If you have T-Mobile, depending on how expensive your plan is, you either have unlimited or 4 free per year of in flight wifi on Delta, American, United, or Alaska. You can even type in someone else's T mobile number (there is no authentication).

For the BF/GF scenario, a 50/50 split in that scenario is absurd; it should be roughly proportional to income. As far as the GF’s family income, is she is a rich trust fund baby, or are they just well off like on the BF’s level? If it’s not a crazy amount of money, it shouldn’t matter here.
