As a german, Fendt was my childhood. In my Grandpas Village there were only Fendts, great video!

That Fendt is pretty sweet. Europe has been ahead of the US on almost everything for the last 40 years.

We run 1050s and absolutely love them switched from deere.

Great to see the US is now also a market of Fendt. I grew up with Fendt tractors around me on our farm: Farmer 2DE (35 hp, 25 mph), Fendt GT 231 (32 hp, shovel, carrier box) and later on the Farmer 104 S (famous Turbomatic). These where quite popular here in South Germany (Alps Mountain chain) in the 60'ies and 70'ies. My brother now is working with an Vario 417 (I believe) and a John Deere as well as a Farmer 307 LSA (Turbomatic). This is a small farm (greenland and cows for milk and meat). The 1050 I see quite often in street building applications as transport machines. We live just 60 km away from the Fendt head quarter, some of my colleagues are working there. It's amazing to see thes tractors in the US, as John Deere has a long history and good reputation there.

I am in no way a farmer, I last drove a tractor over 40yrs ago just for a week helping a friend on his dads farm, that tractor was a few years old but compared to this it was like a modal T-Ford, this Fendt is like a space ship don't think I could drive it tbh, unless it was set to drive like a lorry or a car . Thanks for sharing this really interesting .

Awsome tractor Fendt equipment is hugely popular here in the UK due them always being ahead of the game as far as build quality and tech is concerned I guess you guys will soon see why I hope you enjoy the experience.

Cool to see how excited you are about the operation system in the fendt. We run a few different size Fendts, our biggest was a 939, best tractor out there IMO.

Loving the CVT transmission and how it maintains PTO RPMs steady. This is going to make working with the auger cart so much easier. Fendt really does lead the way in CVT technology!

Funny to see you Americans trying out Fendts hehe. Here in Denmark, where I work, we have had Fendt for many years, along with John Deere and New Holland. Now a day we only have a few Deeres and NH back, as they are just no match for Fendt. The new Deere generations is ofcause nice to, grantet, but it is about time they came up to date aswell. :)

Fendt has a good name in Germany. Customer rarely switched to other brands after they had a Fendt. The Vario transmission is something you need to get used to, but I liked it immediately. It is like having 50 speeds. The vehicles are also designed to make the job as easy and comfortable as possible for the driver.

From the direct comparison at work between a Fendt 942 and 8R370: while the 8R is better at pulling implements, the Fendt wins in comfort, road performance and quietness inside the cab.

We had a bulldog tractor wnen i was a kid. German made and good for it,s time.

If I was a farmer, I'd be ready to change to a different green tractor, and I've used JD trractors my whole life!

AGCO is spending boatloads of money getting Fendt demos out in the fields. Must be one of the new trends in advertising.

Also der rechte hintere Kotflügel hat ne Macke. Da ist was faul mit der Kunststoff Abdeckung. Das würde mich persönlich stören für den Preis . Der Fahrkomfort ist aber Spitzenklasse. Das arbeiten mit dem Traktor ist auch sehr angenehm.

Sounds like more to go wrong.....and more expensive to repair.

Sweet. But farms have such small margins, going to need to be a huuuuge outfit to even consider something like this.

The primary issue with German vehicles is cost of repair. Ask any BMW, Mercades, or even VW owner.

Problems are with different equipment the computers don't talk to each other that's why everyone buys deere

It's all fun and games until 1 thing breaks down and then you'll have to go bankrupt and look for a job picking berries, for a farmer with a 4020 or even a 4040 lol

at this point I would be asking if they go the way of digital restrictions of John Deer and others. Great 'toy' otherwise

Fendt WAS a German company - its now US-American. 2009 the heirs sold Fendt to US-Company AGCO (which started with another German company Deutz) Northh Anerica)

One main problem…..they are handled by AGCO. Worst customer service on the planet.

Great looking machine, but the whole video is ruined by the stupid heavy metal barrage.

Farms have chickens, goats, pigs, cows, mean geese, and half broke equipment. This is not a farm. This is a grain manufacturer. That most likely eats actual farms for breakfast.

If you can't fix it don't buy it😮

Too complex for nothing...more maintenance, more money spent

Every time I hear the words, "German Engineering", I lose interest completely. German Engineering and yes, even American engineering has become so complicated that these machines are more susceptible to problem. breakdowns and weeks in a shop to try and figure out what went wrong and how to fix it. Replacement parts are often unavailable or else weeks or months out to get them. Complicated machinery requires unwavering maintenance, which often isn't done as it should be. No thanks to German Engineering.
