I've been trying to do Lucky + Artificer using screwdriver, its so freaking rough. If you want a challenge, give it a go

I feel like Sad Tomato is just an S-tier auto buy item. If you have no healing at all whatsoever than you just need to consider if you can survive the wave or not which was already a consideration you were making because you already have no healing. If you have some healing then you just need to consider if you can survive the time it takes to get your health back up (you probably have the time) If you have a good amount of healing this item effectively has no downside because you will have healed to full by the time you get hit anyways.

I’ve been trying this combo using Laser Gun and it’s really rough. Buying ranged to negate the -10 ranged damage eats a lot of your early game economy and prevents you from buying defensive stats. Very glass canon. I feel like if you can get over the initial hill it would come online and be crazy, but wave 10 is my current record.

Jack-Jack breaks the game, doesn’t it.

I know you avoided the Bait on this build. Maybe do a Jack/Fisherman GMO build? It should, in theory, allow you to take move Baits and deal with less special enemies due to Jack's enemy reduction.

I know the piggy bank is anathema in your world. Pitchfork and piggy bank would have been interesting though. Compounding money with compounding damage scaling. It would have been different than you typically play.
