What i did in 3 was i just build a tunnel connecting all 3 entrances and then closed the original ones. Then you only need to defend from one entrance. Worked in all maps weirdly enough.

I would imagine the simple solution to that from a balance stand point would be just to include digging units in some armies that will burrow through artificial walls. At least on higher difficulties anyway, but yeah that sounds about right.

@@DemonKing19951 You don't have to dig deep. Dig shallow near your heart/explored then link them all together. I funnel them into a giant Guard Room because spending Evilness to get good traps cost too much, and the Guard Room has an upgrade that slow down Needs by 50%. I dump my main army in there while leaving a handful of working monsters on their merry way. Heroes most of the time going straight to Heart and not ransacking rooms along the way/out of the way so you can still expand from the crossroad.

I'd say that it's less Dungeon Keeper and more of its own thing. It's the same genre, but not necessarily going for being a spiritual successor. War for the Overworld is closer to that. But I say that no game is even close to DK1, everything evolved from DK2, and not even that is close to DK1. I don't think any game is like Dungeon Keeper (1).

I saw just 20 min of this video and ran to steam to buy the game. Holy how why is it AAA priced? I thought for sure this would be a nice little $30-40 game.

Acutally if you look at some of the legit key sellers (i wont mention hear as that may get me spam warning) you can pick the game up for about the mention price you was hoping for.

AAA is 60-70 now, haven’t you heard? Yeah, 50 seems high, but I’d expect it to be on Xmas sale…

Hints: To drop every minion at once just keep left mouse button pressed. Clicking on the little "minion" icon in the top menu (where it says like 19/19) you get a grid showing your minions so you can see if one of them is close to dying & either grab it or command it to run away etc. Really help to keep your minions alive early on to make sure they stay alive :) Oh, and there is also a free demo of the game that has quite a few of the first campaign missions. I played the demo before the game launched & my progress transferred over to the actual game too. Even thou its still early i do feel that D4 is kinda a "sequal" to the story in D3 that was based mainly on Thalya the dark elf so if you go in "blind" perhaps its a good idea to watch like a summery of D3. Like ive seen a 20 min cutscenes video out there. Not entirely sure how much it explains but it probably has the main points.

watch the video and the game even the game admits its been inspired by Dungeon Keeper with a big dig a EA games when they tried to release it on mobile with its micro payments. We all remember how well that went down the game was soon pulled from the store and studio behind it closed

I got this game and wanting to like it and get into it but I just didn’t understand the point or what to do I thought it was like halo wars underground or something lol but this guide tells me exactly how to play, thank you!

If you play on PC, wait for a week or two. Third party websites always give discounts and by the end of the year you will have it on huge sales. If on consoles, good luck...unless you have gamepass. But if you play on PS...well...

Pressing the F2 key when you assign them to the guard room doesn't work? How about holding down the mouse button to drop them all at once? Does that not work as well?

I felt like it was holding my hand during the intro battles . . .then came back month later, had forgotten everything, I have dementia apparently. I still don't know what buttons to push, but apparently I can highlight large sections. I spent 20 minutes knocking around goblins, furiously clicking on everything.

Fries are ok, baked are good, spicey-stringed are great, and everyone loves the mashed and totted varieties, but ain't no tater better than an Orbital Potato.

It looks like it misses the humour that made Dungeon Keeper so amazing all those decades ago. The disdain used to announce payday was amazing.

I played DK very little, but i played good amount of Dungeons 1, 2 and 3, the humour is heavy on the animations and on the narration, the voice narrator is great, in many language, have lots of "lines" and in the 3rd game you can set the frequency, i think even in the 2nd don't remember. The game evolved a lot from the first ep that was an original innovation "over the limit" upgrade from DK, you build a dungeon mostly for luring and entertainment for heroes, and have some direct control gameplay for action combat, a mechanic that i don't like, while the 2nd and 3rd are more "classic" Base Defend+Base builder+RTS hybrid, more like 'Conan Unconquered' and 'They Are Billions'. I consider this series very nice, especially the 3rd have infinite repalyability, and huge content, also the developers of this have recently made a remake of 'Startopia' the sci-fi version of DK.

@@oetgaol Well for what i know DK still remain the king of demential humour on PC, the "Monthy Pyton" pinnacle ^_^...just for info, i remember that there's a title lot more spiritual successor for DK: 'War for the Overworld', played a litlle, its more darker and more D&D simulation than Dungeons series.

@@TeslaDeCastaka IIRC, War for the Overworld even had the same voice actor from Dungeon Keeper, and some of the creation team was from old school bullfrog games. Same thing with Two Point Hospital and Theme Hospital.

Hello, I have a question, I know that on the PC the O button makes the Minions focus on a task, I was wondering if anyone knows which button I use on the Xbox for them to do this too

I always liked everything about the dungeons series, EXCEPT the brain dead troop movement mechanic. Being able to just scoop up tons of your troops, and just drop them down everywhere is so remedial and elementary school simple. It just takes out so much of the potential strategy; planning needed when building; and travel mechanics. Evil creatures speed does not matter; traveling does not matter; logistics does not matter. 🤤

I've found out that it balances well - especially when your throne room is being decimated by an unexpected attack and ALL your troops are topside lol

Well you ARE the ultimate embodiment of evil. It makes sense if you think about it like a DnD campaign. You're able to lure the NPC's to the perfect spot and then literally drop an entire evil army on their heroic asses lol it fits within the power fantasy.

I thing that is been annoying me a bunch, you got lava by the bottom entrace, the very first trap anyone would think about there is a pusher... I'm at 30 min at the video and don't think you gonna do it... Also add doors to keep the enemys at the traps as much as possible, never played this game but this much should be kinda obvious This game looks promissing, too bad it is quite pricy right now on steam...

i say the game really handed it too him, i understand he wanted to show us the game by doing the skirmish mode yet to me he wasnt sure how the game acutally worked himself.

I'm only a few missions into the game but I've stopped using doors with trap-rooms and replaced them with the small green snare trap. The heroes then slowly move through the traps and your snots don't need to keep repairing the doors.
