NEW Version with Gyro Jiabaile 1/43 RC Car Review, Test Drive VS OG Version with DasMikro V5 Gyro

In this video I review the NEW Gyro Version of the Jiabaile 1/43 scale RC car. I talk about what changes they made from the original version and compare it to the original version with a DasMikro V5 Gyro installed. I show what the PCB looks like under the body and show the differences from the original. Then I do a test drive of the New version and compare how it drifts against the original with the DasMikro V5 Gyro installed. It's hard for me to decide which I like better at the moment so I'll let you decide what you think is better. The New version is cheaper than adding an external gyro to the old version so keep that in mind, Thanks for watching!

what did you settle on for gyro gain? Also one undocumented feature I saw on a random site is that you can now also save the steering trim: Memory Function Setup: After pairing, adjust the vehicle’s direction travel slightly. Turn off the remote control first, wait for the vehicle's light to flash, then turn off the vehicle to complete the memory function setup.

Thanks for reminding me, I remember you said that and I just forgot to mention it in the video so I will pin your comment for people to see. So far I haven't settled on a certain percent for drifting since I feel like different settings are good depending on what way you wanna drift, for example: 40-70% seems good for tight circles and whipping the backend around for quick directional change. 70-100% seems to work better for bigger sweeping drifts, larger controlled circles It kind of drifts similar to my AWD Mini-Z which is much different than say my RWD K969 with max steering. I plan on modding one to be RWD and will do my best to increase the steering angle to see how it performs with that setup over AWD since I prefer RWD.

Finally they add a gyro but they don't take the time to add rear suspension of course, great video by the way 👍

Dude have you looked for front drive cups or dog bone replacements... been on the hunt basically no luck.. might have to custom 😑woo.. These cars are dope!

Damn that sucks you broke one man, no I haven't seen any replacement parts for anything on the car yet. Hopefully they will start making them available soon, I wouldn't might getting some extras so I can start modding without worrying about ruining the car if I mess something up. If I find anything online I'll let you know.

@@AirToGroundRCFPV naw didn't break.. there fine... alittle looser... now.. 🤣😬 but fine.... just tighting this thing up.. doing front end work ... been playing with using baring on the axels and inside the wheel rims.. rubber on the front and backend for suspension... gona go to 2x3x5 mm springs on the front ... I got a lazy spring on the front left and loose on the right... woo ..but it's 😎 ... cars still so much fun... I wish 1 43 had a pro bracket or atlest support.. 1 28 is about the line... although I have found a 1/35-38 thing on ali that has parts .. in metal awd and diff cups... fun fact... I'll get the info and drop it back here later or next vid u make which ever is first...✌

@@AirToGroundRCFPV 1/35 RTX has full metal internals and gears and diff cups and drivie pins. has super small ball front drive hubs.. looks like a 4 mm hex on the cup so the drive pin should only have to be squared up and should work but there's replacement and the axels come in different sizes! 🤘this is it!

@@adamross4774 I saw those, wasn't sure if the parts would be a good alternative or not to swap out on these cars since it's a crawler but the metal gear servo on them definitely looks like a good replacement. Might have to give it shot eventually, they are pretty pricey though so if they don't work that would suck lol

I'm glad I'm watching this video because I bought the gyro version after your initial video but before the official gyro version video and was scared I'd be receiving a worse rc car than the original

Yea luckily it's actually pretty good, you never know with these cheap gyros they throw on these cars if they are gonna suck or not. This one is good enough to where spending the extra money for an aftermarket gyro is really not needed now. Glad I could help you out and put your mind at ease that you didn't waste your money lol

Yea that's basically what I'm gonna do to one of them and see how it comes out, I'm curious to see how they perform with RWD setup. Getting more angle is also on my to do list but it's going to be a full rebuild mod up front to get what I'm looking for. Good luck with yours and I'll make videos eventually on how mine came out once I get around to it.

You're telling me bro. It's really annoying they didn't fix that when they made this gyro version. I don't feel like modding something that should already be a stock feature. They could have added the same front suspension in the rear, they are just lazy and want to save money and work it seems unfortunately.

The power to weight ratio can be really high with these little RC cars so a gyro can help stabilize the car and maintain a steady angle while drifting around to keep it from constantly spinning out. It also can help keep it under control on straightaways and turns while racing.

Ok no one is forcing you to buy anything so if you're not interested then no big deal. Try looking around the internet for something else that you do like but good luck finding something this small or anything RC related for that matter that's not made in China. I just don't know why you are wasting your time watching my videos if you want nothing to do with this RC car and then telling anyone that wants to get one they are wasting their money. Honestly I would like to know what other RC cars are similar to this that is worth the money to you that is not made in China, Link them in the comments here:
