments around CVT. Great video as ever 👍
Lovely 225 George. We are looking at changing our T7.210 for a 225 at the moment, the steering lock on my 210 is exceptional and that’s on 600 fronts too. I noticed my front wheels are set quite wide (non adjustable rims) and I’m thinking the front wheels have been swapped so the bigger dish is on the outside and the steering lock can be increased. Worth a mention to the dealers.
That's a real beauty of a new tractor, George. One reason farmers aren't keen on trying new products is that if you find something that works for you, then you stick with it regardless of cost. I remember changing silage bale wrap brand one year, and I went from Visqueen to Silaflex. Well, the Grays Tubeline wrapper didn't like it and it wouldn't work properly through pre stretch rollers on the wrapper. I had been told that Silaflex would be no problem by the guy in the dealership I bought it from, and I bought a whole pallet of it. Well, I returned the pallet of Silaflex minus 2 rolls and went back to Visqueen wrap, which gave no problems. The biggest problem was that I was contract wrapping for someone that day and having to stop because of problem wrap didn't go down well with the customer that day. It lost a couple of hours of wrapping time trying to obtain a supply of Visqueen wrap. So if you have something that works for you then stick with it
Cracking new Tractor George 💪👍 when you were struggling for words to describe it's steering lock weren't the words you were looking for was " it turns like an FW30 "🙄🤣🤣🤣 good days baling 💪👍
Lovely outfit George drive a 225 myself for years brilliant Tractors. You should try just using the foot throttle when your baling I find if gives you much easier control.
Gomselmash is a manufacturer of agricultural machinery based in the city Gomel, Belarus. The name is an acronym put together of Gomel (the city, Гомель), selskaya (agricultural, слельская) and machine (машина), Гомсельмаш in Cyrillic letters. It was, maybe still is, very commmon to name manufacturers of agricultural machinery in that way in Belarus and Russia. Rostselmash (Ростсельмаш) is another example which is based in Rostov-on-Don, Russia.
Morning squire... with all this new to you big toys you'll need to nick the corners off round the yard just to get about .... 😅... nice t7 though 👌 comfort in all your tractors now.. stay safe 🏴
Good vids, Next week Here in NZ we have Mystery Creek feild days biggest agriculture advent in New Zealand, cant wait to go and check out the new gear.
Good Evening George, First a great video as always, I like the size of the bales that just look a bit smaller? Best of luck with the rest of the baling , You take care of yourself and stay safe.🚜🚜💦⭐️⭐️👍
Hi George the guy who baled mine, used some clear wrap on the out side only then straight onto the bale wrapper in black plastic. The bales what was done in it was very good.
Tidy bit of kit for the farm mate 👍 I’m really keen to see the new combine when it comes home….I bet Liz is too. Anyway, keep safe during the busy season even if it takes that bit longer to finish up for the day
Hello George good to see ya getting some grass work done we got our first cut silage done at the beginning of the week it looks good for a blue tractor Iam Deere through and through keep up the good work look forward to the next one 👍👍
That was quite interesting George. The New Holland T7 225 is a far cry from the Ford 3000 that I learnt to drive on. What I find frustrating about round balers is the constant need to have to stop to release the bale. Obviously, there is good reason as to why the operator needs to stop, or there will bales rolling around everywhere. I am sort of surprised that no manufacturer has come up with a simple system that allows the bale to roll out smoothly and come to a stop whilst allowing the tractor-baler unit to still be in motion. If anyone came up with a good, simple system, then baling times per field would be drastically reduced. Perhaps there have been research and development done, but the costs involved would make the baler far too expensive. Not all farms and fields benefit from nice relatively flat land and slopes are probably the biggest challenge in developing such a system.
Krone Ultima and vicon fastbale both are continuous round balers with two chambers so that they do not need to stop to unload a bale into the wrapper or off the back once finished
The new F5 balers from McHale have soft stops at the and of the stroke at top & bottom, done via software, its very smooth. The new balers have pressure gauge on the monitor and a progress bar to show you that you are close to a full bale. There is also a camera looking at the door to show the bale pushing the door open. ISOBUS TIM (Tractor Implement Management) works by the baler controlling the Tractor. Its Work in progress at McHale I believe.
We use John Deere nets, produced by Tama for years, they cover the edges of the bales well but are very elastic, more fragile if you have mice. Currently, we use Cordex nets, which are more rigid.
And also would slowing the flow feed down on the hyrabolicks make it better or would it be to slow ,just to stop the bang on end of rams not telling u how to do it but you no what I mean :)
George, IntelliBale 20:46 is a New Holland Round Baler and Tractor combination feature you are asking for. Had it since 2017. Works through ISO Class III Capable CNH Machines
Another great video, i can tell ye are having hardship weather out there too, the past couple of videos you are dressed in winter gear, you are normally in summer stuff by now. Its just as bad here, heating on, more like late September than early June. Typical irish weather.😢
Nice new tractor, wouldn’t it be better to row a couple of swaths together and run a bit more efficiently, also looks like you’re leaving a touch ether side of the single swath. I’m sure tractor and baler will handle it. Just a thought. 👍
Agree George.I was always using 'edge to edge' Changed this year to Tama s 'yellow pack' product Covernet (penny pinching on my part) ....Bad idea, its way too narrow. The clamp on the Welger is out to the max and still theres play 🙄
Hi George your question about fully automation with its baler is possible our John Deere 960 bailer plugged into a 6r through isobus will run its self stop eject and carry on bailing very impressive ! If the gps is accurate enough it will turn on its own on headlands to.
Hi George do you not find bales a pain ,net wrap ,plastic wrap, handling, surely a clamp would be better even a run over clamp, instead of a new tractor I'd of sold the fastrack and tw and bought a forage wagon, but that's my opinion what works for you is best ,just in my experience bails are a proper pain mate
there’s been tim around a few years on tractors now, has the baler not got on demand flow rather than you pushing the spool to constant pump all the time george?
I remember as a small child in the early fifties we had an Allis-Chalmers Round Baler and you had to stop to tie and eject the Bale. And of course that is still true today. Has any company attempted to make a continuous Round Baler? On the principle of how they work I guess that would be a tall order.
Kverneland built one don’t know if they still do a krone were building them at one time but doesn’t seem like they ever caught on non stop round balers that is
Tama is the only nett for trouble free neat bales tried everything over the years like your mchale and the jd v461r I run you won't get as neat a bales without edge to edge as very slightly wider chamber
You're have to convert him to geting a rake George. Make a cleaner job And probably cut the grass better. If your cutting the grass. Hope to see you this Sunday with the FW 30.
How come you are not covered in dust and shit George. When our contractors came to bale for us back in the 80s the operators where always covered in dust and grease. They spent more time with the baler panels open fixing them than baling. Mind you they where using clapped out 1412 David browns and JD 590s. Nice tractor by the way.
Why would you want to handle a wrapped bale more than one when the bake is carted wrapped and stacked and done.rather than 3 handles of wrapping in the field 3 more chances to make a hole
Whats the point.. You end up crawling around the field and dealing with pickup blockages.. Smarter with a baler to just make a few more rows with less in em, you can drive it on and not worry about blockages.. Easier on the machine.. Less stress all round..
I get this all the time for guys at work. This loading shovel or Materials Handler is crap compared to the tis or that make. They will tell you that they breakdown all the time compared to X Manufacturers machine but when you look at the figures it not the case. Most of time its down to the fact they have no real idea what they are talking about.
Yes the rear guide plates on the mower need setting correctly to make a decent row for the baler, no different to a rake really they need setting up as well 👍
