I dont generally think plagues are the problem against highlander. It sucks when you are playing tentacle warrior highlander, as it relies on brann to work effectively. Other highlanders have some payoff, but i genuinely think that the bulk of the deck needs to be built to just be a good deck, with some highlander bonuses. Brann is a "build around it" card, compared to the other highlander cards which just offer value if you can play them. But this rotation has made plagues a viable deck choice for now which is great imo

Rush them down. Turn 6 is SUPER weak so you can punish. Takes a while to ramp up tendrils. But late game you just lose

I think Blizzard should change the way plagues work. They shouldn't just completely disable all highlander cards like that. The fact that with Helya, the plagues are permanent is fun for the DK, but it works against an entire archetype. And with "work against" i mean the moment they play Helya, you may just concede on the spot. It makes your win condition cards completely useless. I think highlander cards should't be affected by plagues. It's just stupid...

I agree kinda but ALSO I do think there needs to be a way to counter things like Highlander so its hard to balance (but its currently very bad)

Now that you mention it, I do think nerfing plagues to not affect highlander (at least when helya is played) and while also buffing snake oil seller to shuffle more snake oils into their deck or reducing seller's cost may be viable. Seller would be more interesting as a counterplay with how snake oils would affect other decks too. I've honestly considered the 3/3 that draws a card that didn't start in your deck for counterplay, but helya just completely shuts everything down.
