Hello everyone!
In this short video, I'm driving on the Scottish Bannochbrae track. It's clear here that in Assetto Corsa, the AI difficulty level depends on the track, not just the opponent settings.
For those following the engine start or anti-lag system project, you can see how it currently works at the beginning of the video. Currently, the anti-lag maintains the engine RPM within the specified range, but it does so too slowly. I'll try to work on improving this, but I'm running out of ideas.
A few words about the VRS Direct Force Pro controller from December 24, 2023. I'm not a skilled driver, but the new version of the VRS software has given a second life to this setup. I previously used version HW 4.0 and was satisfied, but the version released on December 24, 2023, exceeded my expectations. I feel much more connected to what's happening with the car, and I can react much faster. The current version eliminated slight "clicking" when the base is idle, excessive oscillations during serious collisions, and introduced a user-friendly interface with descriptions of available settings.
All of this makes this hardware a very good choice in 2024 or an excellent choice if you consider the quality-to-price ratio.
