Ah it’s Sunday again and time for BB’s weekly vid, thanks Tim! If we finally get a definitive ANH Han to coincide with a Cantina release in 2025, one alien we desperately need a retool for is Greedo! I don’t see him mentioned much but hope he’s on Hasbro’s radar to recreate the iconic scene where Han shoots first. McClunkey!

Ponda Baba in a 2-pk with the original Kenner cardback would be a worthy release. I have 3 of the TVC/ TBS 3.75 version, and he's really good custom fodder as well as just being a nice figure.

Great video BB! I’m pretty sure Bossk not only shares his space-suit with the yellow spacer but also with BoShek. So most of the tooling for 3 figures should make this a priority for Hasbro

9:49 Completely agree on this point. TVC 1.0 TPM selection was odd. I was absolutely baffled Daultay Dofine received a figure before Nute Gunray or Padme in her purple Theed Palace assault battle dress or her iconic red Queen Amidala dress from the beginning of the film. With the new Count Dooku and other Prequel characters being added to TVC 2.0, do you think Hasbro will give us a TVC Nute Gunray as well as other memorable Separatist Leaders? In addition will we get a Chancellor Palpatine in his iconic red robes (softgoods hopefully) from Revenge of the Sith when Mace Windu attempts to arrest him? Great video, BB!

Tim! Thanks for the vid! Great stuff. Another thing that’s changed big time from the time of that TPM wave from 2012 is volume. Of course, I have no hard numbers but that TPM wave was made in much greater numbers than current waves, given that they were taking up actual retail pegs all over the place. The reason for the most obscure characters in that wave is that Hasbro still had a bit of a focus on never-made characters from TPM. These days, main characters like Theed Battle Padme, main outfit Anakin, Maul and Qui-Gon would be great choices. No sign of prequel fatigue these days. Quite the opposite.

I was glad to hear someone mention Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru. Maybe we could get a two pack for them for Attack Of The Clones and one for A New Hope. Similar to the showdown two pack with Obi-Wan and Vader. Or a Hasbro Pulse Exclusive 4 pack like the Jabba's Court Denizens set.

I just picked up Ponda Baba last week on eBay even though it's the 3.75 black series I'm very happy I paid $14.99 but like you said the TVC version is very expensive

Howdy Bossk! Great video as always! QFNW (apologies if it’s lengthy): I also follow Victoria’s Cantina, and she brought up some big concerns most fans of TVC have at the moment: it’s the 25th anniversary of TPM, retro and black series have figures to celebrate this, great for those collectors! It doesn’t make sense to celebrate that movie in other lines and not TVC especially when the community asks for it. What could be impacting hasbro’s character selection in the line? We are getting almost 2 waves of mando season 3 repaints, still no bad batch, missing mains, no baylan and shin, and no PT love, almost like Hasbro doesn’t want our money! The pessimist in me is going wild. Cheers!

Tim there is a legal reason the tonnika sisters cannot ever be made as figures ,,so in the leak for the cantina where it said possibly includes 8 carded figures ..they will absolutely not include the sisters ..I have the best 2 loose customs of the characters ever made, fully articulated and screen accurate but I paid a fortune for them

Hello BB, QFNW: If Hasbro were to do a Mon Mothma in the Vintage Collection, would you rather they did her appearance from either, Return of the Jedi, Andor or Ashoka? I would prefer her Andor appearance because we barely have any figures from Andor in TVC.

Hasbro, please get an updated darth malgus tvc onto shelves soon. The black series version was in almost everybodys top ten for 2023, and he would sell like hot cakes in 3.75".

Hallo there BB! Greeting from the Netherlands! I have to say your content really rocks! More then often, I first look at one of your reviews before purchasing a figure. I already asked this question last video, I hope you can get around to it this week: I've heard you complain several times about the TVC deluxs packs - not that you should hold youself back, let Hasbro know that they are being stupid! Personally, I don't hate the packs, but I do disgust the way Hasbro is using them. Let's be honest: of all the deluxs packs, only two are really deluxe (the E-web cannon and the Dark trooper). I get the feeling that Hasbro is mainly using the packs to sell figures at a higher price point. The Jango on card actually has more accessories than the one in the delux pack!!! Do you think your irritation with the packs would be less if Hasbro used them more like, for example, the E-web and Dark trooper? Give us a 221th clone on a crab droid Hasbro! Thanks for all your great content and keep up the great work!

Hey BB, bit of a tangential QFNW. I’ve always seen Indiana Jones as sort of hand-in-hand with Star Wars, as the venn diagram of their fanbases, production teams, and overall vibes is essentially a circle. Do you think hasbro would ever make a TVC style action figure line for Indy, and if so would you collect it? They’ve already committed to 6-inch and retro lines, and a highly articulated 3.75 line should be the next logical step. I know they sort of did them for KOTCS, but those are so expensive and outdated nowadays. Thanks for all you do!

I saw from the leaked screenshots where the $499 version of the Cantina, assuming it's real, comes with 8 figures. QFNW: Do you think they would be on POTF cards, and also made available in the mainline or fan channel? Hasbro has to know that carded collector’s will want the Tonnika Sisters for example, to put their cantina, but won’t want to open the ones that come exclusive if they are unique cards. Two packs are definitely the way to go with a simultaneous release with the Haslab, or at least an announcement they will be available soon. A two pack of Tonnika’s on Kenner card. A two pack of the Duros. Han and Greedo. As you mentioned Ponda and the Doc. BoShek and Ben?! I keep my Haslab figures carded, so I will need a spare set. And as a true completionist, I will need a two pack to keep and a two pack to open of the UNPUNCHED Kenner card as well!

Hasbro seems to really be making an effort to re-release costly figures in TBS 6” line now. But we are not seeing the same desire in TVC. Why do you think there is no interest in getting some of the most expensive ones back out again? Lots of PT figures that are very difficult to purchase on secondary market.

Great video as always BB, QFNW: do you think after the revelation, of the Cantina being the HasLab, that Hasbro will do a sandtrooper four pack? The newest ANH TK is already perfect, so all we need them to do, is take the paldron from the JFO Heavy TK, and add a backpack to it, give us an orange, white and two black paldrons. I feel it’s important, because the sandtroopers walk through the cantina. What are your thoughts? Mtfbwy!

Hey Bossk, I've got a question for next week's episode. I know the sequels aren't everybody's favorite cup of tea, but given that next year is going to be The Force Awakens' 10th Anniversary, what figures would you like to see in TVC. I personally would love a new Rey figure without her gloves packed-in with BB-8 and an old man Han & newly sculpted Chewie two pack. I know TPM didn't get any new TVC figures for the 25th anniversary & and it's beyond me why Hasbro decided not to do that this year.

Hey BB! QFNW! There seems to be a big push for rebels figures right now. We are getting four with the Haslab, we received Thrawn amd Zeb, there is the Sabine and Chopper 2-pack…and finally the preorder if Kanan. Comparatively speaking, we have only received Hera, Sabine and chopper from Ahsoka. Would it not have made more sense to put the ghost in a rebels box? A Show that feature it a lot more than Ahsoka? why not even put a different race track on each side. One side could have been rebels and the other Ahsoka. Would you personally like to see a dual design in each side?

QFNW - Star Wars Celebration Japan might be 1 year away, but it's never too early to start discussing possible exclusives. Star Wars Visions season 1 might have come out in 2021, but could you think of a better possible Vintage Collection exclusive for Celebration Japan than the Ronin? He's a character that seems almost tailor made to represent Star Wars while simultaneously celebrating Japanese culture.

Hey Bossk! Potential controversial take but I feel like the current Star Wars toy scene is a little bleak and is a bit too focused on collectors and adult fans to the point its damaging the products aimed at kids. I grew up on the Saga collection and the ROTS figures, and I feel like a good chunk of those figures hold up to this day, were as now it feels like we either get a expensive and possibly delicate collectors item, or an underwhelming 5POA range. I think there should be some middle ground between these two, with figures that can last and have decent articulation but arent necessarily TVC standard. I see a lot of people complain about anything else "taking away" from TVC and honestly I think that amount of focus might end up doing more damage long term than alternate options. What are your thoughts on this? Love the videos!

QFNW: What are your thoughts on troop builder packs that could feature smaller aliens, such as Ewoks, Jawas, and Ugnaughts? I would like to see all of those made, but since they are smaller, should they be 4-packs, or maybe 6-packs? If they included A LOT of cool non-specific (generic) world building accessories like crates, control panels, etc. that could be used in dioramas or something, I would be ok with 4-packs. Or maybe they could have like 4 figures and a small creature (such as 4 Ewoks and a Bordok, or 4 Jawas and a Womp Rat, for example) However, if the figures only come with like a gun, or a spear, then I think they should have at least 6 figures in the pack for the same price as the previously released (standard sized figure) 4-packs. I think multi-packs on smaller characters is the way to go, because collectors feel like it's not a good deal when they have to pay as much for a carded Grogu as they do a for a Chewbacca. And Hasbro can produce smaller figures for less on their end...and save the consumers money by cutting the distribution/packaging expenses on these multi-packs.

Q: for next week Do you know much about the production line of TVC i would love to know more about how TVC figures are painted (some by hand?) or is it like a stamping process. I am curious mostly on its own but also because i always liked the idea Hasbro would sell you phase 2 clones for cheaper than retail, and you'd pay to have somebody do the legion colour for you.

I don’t think character selection was the problem with the TPM wave of 2011. I think it was just flat out over ordered and overproduced. Retail thought it was going to be a repeat of 1999 with the 3-D release of TPM, ordered a ton of product. That backfired obviously.

Hi BB. Essential teatime viewing as always. QFNW - if the Cantina has lots of figures as it seems and you only buy 1, what do you do as far as open or carded? The last 2 haslabs have avoided that controversy and the ghost has similar-ish options at retail. It’s only Bib Fortuna and Anton Merrick that have really been paywalled. Do you keep a Wuher or Tonnika on card and pray (unlikely) for a retail release on different card or open them as they are essential to the set. Total speculation but where does reward and exclusivity overlap with controversy? The Cobra Commander with the HISS tank was obvious a retail version was coming but less so here?

Is it combined or is it different goals for each one, like you back the deluxe one it goes to it’s own goal or is it like you by the deluxe and it goes to the non deluxe one. Hey BB, QFNW: I know your channel is focused on TVC, but I was wondering, what do you think of the Micro Galaxy Squadron line? Over the past year I've found some of my collecting focus shifting from TVC to MGS because it's more affordable and easier to find space for. I couldn't afford to back the Ghost Haslab, but this summer I'll be able to get a Ghost in MGS for $60, and I won't have to ask myself, "Where the heck do I put it?" And just last week I picked up the TPM 25th anniversary Gungan Bongo Submarine in MGS, and that's a great vehicle that I never expect to see in TVC. TVC is great for figures of characters, but it's hard to afford the prices on what few vehicles they do actually make. Your thoughts?

Hey Bossk, always a great time watching your show. QFNW, with the HasLab "leak," it pretty much answered my question about the price. Now that the loth cat is out of the bag, I'm really struggling. I'm seeing a lot of criticism from fans about the price point and usually I don't jump on that badwagon. That said, I bit the bullet for the Ghost last year (and beat myself up with buyer's remorse afterward). I'd really love a Cantina set, but dropping $399 (or $499) is really hard for me to justify for this set. What are your thoughts?

Hi. My Question: I'm interested in versions of the mains that have NEVER been made. Got 2 in particular. Outside of the original Kenner, Luke in Xwing gear has always been produced wearing his black gloves, BUT he spends most of his time on Yavin with gloves off. Seems an easy variation to make. And what about Endor Lando? I can never tell but he is actually wearing something different at the end of the movie Ewok party? Is this actually a variation of Lando that has never been made? Your opinion on these two and any others you can think of? Thanks!

Hasbro needs to remake Stormtrooper TK-421 to match up with the latest version of the standard imperial stormtrooper.

Darth vader tie fighter redo? I'm not certive about it. I see lots of the old Darth vader ties from 1995 & legacy n original trilogy collection years. If hasbro were do a new Darth vader tie its going be way too big, too much money & very overpriced n expensive. The quality may even be cheap or good depend if it turns out fine. I rather buy one of the old ones of ebay than spend a lot amount. You even said this with the Millennium falcon if they made retro collection one, there's plenty of existing Millennium falcons out there you just have find them somehow. Have certain amount money for one if you're lucky. I have most of the late n old stuff. I'm good with I got.
