Lord Al, thank you for your videos, I enjoy your natter. I have now watched all 99 of Mk2 in the last 2 weeks & gave thumbs up on all of them, now I have to wait for your next one as I have watched 2 or 3 per day. I have started watching others that you talk about (but too I like only steam), love your Big Boy! I wanted to start another layout again, the last one was about 30 years ago, I wanted to try 'O' or LGB, but a friend said he was getting rid of everything in his loft & he was tearing up a 'OO' layout. I purchased it of him for 300 Euros (I live in France now), 13 loco's, 20 cars & a few trucks and the teared out layout, all DCC. Now I am cleaning it all, all the track has sand as ballast, I have no money left to buy new track (an OAP like you, just a few years younger), so it will have to do, as I was cleaning I was listening to you and laughing. You was talking about the heat & how high the temp was at Hawarden, I used to live at Hawarden when it was just an airstrip with a few houses 40 years ago, then I moved to Chester for a time. Thank you again Allan, wish you and your family well and keep save.
Thank you so much Malcolm for sticking with it on my videos. Am very pleased you enjoyed them and some of the fun a long the way. What more can i say but thank you. Now this coming Friday night at 7 pm uk time there`s a few of us doing live steam all together. so hopefully this will be good fun to watch. the channel it`s on is Roberts train set. Maybe you can watch and join in on the chat. And just enjoy and ask ? if you need to. As for your old track just wash them in warm soapy water. they should clean up a treat.then when dry track rubber the rails to clean them up So once again thank you. Regards Lord Al.
Hi Al- some very nice new additions there and looking forward to the 100th video also nice to see the clocks are in sync !! Wish Lady B well from me. Cheers Kev
Wow Alan love your new HST certainly looks really good and suits your layout also well done your TMD area is fantastic with the extra detail added happy modelling mate kind regards Danny 👍🏻👀👋🏻🤩
Lord Al, great layout as always, nice looking HST, got the exact same numbered HST myself, I absolutely love it, my most run loco, pleasantly surprised at the pulling power of the Hornby 66, was expecting it to stop wheels spinning, cheers David
Hi Lord Al, Glad to hear lady Babs is on the mend. Great update especially the class 43 HST as its always been one of my favourites, I remember watching them as a kid as the main line ran behind my parents house great memories.
Great update Lord Al. Good to see you again. Glad Barbara is getting better. I know how inconvenient not being able to use a shoulder is. Congratulations on reaching 99 videos. Look forward to seeing the 100th. Roy.
Hi Al and congrats on your up and coming 100th video, we’ll done!👏👏. The layout is looking as fabulous as ever, from what some others have been saying then I wouldn’t know the difference between a Mk2 or a Mk3 coach to be honest, they’re just coaches to me. I saw a photo the other day of a Class43 pulling some freight so I guess anything goes! 😉. Cracking video mate. Cheers. ……….Graham
Thank you so much for stopping by Graham. Am the same with coaches . i always think if it looks good just go with it..lol. and Yes it does seem these days any think goes on the railways. So thank you Graham Duke of St Neots...lol.. Hope you can make it to GETS this year .RU-vidrs galore..lol.. what could go wrong...lol
@@dragon-junction-MK2 Hi mate and yes, definitely going to GETS this year, got two VIP tickets booked, one for me and one for my mate so hopefully it will be good - it always is - so see you there, should be a good laugh with all the other RU-vidrs there. 😂😂
Hey Lord I watched first 20 Mins then the boss called me away. Glad I came back and watch last 10 mins ..was weird hearing me on your video lol. So lots of useful bits and bobs. I like that signal box.i am not keen on paper/cardboard models they just don't last. Now that 43 I know it's hornby but in that livery looks cracking. Real shame they still put D couplings on I know you will.put hunts on shame that hornby can't get those things sorted.but the model itself was beautiful..just let down by couplings. Thanks for the mention.. I always leave in a good mood ..Once I had a Dose of Lord Allan. Hope all OK with you. Cheers Mark Oh BTW got my first appointment on 4th as in regards to this lump that's come up. Bye for now fella
Hey Alan, great to see the updates and just to let you know that I have taken onboard your advise from the other week. 'Start small' and that is exactly what I am going to do.
Hi Lord Al, some nice new locos & couches the new TMD is looking good I do like the little signal box goes well where you placed it looking forward to the 100 special cheers Al
Hi lord Al just watched your latest episode love your updates especially the class 43 GWR love it you said you’re going to get hunt couplings why not try hornby’s vacuum magnetic couplings I think the code is R7399 for a set of 8 pairs they look great very realistic I bought some for my 3 class 43 sets including class 43 GWR sir Kenneth Grainge the last Hst out of Paddington Station I also put them on my class 47 and network rail class 31 which I have on my you tube channel Beighton Parkway can’t wait to see what you have planned for episode 100 best wishes Kev Beighton Parkway take care glad you’re wife is on the mend
I have thought about the Hornby couplings but am loyal to hunt`s couplings because they do a HST set`s as the coaches are not NEM Pockets plus the power cars have to have a stepped coupling .They come in the set for them So thank you for your comment .Do hornby do a power car couplings ? not seen any. Any way thank you so much for watching Kevin.
Hello Lord Al, enjoyed the update, need to get one of those Cordless mic's, look good. Need one the corrects my word fluffs. Keep it real mate, love the laughs, Atb Graham 👍 😊😆
Oh, how nice to see that laughing face again! Glad to hear Babs is mending and recuperating well. That HST is brilliant,,, love the 43s- too much UK influence on me. You have been fixing things up, and it is looking great as you get to it. You will have upgraded so much, I will have to come by again just to see it, because it will be a new layout. lol You still have such amazing trains of so many eras, I love seeing them all run. Also, we didn't jsut mention your lavvy, it got shown in Episode 7 (- you have a hole cottage industry: Lord Al's Lavvies, Allan Wyles, prop, #2 Dung Lane, Big Gulch). Heck, I am embarrassed I got mentioned 3 times. Take care! All the best from Anthony and Joyce.
Thank you so much Anthony for stopping by and enjoying what i get up to. Great to hear from you and yes the layout is all ways updating and evolving . Keeps it interesting. You and Joyce stay safe and well and we will be meeting again very soon. Regards Lord Al.
👍👍Wonderful 99th video! Very nice updates to the the layout Thanks. The GWR locos and passenger cars are just beautiful, love the deep green color! Stay well, be safe looking forward to your 100th video. 🚂🚂
Hi Allan many thanks for sharing your updates, enjoyed the running session. I had a repair to my rotary cuff followed by physio and a year on much better so please tell your wife things will get better and here's to her speedy recovery. Back scenes look great, who would have thought Al's Lavvy would become so famous, (its not all down the pan then lol). Take care and stay safe regards Barry..
Good Stuff Lord Allan. It's always good to see what you are up to. And it reminds me of the brief day visit I had with you in 2021 !!! Regards Alan in the loft in Dover :o)
hi lord al..great vid..even the wife put her head round the door to see who the manic was that kept laughing...we were both laughing at you trying to work out what length your wood was when you cut in half and then put it together...my wife went he's another you....liking the layout more and more..it takes time and thought to work out what to do with spare bits of flat areas..idea for your 100th ep..go to your lavvie and film it there...regards chas
Thank you so much for watching Chas.. And still laughing at the comments. We do what we need to do but can not explain it..but you know what i mean. lol
Hi Allan. Hope you are well. Enjoyed the update. That GWR HST is a little cracker. I’ve never been to Rhuddlan models. I think I might go for a ride out on the motorbike and have a look. Maybe pick up a second hand bargain if they have one. You are right about Hornby 66’s I’ve got one and it doesn’t miss a beat. They are great value for money. I think some people give models from Hornby bad press for no other reason than they are produced by Hornby. I’ll let you know how my visit to Rhuddlan model shop goes. Steve 😀👍
Thanks for stopping by Steve. if you go on your bike you can park behind the shop it self .and it should be safe there for you. Take your wallet Steve .i can bet you wont come out empty handed .he`s got some great choices on locos and rolling stock. all ways ask as well you never know what he has hiding way as well.
Great vid. One point though. The class 43/hst runs with MK3 coaches, not MK2. The livery is the f&g packet ( sorry RU-vid hates British slang) which is about 22 years to early for the GWR 😋 You can get the correct sliding or slam door coaches for a great price on Barton’s at the moment. Keep up the great work 👍
Nice update Allan 🐲 nice new train, but I do like class 43s. Plastic /3d are much better models for the shed, in fact much better in my train room. Hope lady Barbara is still on yhe mend. I must do an update on my new tmd area atb Andy
Yes lady Barbara is doing great I’ll get the mk3 in time or even a class 57 to go with the mk2. Now you say a new TMD that sounds interesting 🤔. Cheers for stopping by Andy
Hi ya Allan. The new backscenes are great. Beautiful moody skies. All the details parts for the new scene are bringing it to life. The 3D printed signal tower will hold up better to the elements. I received one of those little vacuums at Christmas. They are great. The new mics will come in handy for the live streams. Always nice to see your trains running. The new addition GWR loco and it’s coaches are awesome. I see why you fell in love. Lol. Thanks for the update.
Wonderful video Lord Al. I wonder where the flasher is hanging around these days? Maybe we will find out in the 100th video. Take care Al and thanks for all you do.
Excellent update Al, oops, sorry, Lord Al. I like the 3D printed items. The signal box would be perfect for a level crossing or as in your case bridge protection. I quickly noticed as did Mossylls that your new coaches as beautiful as they are, are not the correct ones for a HST set. You'll now have to be on the look out for some Mk 3 coaches and a new loco for the Mk 2's. Anything that increases your stock is a good thing. lol. All the best Lord Al. your humble servant, David.😁
Yes David it sure looks like ill have to up date the rolling stock to MK3 . So then i need a loco to pull the MK2 ..mmmmmmmmm WIN WIN .LOL.. Thanks for watching David
Hi Al, I am sure someone else will have spotted it, but those new coaches do not belong to a HST, they are MK2 with buffers. HST coaches are Mk3 without buffers. The livery is also a very early one and is known as F.A.G packet livery. The full stops are there because the Americans dont think it refers to a cigarette and get upset. Its probably 25 years old now. Get yourself 4 matching GWR green coaches for the HST and make yourself a Class 255 Castle set up.
Thank you Mark. It seams these days any think goes .But yes i do understand about the mk2 and mk3 . it`s a ploy for an other loco and coaches .. Just thinking ahead Mark.lol.. Any way last week a class 43 was seen pulling freight on the main line . .
@@dragon-junction-MK2 Yes I saw that on RU-vid. I didn't think you needed a ploy, you just do. Plus the more you have it's easier to have more because they blend in with the others !
I can't wait to get my Lord al's lavvy on my layout but got to build the base for the village yet lol I do like the newer 43s there something special now I want to dig out mallard for a run.
i’m glad it ain’t just us that’s having technical problems, we were trying to film our episode today, and the bloomin gimbal decided to turn off several times during, so the camera just flopped on its side 😂, thanks for the update, hope you’re keeping well sir have you got a link to that mic please buddy?
That`s what makes it fun when things don`t go to plan. on this one it was the third take. This is why am all ways laughing it never goes to plan..lol And thank you so much for watching .
@@dragon-junction-MK2 I just forgot to check the gimbal was charged before filming was so funny seeing Grace tilt her head as the phone went sideways 😂
The Hoover is off Amazon they deliver. www.amazon.co.uk/stores/RealPlus/Homepage/page/95759F19-5BD6-4353-A41B-407C2C32878C?channel=Store%20share%20-%20Facebook&fbclid=IwAR1RD2tRjaKASwn2aJ4NkcH99TWolItOnfJXxr2fF6NmiCHstIrk3cK9h9Y
Are the gents in the high viz jackets from an agency or are they employed by Dragon's Junction? Hopefully, they do not have to walk very far if they are accidentally caught short.
Sorry Al but if your local Model shop sold that HST lot as a set they got it very wrong. They are the wrong coaches and the liveries were never together.
yes i know there the wrong coaches. but at the end of the day i had a superb deal on that set if you look at the price of stuff to day. HST set and 5 coaches and two chips for £200 .what say you.
Hi Big Al.... glad to hear the wife is on the mend. Lovely to see an update. Back scene looks amazing. The new updates are bring the layout together even more and the new loco just finishes off the collection but I'm sure there will be more Glad to see you back down the shed. Oh by the way BIG proposal 💍 on the 17th June. Let's hope she says yes. Have to give a little shout out closer to the time but I will let you know what she says lol (fingers crossed). Keep safe and well. Love to family. Colonal Ga Taffy (aka) Rich & Olivia 🏴
Wow great to hear from you guys . Hope you two are ok and well . Yes am sure there will be more to come in the future Rich, Just let me know when closer to the time and ill give you guys a shout out .. Thank you so much for watching. and say Hi to Olivia for me. Regards Lord Al.
