A great video! Perfect length , cool camera angles, fun, energetic, positive and full of info. The new format looks to be perfect in my eyes The car is also on the same level. What a great car and that front end really has grown on me. Great mpg especially with quirk behind the wheel. I hope it’s not the last golf. Cheers
Yes, it’s one that has to be seen in person, bit different to our Mk2, thought initially too rounded at front, now love it after experiencing it for a week, thank you Jonathan
It boils down to whether you like VW or Audi - we both lean towards the Golf as we have our own Mk2, and love the blue accents! They both have the same powertrain though, so give them both a go - see which suits you. Let us know which one you choose! 😎 *A

Great video! I have a ehybrid but find motorway cruising in hybrid mode horribly drony, I’m not sure it’s this particular car but cruising for more than an hour on the motorway is very tiring.
Seems to be the case with hybrids - to a point. However, some are quieter than others, especially with this new breed of eCVT. Glad you enjoyed it, thanks @kieranbutroid4631. *A
It’s typical VWG not bad, solid but plasticy , there are some decent finishes though. We’d go for the Fabia Monte Carlo may not be hybrid but it’s a dam good car with the 1.5 also we have arguably the best Golf, Mk2 😀
Decent review, however you listed loads of things which after I did some research found were optional extras (heads up display etc) which pushes the price up of an already expensive vehicle. Please include in future videos what is actually standard and what isn't. Cheers
It would be interesting to see, as this is rumoured to be one of the last Golf’s - with the release of the I.D.3 we may not get another one. We shall have to wait and see...*A
Controlling the air con is done my pulling your finger along on a touch pad which cant be done as your driving. Their is no cd player its all car play now.
Anyone would think you were paid by Volkswagen for that “review” , no criticism whatsoever . The interior is truly awful , extremely dangerous, having to go through menus to do simple tasks is idiotic , these touchscreens should be banned like using a phone is , I know it’s part of the car , proper switches are much better . Would not own a car without a spare wheel , I have needed one several times over the years. I have driven a Mk8 we had at work , would certainly not swap my car for it .
Totally disagree, many people hate big infotainment screens, where as I went out of the way to get rid of functionality in my cars, massive pioneer screens etc. The interior is high quality and styled in the way of the Mk1, and I love it- I like Golfs always will, favourite being the Clubsport of the new ones. I say there were no bonnet struts as well as a few other things 🤨 in my eyes it’s an excellent car *B
