The ppq 45 needs more RU-vid love

I picked up the 45 ppq 3 weeks ago and finally got to shoot it. All I can say is that this pistol is bad ass! I've shot a 1911, MP45, and the FNX45. Overall PPQ 45 had the best group for me. Great review!

I've also owned the Springfield 45 mod2 which was also pretty good as well.

That is Awesome! You have some Very Nice Pistols there. Good to hear that you liked the PPQ in 45. I look forward to putting the first 200 rounds down range. The grip is great and the trigger is even better. I am gonna need another 1,000 rounds of 45ACP. :). Beretta Sr.

I like the ppq 9mm but for a 45 I will just stay with my glock ! That's why I love glock, such a low bore axis. Nice vid guys!!

I had a g21 for 23 years, And When it was robbed I just had to replace it. And I did with a gen 4. About 6 months later I was introduced to the walther ppq 45. It is now without a doubt one of the best 45 acp I have. The g21 is no contender. My 1911s however, colt gold cup NM, STI 2011, Para ordnance 14+1 etc. Can complete against the ppq. But the ergonomics of the ppq and felt recoil are great

This is by far the best comparison video review of the PPQ Family I've seen, only way it could be better is if you had the 5 inch 9mm or 40 cal. Good job guys.

Hi Rodney, good to see you on the Channel my friend! The 9mm or 40 PPQ in a 5 inch is on my list for 2018..... I just have to wait on it for a little bit. Stay Safe my friend! Beretta Sr.

My PPQ .45 put the rounds right where I pointed the gun. Check those stupid finger grips, (IMHO) and the undercut on the Block. PPQ has the advantage in every way!

PPQ for the win, hands down. Even with the higher bore axis, the PPQ shoots like a Cadillac. It's gentle enough to get back on target far fast than most pistols of t his caliber. I EDC this with relative ease.

Amazing how my PPQ M2 9mm falls so easily into the hand for my hands, and apparently everyone elses. You pay a price for the great ergonomics of the Walther with the higher bore axis, but it's offset by the comfort and grip. The trigger? The Walther wins all day every day. Glock loyalty reminds me of truck loyalty!

The Remington 45 magazines work perfectly in the PPQ 45 and hold 15 rounds. Sits Flush. $22 bucks and available. The trigger is way better than the Glock and the grip is obviously superior. If you can forget the a Glock hype it’s an easy choice! Walther all day!

I love the ppq but you have to replace the mag button spring. On both my ppq's the button was too light and would occasionally drop the mag when you pulled it out of a holster (particularly a safariland retention holster) or touched it with your thumb while shooting. An easy check to see if your button spring is too small or weak is to lightly push in the button half way and slowly let go... on both of my ppq's under the original springs the button would stick. I bought the wolf spring pack (like one of the websites said) and installed a slightly longer random wolf spring... and its really good fix. I can even rest my thumb on it while shooting without any fear the mag will drop. As far as I'm concerned it's an absolute must.

Why the 5 mags rule? Just trying to learn. Thanks!
@BERETTA9mmUSA
@BERETTA9mmUSA 8 лет назад
Hi Eric, I keep 3 loaded at all times and 2 empty. Every 12 months I unload 2 of the full mags and load up the 2 empty mags. This rotation in magazines will help the mags last 10 to 12 years before the mag springs should be replaced. The same type of rotation should be practiced with AR15 mags.... I have about 8 loaded and 150 unloaded to preserve the life and reliability of the springs. I pick a date .... Like January 1st of each year or Christmas time, or your Birthday..... Any date will work as long as you do not forget to change them out. Weak springs in handguns and AR Rifles will cause malfunctions. When you change magazines a range trip should be made to ensure everything is running 100%. I look at it like changing the oil in the car.... If you don't take care of it... They will break down and be unreliable. Beretta Sr.

I bought a PPQ 45 as soon as they arrived at my LGS. It was a soft recoiling shooter with a great trigger, but what turned me off was the length of the grip. A couple months later I bought a Sig P320c in 45 and though the magazine only holds 9 rounds the pistol is almost identical in size as my P320c in 9mm. After shooting both side by side I sold the Walther. Check out Sigs P320c in 45, I'd enjoy your opinion of it.

AWESOME!!! Congrats. Last week I bought a new PPQ 9 and Walther updated the slide to match the look of their PPQ 45 with the angled cut behind the barrel chamber. So the new PPQ 9 and 40's look like smaller clones 100% with the new reshape. I love it. May have to get the 40. The PPQ 45 soaks u recoil very well, but I could not get as fast of follow up shots compared to my new PPQ 9mm. (rented the 45). I love my M&P 45 mid-size but I wouldn't mind another 45. I'm also trying to decide between the Glock 19 and 23. YOU got me into Glocks, haha. You did the impossible. I'm also curious about the Ruger American Pistol but I want a Glock first. ...or another Walther. :D Anyway, looking forward to next vids. Take care. You guys rock!

Hey there Sportimus! Congratulations on your Walther PPQ in 9MM, get the 40 caliber too.... It is Awesome. The Glock 19 Gen 4 is a flat out 10 in my book. I Love my Gen 4 Glock 22 in 40 caliber, it's another 10 to me. The Glock 23 in 40 Cal is still kinda New to me, but I am digging it allot. That gives you several Fantastic choices..... Now to throw out my only surprise for you, I am taking a pass on the Ruger American.... I did not like it as much as any of the ones mentioned above in this comment, and I like my Ruger SR9 pistols much better in the hand then The American. Great to see you are picking up and looking at some Great Pistols! Your Pal, Beretta Sr

Walther makes excellent handguns and has a great reputation, but I must admit I don't like the way it looks. My first impression was a High Point, and it has a funny look to the back end of the slide. Might as went with a beaver tail, but fortunately, it shoots better than it looks.

The Walther 45ACP has 30% more recoil then the Walther PPQ in 9mm.... sounds like I would stick to the 9mm one if I was you. If you already have the PPQ in 9mm get the Sig P320 in Compact size ..... it is excellent with a fantastic trigger. Beretta Sr.
