New, Updated Craft Room Tour - The Good, The Bad & The Ugly, How I store it all! 

Thank you for posting this video. I have been beading for about 6 months now and I really appreciate your insights. I saw the first video of your space and enjoyed watching this one and seeing the changes that you made. I enjoy your tutorials and have learned lots of things from you.Being a newbie means I am always trying something new and watching your videos has eliminated some of the trial and error that wastes material and time. I especially like your stressing the importance of creating a positive and the least stressful environment to work in. That is very important your personal well-being. Keep up the good work and delight in the talent for creating beauty that you have been blessed with!

Years ago there was a decorating trend with window valances and some draperies...the rods had loops and you used a long piece of fabric or a window panel..you would pull several inches of fabric through a loop and make a puff or pouf...you continue down the rod to your desired length of your window...then you had a puffy valence....🙂

Wendy, I got a lot of great storage ideas from you today! Thanks so much! I'm getting ready to move and have a ton of beads and tools to reorganize in the new place. I want to put a bug in your ear. I recently redid a WHITE desk that I use to craft on and the top was so easily scratched with just paint. So I went to Lowes and bought LARGE 18x18 White peel and stick floor tiles to use as the top. Can cut to size with an Xacto or scissors. Its sturdy, so easy to clean with non stick coating on top. I also used this same tile on my shelving and a longer cutting table that I use for quilting. This a seamless solution. Like you I incorporate a lot of lighting and WHITE or clear containers in my craft room because it helps me see, find things easier and it looks so clean. Definitely more expensive than the baseball card holders, but way more secure are coin / collector sheets - They have a little flap, so they keep everything in, even if tipped upside down. I have them in three sizes. I use them for pendant stones and matched pairs of stones that are meant for earrings. I started trying to put them into the baseball card holders, but they did not keep the pairs flat.

Hi Wendy. Luv that you have shared with us your work stations, well organized storage area & shipping station. The way you incorporate the inspirational & spiritual part of you is so endearing. Wish more ppl did this. God Bless you. When you showed the chain rods that you store the chains on, it kind of reminded me of my Mom's Christmas card holder. The cards would fit into the pinched wire thing-ama-jig. It was a good way to display cards. I wish you & yours endless Blessings.

Thank you for the "office" tour. You did a great job picking out the containers and shelving. Sometimes, more space is more challenging to organize. Like you, I am visual also. I use clear shoeboxes *and* label so I can stack easily. I had all my jump rings mixed up too. It took almost a year but I separated them one handful at a time when I was on the phone, tv, etc , Finally finished but it saved a lot of time even when it wasn't all done cuz I could just use the ones that were already separated.

Haven't watched in a while. But I want to get back to my jewelry making and I've always loved your channel. Love this room and all your different ways of storage, etc. Love the stories and hints. Not that I'll ever have a room like yours. We share a smallish house with our son and his family. But I get ideas. And Sadie is cuteness. I can't believe she doesn't eat her treats right away. We have an 18 pound Border Terrier who gives our 73 pound big girl a contest to disappear the treats the fastest. Anyway they're fun and Sadie is sweet, but she sure guards those treats. 😊💖 I pray a blessed new year and all of 2023 for you and your family. ✝️🦋

I loved this video. We put in a new kitchen a few years ago and my husband suggested taking the computer area section of counter and drawers (from the kitchen corner) and put it in my craft room. What a blessing that has been! I could still do more organizing upstairs in the craft room but it works for me now. I'm pushing 80 now so don't know if I'll have the ambition to do much more organizing. I enjoy your videos so much; I'm also a FL resident. l Welcome to the Sunshine state! I love your room and the way u organise it. I do different crafts and also want to see what I have. Here in South Africa, we do not have a dollar tree, but Westpack. Sort of the same. My beads are in plastic containers and I have a boks from my hubby thats for screws and my beady things is sorted in there. Thanks for sharing.

Wow what a lot you have like me but I am not a visual person.I also have the ikea units but have to have the containers that fit it with everything hidden.Just shows how differently people use the same unit. I like the idea of keeping everything you use often near you.

Thanks so much for bringing us into your home and sharing your beading studio. It's always great to get ideas on how to store beads and findings. I have faithfully indulged in the bead stoppers from Joann's. I love those things. They have a great design to prevents tip-overs. A beader's nightnare, right? They are always on sale. I haven't figured a way to store those, but I think it would be great to figure out how to store them on a grid along a wall, so I can see everything in them. I also love seeing your filming studio and love the tip about using blanket pieces for a beading mat. That's brilliant! Cheers from California. You have a really good craft area. I have a cricut maker I've had for 3 yrs. Can't do anything with it. I don't know how to work the design space. I think if I could find someone to sit with me cause I'm like you visual person. I think I would pick it up pretty fast. But until then it sits. Thanks for all the tutorials.

I’m so so sad no more beads on your site,😢 I have been waiting for January to hit because I got my raise on my SS check and then nothing is there. 😢😢😢😢😢 but I will be getting the chains for sure. Definitely need more of that. lol on that note, I wish I had half the room you have. Including the wall space, haha I have a teapot collection that has taken up 90% of my wall space the extra 10% has gone to pictures of my baby’s, my 5 children and 10 grand babies. So ya my real estate is completely used up for my other loves. I do have a small bookcase I use for my boxes of beads and other storage containers, I have the plastic drawers I use for all my seed beads and some other things I use rarely, lol bottom drawer is beading books I rarely use. And that’s the extent of my beading area. lol not big but works for me. 🤷‍♀️ Tfs and be buying some chain here shortly. Hugs

Wendy you have inspired me to re-organize my bead room. So far, I have sorted my charms, my bead caps, links, chandeliers, etc. I am looking for some advice on the best way to sort my Head pins, eye pins and ball pins. Did you sort yours by color or by style? If I sort by color, that would mean mixing eye, ball and head in one jar? Does that work? Looking to hear your opinion. Thanks
