I bought a C6 last December and it had front side markers from Vette lights but was missing that LS112 piece, within a couple minutes you described exactly what I needed to fix my issue, thank you!!
I've never seriously thought about LED lights everywhere on my '06 Vette. I'm the original owner of her, she's going on eighteen-years-old and in terms of handling and performance my wife still tells me to slow down! She got a beautiful Mother's Day gift, so she agreed I can install the remaining LED lights that remain. And I'm pretty excitement about seeing what they look like!
Thanks for the comparison. I purchased rear marker lights for my C5 from Vette Lights. Can't believe all the compliments I received. They offer a superior product and I'll recommend them to every Vette owner!
They are definitely good folks to deal with, I have always been super happy every time I buy from them. Heck...I even get to use my own discount code. 😄
I have the Vette Lights, I am very happy and satisfied with them. Every time I look at them I know it was a good purchase. Cole is awesome to deal with. Dave from Alabama
I really do like the crisp line that the Oracle LED's produce much better, but I went with Vette-Lights for all the other reasons, mainly because of their price. Plus, the "look" of the Vette-Lights while participating at Car Shows is perfect. All my LED upgrades have been through Vette-Lights and my favorite is the C7 headlight upgrade. Save the Wave.🙋🏼♂️
Excellent review! I bought the ghosted black Oracles and had an issue with one only partially illuminating. I contacted Oracle and they declined the warranty claim because it was over two years since I purchased them. They offered to sell me one replacement at a cost of more then what a complete set of the Vette Lights ones cost. My car only has 9K miles and never sees the elements. Under 1K miles run time. Needless to say I was really disappointed with their product and lack of customer service. Bought a set of Vette Lights and will be replacing the Oracles. Cole's customer service is second to none, highly recommend!
Thanks Jason , I just ordered the painted black laser side marker lights, got the dark smoked morimotto tail lights. Thanks to your discount i saved $92.00
Just ordered a set of the vette lights for my newly acquired '05. First mod. Thanks for the comparison, product review, and discount code. Worked great! Look forward to looking at your other content.
Great comparison, Jason. I personally like the look of the Vette Lights marker better because it scatters the light more + seems brighter in my opinion. Still waiting for the high power headlight bulb shootout vid (SV-4, SL1, 2 stroke 2.0, etc. VS. Katana, Nineo, PrecionLED Kepler Series, F2, + some other potentially powerful bulbs I sent you).
Glad to see a SBS of these two! I got Oracle’s and about a week later Vette Lights Released theirs. Happy with the Oracles even for the extra money as they are the preferred look for me. Had a set on my 11 SS Camaro as well!
Just got my Vette Lights markers last week. They look nice in the box, waiting to install them until I do some other work but for the price they're a no brainer.
@UCHRFCD1rje61iy0Nj%F0%9F%98%86XMI%F0%9F%98%95pvA Yeah...but if they are going to be scratching your side markers, shouldn't you be more worried about the paint? ;);) Nah...I know exactly what you are talking about. I am wried about things like that myself.
Glad you did this video! I kept looking at these but saw your Oracle video and was sold on those ghosted. Well after this video I see the quality is great for such an inexpensive price. I ordered the Morimoto Light Smoke Tail Lights and feel based on your video will match a little better. If I had went with Dark Smoke on the tail lights may have leaned towards the Oracle. Thank you again for the video and after your discount these side markers came out to $100.00
Vette Lights version looks better in my opinion. I just don’t care for seeing a single strip of LEDs. I’m thinking about doing the clear side markers and the clear morimoto tail lights on my silver convertible. To me it’ll look super clean. Thanks for showing all this stuff! It really helps!
They are both good looking, but I'm leaning towards the Vette-Lights. Oh, BTW. Miss the weekly Camaro Show podcast. Now I'm missing the monthly podcast. It's been almost 2 months and still nothing. Please bring it back... Thanks for the videos. Take care and stay healthy and safe..
Thanks for the nice words. The Camaro news has tapered quite a bit, and both Chris and I have had some things come up that got in the way. But, we will get back in our studios and record another one as soon as we can .
My vote goes to the Vette Lights because of the somewhat 3D look they provide with the diffusion/LED combo. The light source looks like it's set back within the side marker whereas the Oracles appear to be more surface level. The price only makes it that much better. That being said, the Oracles do look incredible and offer great finish.
I bought the ghosted with black paint Oracle side markers for my white C6 a couple months ago and they look amazing! That being said I think I like the Oracle a little more than Vette Lights but the big downside was the price! Huge difference on price on both of them as far as the ghosted ones.
thanks for all the great info. and I plan on buying these once I finish upgrading to the ceramic pads and Caliper covers for my Corvette. Vette-Lights Laser Side Markers will be a nice addition to the regular dot light marker. Ghosted color for me also.
@@InJasonsGarage O my goodness the appearance has transformed the Corvette look overall and honestly it is one of the best upgrades I could have ever done. thanks, Jason you rock!
I have the vette lights and love them. Got in on the first set for $85! Can't beat that. And they go great with the morimoto headlights and tail lights. And all the other black accents I have. I just need new wheels. Trying to find a set with the factory size though. Harder task than anticipated though
Hey Paul! See this video...ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LE-cmvFf6OU.html Short version, the fronts are accessed by removing the screws in front of the front tire (turn the wheel to make room). The rears you remove the outer tail light and reach in. In both cases, you pinch the clips to release them. Be careful, the clips are fragile and brittle and do easily break (have some double sided tape handy, just in case...but don't use too much or you will never get the side marker off!).
My Vette Lights will be here tomorrow, I chose them because of cost for the most part. Also, why have a light thats 2" or so tall for a 1/8" line of lights? I like the fact the VL's illuminate most of the lens. The lights are there for a reason........ my opinion
Tuff decision, I like both too, don't know which one to order, which tail lights did you like better, eagle eyes or morimotto ? About to order both side and tail lights !
Hands down...the Morimoto's are MUCH better quality. I have seen both and there is no comparison. Do you think a shootout video between the two would be helpful to people considering both?
@@InJasonsGarage Thanks, I was leaning toward them, the dark smoked, on my sonic blue c6, and the laser lights, hope they have them in stock !!!!! Really enjoy your videos, Thanks !!
I have not, and I don't believe they exist. You can always get some Lamin-X tint film and do it yourself. Here's a link to get 20% off Lamin-X if it helps: bit.ly/laminxdiscount You can also take your housings to a good custom body shop and they can mix a little bit of black with some clearcoat and tint them that way. I am curious as to why you don't want LEDs?
In Jason's Garage I had molded in black ones I bought for my z06 back in about 2010, and now for my Zr1 I wanted them but don’t think anyone makes them anymore. I don’t like the line of lights. Guess I’ll have to have my z06 ones I still have painted for the zr1
In Jason's Garage I found them!!! eBay #161189878061. Company is GS Creations. These are by far my favorite. They have the diamond pattern just like stock. These coupled with red/amber led replacement bulbs look great
@@bdun1226 Ha! You know what? I thought this comment was on my other video about LED tail lights. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sQCF7IcKU_s.html Sorry! Yeah, those will do the trick!
I also have both sets of side markers. I got the Oracle ones painted. I really like them but was disappointed in the paint match. My car is CRM and the markers are darker than my car. Overall I like them but that does bug me.
That's a bummer that your paint doesn't match. It would bug me too! Aside from that, which do you like better? The Oracle versions or the Vette-Lights versions?
In Jason's Garage without the color issue I lean towards the Oracles. I like the crisp line of light that they give. I bought both sets through Cole at Vette lights.
Hey Jason thanks for the video Tried to buy them from your link and for some reason it won’t apply the discount even at time of checkout like you mentioned. Can you give me what the price is with the discount ? I’m trying to compare on a couple of different sites and want to get them through you so you get the commission but want to know exactly what they’ll cost
I just checked and it works. Hit the link in the description, add the side markers to your cart, and then you should see the discount at checkout. Total price is $100 after the 10% discount. Give it another try?
I know...I know...I kinda slacked. Got tied up with other things, and getting the car into the shop for the headers has been a challenge. However, check my other videos...I did swap the wheels out.
