I used to wear Wet 'N Wild when I was in middle school in the 80s. It was so cheap and terrible quality back then, but it was all I could afford. I'm so glad they make better quality stuff now!
Wow, I think if I had lived back then, I would just not wear any makeup if drugstore was that bad lol. Or just save every penny for better stuff. I'm glad things are better now makeup wise.
The G Family It's cool to me that they've gotten so much better. I'm not that old (I'm quite young... I'm 20) but I remember when it wasn't fabulous. Now, though, it's some of the best makeup I have in my collection! I love so many wetnwild products.
Makeup in general has come a long way since then. Especially drugstore makeup. I love how much wnw has stepped up without ridiculously raising their prices!
Same. Wet n Wild was crap in the 80s aND 90s. I was shocked it became a cult brand but then I tried the comfort zone palette and I became a believer. This is not Wet n Wild of yesteryear!
Drugstore was NEVER that bad. The people who say "drugstore has come a long way " don't really know what the hell they are talking about and are just repeating gibberish. Yes WET N WILD has come a long way but drugstore has ALWAYS had its good stuff. From Revlon to Max Factor to Loreal and way back when Jane was a decent brand. I would hold any of it that I had in the 90s to any Sephora stuff I have now. It's just people follow glitz and hype and think they are getting something special bc it comes from Sephora or Ulta but in a lot of cases you are paying for a name and packaging. You wouldn't wear makeup back then? How old are you? 12? What a way to prove your ignorance lmao. I'd give anything for Revlon to have the limited edition they once did. It was not poor quality and it holds up to my mid end makeup. Problem is once the person who is the creative director now took over, she ruined the brand and you see far less innovation or creativity as it once had!
Haha! Well, the good news is now I can film with my studio door open as Jett spends working hours with one of our neighbors (and I don't have to worry about him crawling in!) so I'm sure she will be making more appearances!

Doesn't surprise me that the mattes are great, because creme brulee is my favorite blending shade!! Love these palettes!!! I have to try the warm neutrals!!! Loved that look!!!
I still have my very 1st W&W Comfort Zone palette which is probably somewhere around 10+ yrs old, it’s WELL loved & I’ll never throw it away for sentimental reasons - I no longer use it but I’ll definitely be getting my hands on these new ones to try. I love wet n wild shadows.
Allyson Sixx Costello I have some eyeshadow palettes right now that are about 3 years old and while still gorgeous, I'm wondering if they are safe to use. I guess I give them a try and then see if my eyes react. Those Wet and Wild palettes are super cute!
lockergr Eyeshadows do have expiration dates & that has to do with preservatives etc. But most people use their shadows past their expiration dates without any problems, but they do so at their own discretion. I personally have never had any problems using shadows past their expiration dates, & I feel like as long as there isn’t anything that appears to have effected the integrity of the eyeshadow like making sure they don’t look or smell “off” they should be okay for use. If you want to check before use on the eye, try swatching on more sensitive skin like your inner arm or wrist.
My frugal Friday tip for you! Did you ran out of Nyx’ Micro Brow Pencil? Screw the pencil all the way down, then gently break the tip (the part which screws the product). You’ll find that there is actually almost a centimeter of the product left inside. If you have a soft hand, it can be used up. Sometimes curiosity pays of 😀!
These got me so excited; wet n wild is my favorite brand at the drugstore nowadays, which is surprising considering how terrible it was when I was in middle school in the mid-2000s. Also, Tilly is so gorgeous! Hearing her purrs was too precious.
Valeri Oliva i couldnt make up my mind so i bought all 4 of the 10 shadow pallettes. I watched a pr package review before they launched. I have nude awakening right now and its amazing im just waiting on the other 3.
Whatever it is, it's beautiful and the colors aren't ones that you find everywhere, like you do with the rose tone palettes. Every brand has made a rose palette. The basic peach I use all the time. Great quality and under $5!
Walgreens had buy one get one half off wet and wild. I didn't get this one because I thought 13 items in my cart including the pro brushes , you know the ones that are basically Kylie Jenner's ones but with pink metallic handles and not $300! I thought 13 items was much and I didn't get this and now kicking myself.

Melissa Whitt our kitties hair was shinier and healthier when we were feeding him science diet sensitive stomach. it was noticably btr when he was on that. unfortunatly science diet is getting phaised out here so we had to switch to a dif brand. now his hair is just normal cat hair. not godly like it was before hahaha
Food quality truly can make a significant difference. It doesn’t have to be a particular brand but the least expensive - & commonly used - brands just aren’t a good option for any animal. Of course most of us aren’t able to make a hand prepared raw food diet for our four legged friends, & It’s not necessary to get the most expensive brand, but a number of the more mid range options are infinitely better for any animal’s health - including their skin & fur - than the least expensive options most prevalent in grocery stores. In addition to being much healthier, in many cases the cost ends up being only minimally more b/c better quality food isn’t so full of fillers and thus not as much is needed. When I adopted Pepper, one of my current kitties, she was largely healthy but had chronic mild dandruff/ flaky skin all over, which is what initially prompted me to look into the wide ranging nutritional differences between different food options. Within a few months of switching her to better quality food her dandruff/ skin issues were all but gone & years later hee slightly-longer-than-short-haired mostly black coat (w/ white tuxedo) is shiny & soft in a way that simply exudes health. It can take a bit of initial time/ effort to do the research as there is a lot of sponsored “info” from manufacturers to weed out - & similar to physicians’ lack of training in nutrition, most veterinarians have minimal knowledge of nutrition outside of specific medical situations - but having a better understanding re/ what you are - and are not - feeding your animal(s) enables you to make better choices for them & can thus go a long way toward giving them the healthiest life they can possibly have & is very much worth it.
With cats, a few of the things that their overall health will reflect in is in the condition of their eyes, mouth, skin & fur (& sometimes their age will reflect in the condition of their fur too). Tilly looks like she’s an overall healthy kitty, but first & foremost is their diet. If they have a healthy diet, it will always reflect in their fur & skin being shiny & healthy looking. When u think about it, this is actually no different than humans really. Btw, I believe Tilly is a relatively young cat too, & if she is, her youth would also show health within the above mentioned areas of her body.
Yes I would love to hear this too and what brushes are best for absolute beginners. I tend to not like those big blending brushes and so I was hoping to find some smaller ones so I don't screw up the looks I attempt.

This is a very informative video and why go spend 50 or $60 on high-end pallets when these seem to do the same thing? Would you ever consider doing a makeup look for the woman over 50 and what eye looks are appropriate for that age range?
R, hey! ❤ Having recently gotten interested in makeup myself (50 will do that to you, lol), I've come to the conclusion that technique is everything. We are limited only by our skill set and personal tastes, so just go for whatever you like and practice, practice, practice! 💄💄💄💄

MR I used to wear Chanel. $60 for four eyeshadows. 60 bucks only gets you a quad palette! And I swear it is not as good as the wet and wild that I started buying after watching these videos. Oh my God they milked me for thousands of dollars . Granted I looked a lot more sophisticated pulling out those black compacts with the interlocking C's but that was not worth thousands of dollars!

I used to wear Wet N Wild eyeshadows back in middle school (1988-1991ish) and it was horrible. I was always embarrassed when my friends would come over and want to go through my makeup, so I started hiding it. Now, however, I am proud to say that I'm wearing Wet N Wild eyeshadows when asked by friends (& strangers). They've come a long way and I even prefer them to a lot of my high end shadows! I'm not certain, but I feel like Not a Basic Peach looks a bit like Natasha Denona's two holiday (5 pan) eyeshadow pallettes that came out this year? They're not nearly as exact as the Rose one is to MR, but they're seem to be the same basic idea. Also just wanted to say how much I am LOVING all your vids for December this year!!
When Tilly started picking at the garland it reminded me of my dog Cody. Every Christmas he would try to eat the fake cranberries on the decorations😂 it's my first Christmas since 2006 without him :/

These palettes are so beautiful and affordable! After watching this, I dug out a WNW gift set that was given to me last Christmas. I never tried it bc I thought they wouldn't be as pigmented as high ends, but lucky for me, it was the Comfort Zone palette! I swatched it, and omg, I was so impressed! I can't wait to try it out on my eyes now! Thank you so much for putting these videos out. They're filled with intel, affordable products, and easy to follow tutorials! I would like to suggest in the future a video featuring violet and mustard yellow colors as I find them very hard to find. Again, thank you!
No matter what palettes or shadows I buy or how expensive they are, I find myself coming right back to my wet and wild eyeshadows ! Not every single palette or shadow is perfect but it's rare to get that dude. I don't think they get enough credit .
I feel like Wet n' Wild messed up on the quads. I love some of their classic small palettes (trios) but some of these quads are too neutral...snoozers. they went from not having a transition shade when needed, to 50% of a palette being transitions! Just first thoughts.
Tilly is just gorgeous and I have to say, I think that might be the most genius 'reformulation' or relaunch a company has ever done. Just adding a matte transition has made that entire collection relevant again. I looove Walking on Eggshells but it's always bothered me that I had to add a color from another palette to make a complete look, with my hooded lids I can't really wear shimmery shades in my crease. Definitely gonna pick the new one up.

I have lights out and it doesn't muddy on me whatsoever! I actually picked it up because I am thinking about buying the new TF Double Indemnity palette and it is very similar!
