Lucka van Straten a 308 winchester is 7.62 by 51 or 7.82 if you take the real diameter while the 7.62 (7.82) by 54 is a bit stronger than a 308 winchester

I am very surprised we havent seen a 30-06 in the game. But they would probably make it not viable for deer even though A TON of hunters use it for deer.

I've been hearing people complaining that it shouldn't be a class 2 and that it makes the .243 useless (which I am happy about) but why the heck would they make a underpowered gun a dlc if I am paying for something it better be good hopefully they keep the mosin as it is

Imho they should boost the .243 to give 100% quick kill on class 1animals at default range (150m) as it's just too underpowered right now, and keep the mosin as is, this way players w/o the dlc don't feel cheated and people with the dlc can enjoy the convencience of using a single rifle for class 1 to 3 animals. The .45 colt is straight useless though.

Jay Leon I agree, the .223 is legal in some states to hunt whitetail deer. And I have hunted with a .243 enough to know that they are more than capable of dropping deer on the spot very often. My point is, if you can drop a deer with a .223, why is the .243 so underpowered. Hell, even the 223 is underpowered considering you can deer hunt with and drop deer in real life.

In real life, whatever tje 7mm will do, the 270 will do also. The 45-70 should be class 4 also.

The mosin is fine and dandy and the 9.3 holds a decent niche in Layton, but man is the .45 useless. The description says it is perfect for roe deer, but they must be basically the only thing it deals with consistently. It is abysmal even on blacktails, which should be well in it's range. Also, people put tents at their waterfowl blinds. You can just drop a gun and grab the 12ga when you get there so that you get 6 rounds of much more consistent bird shot.

I’m pretty new to the game(had it for 3 or so days) the 410 works great on coyote not sure what else it works well with because I only carried it to improve pistol rating. Just swapped my pistol for a crossbow and feel like range aside the crossbow is the best weapon in the game.. Dropped the (multiple) coyote very quickly with it.

I actually use the 6.5x55 Swede IRL for hunts and man let me tell you it's 1) gorgeous weapon with a lot of history and 2) DEADLY accurate. My dad and I custom built one together so seeing it in this game really brought tears to my eyes. If you haven't shot this cartridge and weapon IRL I highly recommend it!

I had the scope wobble but it went away when I equipped the medium magnification scope and it stopped jittering when I switched back to the high power scope.

As for the integrity on the rabbit with the 16GA. if you decrease your zeroing distance i believe it widens your pattern and therefore hits them with less pellets.

You can get it on blacktails with 20ga slugs. Gives 40% integrity.

As a rule of thumb I use when hunting in real life, the area I always put the cross hairs in is the area between the elbow, the front point of the shoulder, and the top of the shoulder. They use this in African game hunting as the "golden triangle". However more specifically, what I do and others I'm sure do as well; is aim 4-6 inches above the elbow. On most deer-like animals(similar to white tail in size at least, for larger deer it'd be different) this would be a definite double lung shot, but you would also be hitting the top of the heart. Which is where the main arteries and veins are that come to and leave the heart. I don't know how that would relate in-game, but It might be a possible test in the future. I got this from a book titled, The Perfect Shot.

my grandfather hunts whitetail with an old 03 springfield 30-06, he welded a scope to it and got it to work. he welded it to where the chamber is inbetween the two bars holding the scope. I personaly hunt with a one shot 243. hit a deer at 420 yards with so itll doo

well 410 out of a pistol. Out of a long barrel shotgun it performs much better in real life. All the shotguns in the game are terrible for range compared to real life. For instance a 1 oz 12 guage slug can go 75 yards before dropping. While a rifled slug can go up to 100 yards before dropping. At 50 or lesss a 12 guage slug can take down a moose with double loung. I do understand that the developers are trying to balance weapons but they are doing a terrible job at it and are creating misinformation for people who dont know any better.

I'm loving the 7mm too much to bother with dlc weapons. I love long shots and it doesn't disappoint. 388m vital shot is my newest record. I'm still trying for 400m but they are tricky as the animals disappear around that distance.

Flinter, one of the reasons why the scope is so far forward is because it the scope was on were u lode the gun, the spent shell can't eject

the mosin drops deer well because the mosin shoots 7.62 x 54R witch is not much bigger the 308 ( 7.62x 51)

Test softpoints with the drilling rifle! They destroyed bigger game like elk in my testing. They did better than polymers. They must have buffed soft points I think.

2 questions. When duck hunting, do they float towards you or the nearest shoreline? 2nd: Would you say that the 7.62 × 54r is better or as good as the 7mm, and if not how does it compare?

You won't be sorry! I have a 1943 Mosin 91/30 on which I did a restoration job and I managed to get her looking really beautiful, just like it must have looked when it came off the assembly line. It was fun to work on and a real blast/kick to shoot.

9mm 99% of the time refers to the 9x19 Parabellum cartridge, a common pistol caliber. It'd be better if you call it the 9.3, much less confusion that way.

The fact you can not get a double lung with the .243 at 175+ yards perfectly broadside but you can get a double lung at 300+ yards with that gun and still maintain 100% integrity and utter bullshit. Glad to see you did not point that out.

Key point here is that the .243 came with the game, the 7.62 you had to buy separate. It's smart as a business to create content worth purchasing. Why not use the gun and enjoy it?
