Arrowhead: " Look players, a Warbond with the title " Polar Patriots ". Did you expect we gave the armor certain perks to fit into Ice planets ? Like not being fazed by Blizzards or moving normally through deep snow ? No, we just slapped the same boring " perks " on them like all the other armors have. Oh and we made all new rifles useless. Enjoy this Warbond! "
This game has quickly become a bad joke. I'm a level 128 and I'm struggling to find a reason to keep playing and saving up super credits if this is the content they're pushing
It would have been cool if they made it the armors don't slide on ice maps when walking on ice. I mean come on they literally have spikes on the bottom of thier boots.
@BoglinZilla same. Not level but motivation wise. What's the point? Nothing is new it is just re-skin after re-skin. The 1st 2 guns are just worse re-skins of guns I already have.
It just seems so needless to keep nerfing the guns when most of them are useless vs either bugs or bots and some both. Like are the devs mad that some people are good at the game and consistently beat helldive with little issue? The nerfs just make things more tedious, just have to wait longer to kill.
@@asabovesobelow1362yea we should have the ability to beat a Helldive it shouldn’t be impossible edit: so it’s clear I’m not saying hell dive is impossible. I do it currently with different loadouts only randoms what I’m saying is the way things are going with the nerfs it’ll come that way. I’ve got 300 hours in the game. I obviously know what I’m doing.
Revert Railgun, Eruptor, Guard Dog Rover, Quasar, and Shield back pack nerfs. Reduce the sway/drag and buff damage on the snipers. Lean heavier on the strengths of the different ARs. Make the low ammo ones hit harder and increase ammo in the weaker ones. Some of them are just kinda screwed. The Scythe has to be weaker than the laser cannon but that makes the scythe worthless currently.
@@TheGowerBoys and I hate complaining, I really do, another guy is arguing with me in another comment thread. I love the game, I've put hundreds of hours in, and a "bad" warbond would never send me away. I just want more options for bugs than the incendiary breaker. And I don't pick it because it's meta, I pick it because it's the most fun. And I understand they offered to let them cook a little longer and the community said we wanted it That said, the pummeler does seem promising for bots.
An ice gun and dry ice grenade or something like that would have been nice to go along with an armor that gives you better movement and/visibility in snow planets. I'm seeing a pattern that I was hoping was just due to the devs focusing on crash fixes. Now its starting to feel like its laziness and finding new ways to give us the same bb guns in new wrappers.
I like the light armor, helmets, ii grenade and the booster. The weapons look kinda trashy but I haven't tried them out yet. I thought for sure the hand gun would have medium armor penetration
Like this whole new warbond ! The new booster must be bugged, no noticeable change on slow down. Muscle booster is better for slow down and isn't even stated that it helps with it.
I have tried everything in the new warbond except the pistol. Every weapon is a worse version of what we already have. The Tenderizer is a Liberator with less ammo and firerate which means less dps as well as you only get 2 mags from ammo pickups. The Smg has worse damage and way worse firerate. The Plasma gun is the scorcher that takes far longer to shoot for not enough damage to change any break points. The incendiary impact seems cool, but the impact does the same thing just instant. Also it doesn't leave a hazard zone for you that the bugs just ignore. I just don't have fun with any of the guns anymore. Sorry for being a downer.
Dang. Well the hope is that ceo said yesterday they hear these concerns and hopefully they fix this stuff. Probably would hold off on getting this warbond until they keep that promise tho
@@DrPooplove "Dang. Well the hope is that ceo said yesterday they hear these concerns and hopefully they fix this stuff." Unfortunately the CEO words likely implies the opposite. Weapons have been getting buffs (sometimes insane buffs like 30% more DPS or even 50% more dps in a few cases). But the risk of backlash from nerfs likely means buffs will need to stay small to avoid overshooting. It also means weapons will need to be released in a weakened state, as they can't risk releasing an overtuned weapon and it becoming popular, as if they nerf it, there will be an uproar.
Tenderizer has more mags though, and it would be better than the Liberator if they didn't buff it but I look at like this: the buffed Liberator is a good thing for the new players who really have to pick and choose on what things they have to spend their medals on, which imo the first Warbond is still the best.
@@scottroxford5715 More mags wont last long, since the resupply of those mags is less than the liberator. You only get 5 mags instead of 6. So during a longer mission this advantage will be negated quickly.
@@scottroxford5715 Why would I want to use an item slot to offset the issues of that weapon when I could just use the other version of the weapon which is better in every single statistic other than total starting mags.
@@Waldherz Cause that's how you play the game?? You don't run into Helldive with the mindset of "my primary is the only thing that matters". Plus supply pack is a great stratagem to bring along in many instances.
Ok, here we go. Every time they have to nerf a weapon, almost everyone cries big ol tears. It's way less painful to release a crap warbond and buff weapons later on than vice versa. People were threatening to quit over erupter nerf, which was done due to, you guessed it, people complaining about shrapnel self kills. I wouldn't worry about any of this. If no one uses a gun, we all know it will be buffed. I pity AH. either way, a huge portion of this communities reaction is always tears, no matter what. They opted to get the negative part done in one piece then drip feed positive changes. You get what you get when the community is how it is. If it doesn't apply to you, then im not talking to you, but the rest...you know who you are
The Tenderizer does have the most ammo out of the assault rifles. The slower fire rate isn't always a bad thing, easier to not overkill. Used to using the Liberator Pen, so the small mags size isn't an issue. Haven't unlocked the warbond yet, but the Tenderizer doesn't sound bad. Would pick it over the Liberator.
I was looking forward to the tenderizer but after this video the new smg looks awesome. Also liking the incinerator impact grenade. Not too excited about the armor but the orange/blue scheme looks dope
Someone in the subreddit pointed out that tenderizer's recoil turns it to a marksman rifle-ish weapon, capable of utilizing burst fire very well. They also mentioned it has better bullet drop off and other long ranged stuff. May be worth a look for that.
The SMG is the best assault weapon. You can stay mobile, so run around and hip fire it. It does a bit of stagger so enemies cannot keep up. As yourself, how much damage do the rifles do while moving fast? Zero. Yes, it is only for a moment , but you do have to stop to fire them. This thing? Run backwards or sideways and simply hip fire. If the aggro is on your team, move in, grenade, switch to smg - fire the whole clip! Switch to Senator revolver for harder targets. The bugs cannot do anything to you. Even stalkers have a hard time keeping up if your speed is 100. They have to stop next to you to attack. You don't. Senstor is also one handed btw.
The First assault rifle in my opinion needs more capacity. I use it against the smaller and regular warriors but for Medium bugs and Commander it struggles. I would rather use Liberator or Judicator at that point.
The Tenderizer should have some extra weak point damage compared to the other assault rifles. For example a brood commander charges at you and while firing at it, the brood commanders head and legs get knocked off faster. Obviously this needs to scale with enemy size/power but if done right it should make this AR viable compared to the liberator
- "Come spend your supercredit on a not free liberator, a concussive defender and a not so good scorcher to spread democracy and- wait...that's it?" - "Yep." - "Man that's really bad...well...the armor looks cool tho." - "With the same perks as usual" - "Man..."
I was curious to see what other people thought, and it seems like Dr. Pooplove has the same initial impression that I do. I've tried the first two weapons and I don't think that they're "bad" so much as they're just "Meh". On both weapons I had the same thought occur to me "they don't have enough ammo". Honestly, I can't see any reason to take them into a mission other than to see what they feel like. After that, they're completely forgettable. At least the grenade feels good.
I was really looking forward to the deagle inspired pistol as another medium armor pen sidearm but now I doubt the utility of it compared to the redeemer and the senator.
Managed to try out the 1st assault rifle. I'm not too impressed with it but I could see a Newer player making use of it. Less recoil makes it more accurate but when I eliminate the little bugs and smaller warrior bugs I already have to reload and have to worry about medium bugs too. Gonna be a while for me to try out the new pistol since I gotta her more medals again but got to work for a few days. you all will have it by the time I play on my weekend.
@TheVocalTune lol not me, I had finally saved enough super credits to get the last warbond and I spent all my medals. The next day they nerfed the eruptor I'm not falling for this shit again lol
@RustyCannons yeah a legit poop weapon. It barely has an aoe now, it takes up to 3 or more shots to kill spewers and commanders, it has less mags and the shrapnel effect is gone. This thing is now just the dominator but worse in every way
They just don't seem to want any niche primary weapons. The amount of buffs most support weapons have gotten dwarfs the primarys. It seems that if any primary has a trait the makes it stand out, they smash it back down to the less niche guns. I fail to see why a skilled shot/getting lucky or finding a niche for a gun requires it be beaten into line with less unique playstyles.
My biggest complaints with this warbond so far is: no new traits....again, SMG seems like it's just a worse version of the defender....even slower rate of fire? oof, and also why is the "Winter" armor more of a tan/sandy color than a white? (It's especially funny because one of the descriptions literally says that after testing for 136 different designs, they decided White was the best color for snow blending)
The cold plants create a zone that will constantly slow those within it, so you won’t see any difference. It did look like the Hunters slow was weaken by a bit, maybe 25%? Their slow isn’t strong. Get hit by a spewer for a better slow effect.
The issue with giving the Tenderizer medium armor pen is then it's literally just a straight upgrade to the Liberator Penetrator. They'd basically need to completely rebalance the entire assault rifle category in order for it to match its own in-game description.
5:11 actual nerf bullets bro jeez… for this weapon to be called the tenderizer I would expect slow firing hard hitting bullets giving the fact that it’s an assault rifle. guess the smgs will just reign supreme for the time being.
Funny enough, I'm a stock liberator enjoyer. My issue was the amount of magazines given. So i was happy that they gave us 10 mags for this starship troopers looking rifle. BUT, it's whack how it doesn't restock the full reserve ammo amount or enough per ammo box pickup. It's whack, it's like it refills the amount % based on the stock liberator. Also the wrong color was given
New Warbond is trash! The Tenderizer is worse than assault rifle we started with in the game. The Pummeler is worse than the other smg we've had since the game came out too. All these new guns are useless. They need to fire Alexus and the rest of their balancing team honestly. Watch them nerf the decent primaries in order to make these guns seem viable
@@BoglinZilla If the stagger is enough to stun rocket devastators you got a good bot smg. I was actually looking forward to a stagger SMG, I am a bit surprised that it completely out damage stats the lib concussive.
I just bought the purifier, and can confidently say that it's the worst primary weapon in the game. Very low damage and projectile detection radius is miniscule (aka if the tiny projectile does not directly connect to an enemy body part, it misses, sometimes it feels like you're shooting through enemies). On the upside, the weapon is so slow that you're never gonna be out of ammo.
I get these warbonds are free with gameplay....but they arent even worth the effort. I dont understand why the team is deadset on making wepons feel like wet noodles
No, Johan, it isn't tone deaf to release a new warbond off the tail of the Sony controversy. Your balancing team, community managers, and you yourself are what's tone deaf. Your two-faced fake personality is starting to show and your company's balancing incompetence and disdain for the playerbase are going to run you into the ground. There's a lot of us that have already given up on you and more will follow unless you *actually* handle these issues, but you won't.
This isn't pvp kid. The game is supposed to cater to a power fantasy. Not everything needs to one shot but they indirectly create a meta by these nerfs. I used to main the slugger but without stagger I'm forced to use the plasma punisher. I always bring the same stratagems because I need utility and can't use the others unless I play on lower levels
People keep fucking saying this, but no one has ever complained about this game being paid to win what so fucking ever. Pulling this dumbass argument out of the gutter. Especially when you can earn significant amount of credits through gameplay and it's easy to get.
Let’s be honest, they are getting very lazy with these warbonds! Slight reskins of existing weapons that function worse plus no unique armour skills is not gonna get players hyped 😮💨 and when they do add something unique like the eruptor they obliterate it with nerfs! Fire the “balance” dude already
Absolute garbage, all of it. The SMG might be ok for 1 person on the data run missions but thats about it. so you are paying 1000 sc in either real money or a lot of time for 1 gun you might use for a fraction of missions.
I was calling this warbond as crap from the initial reveal. I had no issue boycotting it for the PSN drama and still have no issue. It will not make me come back to the game.
I think I've had enough for a while. The game just isn't fun with all of the nerfs. I had high hopes for the war bond and it's just complete and utter crap. It wasn't Sony that we should have been worried about... It's the balance team who are going to kill the game. And honestly they already have in my opinion.
Their balance guy Alesux on discord ruined Hello Neighbor 2, left the sinking ship he made, learned nothing and joined arrowhead to ruin helldivers 2 too.
