@@bks4203 About the griefing? Oh yes. I spend most of my time collecting, hunting, and fishing-- I'm just really big on that, it's relaxing. But when people come and are invulnerable and don't leave me alone, that ruins everything.
I find it so stupid that it is still the Best Nacogdoches.... like any new shit they bring I like dont even care cause it seems they brought out all the best items horses and guns already and there is nothing to look up to anymore.... i dont know but Im starting to feel like Rockstar Sucks
To be honest, the Upland saddle makes the 15 gold for the role extension worth it to me.I'm interested to know what you think of the new bolas selection. They don't appear to have any additional effects for crazy money! Are they really only cosmetic? To think we used to get upset losing a $30 version!😅
I bought both the Upland and the Nacogdoches (with the hooded stirrups) and used them on all four of my high end horses. I see a pretty significant difference in stamina drain across the board which I guess confirms what you said in the video. Actually watched this a couple of weeks ago, but needed to get enough money to buy the saddles and test them myself. So, I'm using the Nacogdoghes pretty much all the time. Thanks for the videos.. they're fun to watch.
Yea for real I'm glad I watched first. I'd be upset if I bought it and couldn't store all of my cool outfits. I would've definitely discarded the saddle and been forced to buy the saddle I got rid of again. He basically saved me $1000
Agreed! I have been waiting for a video on this saddle bc I wanted to know if I should dump one of my Nacogdoches saddles to get this new one. No way. And since many times I've been in a posse who wants to run at full speed across the map, that stamina drain is pretty big.
The Nacogdoches Saddle was intentionally "accidentally" made the best saddle in the game because of the book Blood Meridian. Nacogdoches is the town where all the madness begins in the book and being one of the more influential modern works of "Wild West" literature and one of the darkest, most violent books ever, makes sense, plus the skulls. IMHO.
This is such excellent content I don't even know where to start. I think you would make it in the scientific field. I'm honest. You have the critical thinking and even when you find something that speaks to one behalf, you immediately counter even if it means you don't get what you thought or wanted. This is crucial in the scientific field and I applaud anyone outside academia who has this mindset. Using it to present video game mechanics is just a bonus. The accent is a cherry on top.
I tested this out to and I can really say rockstar needs keep their shit together this is not how an update should be. I also hate that We can’t buy a collector saddle bag with the upland saddle. It limits the outfits to only 4
Right?! I bought the saddle, went to buy stirrups and the saddle bag only to see they are all greyed out. On top of that, the new BH saddle suffers from the same lame animation that the Naturalist saddle does when trying to mount your horse. It looks so dumb how your character throws their body on the horse bc they dont use the stirrups. But even the Naturalist upgraded saddle bags only hold 5 outfits...
this is why i instantly delete this saddle, even tho i really liked the look of it and it had not a big difference to nacadoches to me. I think if people prefer looks of the Horse with the saddle over Outfit storrage - go for it. If u are like me a fashion victim - this is a big No ^^'

I use the nagadoches saddle because it's the only saddle in the game where it increases the horses speed and acceleration by 1 bar and with the best stirrups which increases it by 2, together they give the horse an extra 3 speed and 3 acceleration. My Norfolk Roadster is my fastest horse with 10 speed and 9 acceleration
@Florida Man no 10 is the highest in speed and stamina. Each horse has a limit based on the breed, nature, build and behavior examples: Arabians have the best handling but get scared the quickest The new mustangs are similar to the Arabian with the same speed but more health and stamina and are the bravest horse in the game so a better alternative than the Arabian Norfolk Roadster is the best horse for travel and speed with 10 speed and 9 acceleration max
@@Heyoo414 idk why but I kinda feel naked or defenseless when I ride in dark areas with no lantern on my horse. I know it’s not a big deal but still it bugs me 😅
@@richanec2854 in practice you are actually much more vulnerable with the light, because in the night players can see your horse lantern at long range before they can even see your blip on the minimap. I can't tell you how many times someone's horse lantern has given away their position and let me get an easier snipe 😅
Eagle eye + unlocked at bounty hunter rank 7 is night vision. Turn it on at full gallop in the dead of night and you see everything! IMO the lantern makes you a griefer target.
I‘m lvl 135 and it’s very rare for me to encounter a Griefer. Maybe I’m just lucky, but 90% of the people I meet in this game just mind their own business.
Thanks for the tests Cat. I bought 3 of the Upland saddles for my main horses and after seeing your review I agree with your findings. At first glance they are better based on the stats, but as you pointed out they’re really not. Oh well. At least I can use either one for variety and not have too much of a difference.
I bought the upland but also own 9 nacogdoches + hooded stirrups for my other horses. I wish there were more saddles at least as good as the nacogdoches. The upland would have been really cool despite being slightly inferior to the nacogdoches if it included a small health boost for your horse.

I’ve been watching your videos for a few days now and I finally Subscribed! You are awesome and I wanted to thank you for so many tips in online 😁 I bought the Nacogdoches saddle for two other horses and now my Nokota is maxed out for speed!
What else would you spend gold on then? Bounty Hunter is meant to be the gold earning role, the daily challenge nerf is a means to curb players towards playing a ROLE that gives gold as opposed to just random challenges. I moght even use my treasure maps again. You dont have to buy everything as soon as you unlock it, there will be future discounts and sales to take advantage of...
I will continue to use Nacogdoches, the 7 Outfits i can have on it makes it for me and the ability to customize it more makes it far superior to Upland imo.
I use the mickinney saddle myself because I like all the collector Knick knacks on it like the frying pan because it makes my character feel more like an adventuring frontiersman :)
3:08 - The 3 Gold Speed Bars increas from "Nachadoches" vs 2 Gold Speed Bars increase from "Upland" is actually only a 0.7% difference in speed (which translates to a 1 second lead victory in racing from Emerald Station to Valentine Station across the map). So in the end this difference is nominal...
I use the upland saddle because it looks good. It may not be the best but I like the idea of having to manage stamina. The challenge is always nice to a hardcore player like myself.
I heard gold cores disappearing on horses has been fixed in some cases (entering stables for example). Perhaps other horse stats have been fixed too. You might want to run some quick trials to see if there are changes since the Dec 1 update.

Thanks for testing this out. The Uplands is a good looking saddle no doubt. That's the only reason I use other saddles like the Fletcher and others. I've already seen ppl posting vids that it's the best new saddle, just like the new mustang coat being the best horse in game now.
I live by the Upland Saddle. Has never failed me. Keeps my horses stamina full at all times. Tip: If you calm you're horse as you're sprinting it will regain a small amount of stamina every 15 seconds.

You named one of your horses T-34? (7:55) I'm really into tanks and armored vehicles, my favorite T-34 was the T-34/85. My favorite russian/soviet tank ever has to be the T90MS Tagil :) I prefer Russian aircraft to their tanks though. SU-30 SM is really beautiful

The new saddle looks great 👍 but nacodochos is still give 1 bonus acceleration an 1 for speed , more than all others saddles... so is still the best one ☝️
The best horse depends entirely on ones play style and role. The top tier horse associated with the trader is in sufficent in doing top tier Bounty Hunting for example. In as much as I have three roles that I engage in, I've got three horses.
The new saddle looks really cool but I don’t have any more stable space for a new horse. I use several different saddles based on the look with the horse... stats aren’t that important to me at all 🤷♂️
