The F80 M3 Got NEW Wheels! It has been three years since i've owned the f80 and I finally found the wheels I liked at a price I was okay with! Let me know what you think in the comments below! :)

UPDATE: Apex contacted me after seeing the video and wanted to make things right. They gave me the option to warranty out the blemished wheel or give me a discount on the bad wheel since I already had the tires mounted. Honestly impressed with their customer service and it seems like the company is ran by enthusiasts who actually care. I did not even contact them or post about the issues anywhere else. Respect. We are taking the F80 to MPact in August! Hope to see a lot of you there! Comment down below if you are going!

the "bubbles" are not IN the metal itself (not a defect of the casting), its a defect of the applied clearcoat, this is called "solvent pop". This happens when clear is applied too heavily or over top a previous coating that hasn't completely cured.

Nice Video! I have F80 mineral white and I'm planing to get VS-5RS but I can't decide between Satin Black or Brushed Clear ones. Could someone please share your opinion why would you choose Satin Black or Brushed Clear? Appreciated

Just ordered a set for my avus blue 18 comp f80. Exact same size (brushed clear 19x11 et44 & 19x10 et25). Kinda worried about fitment in the front, gets pretty close to rubbing the spring perch, are you running coilovers, negative camber? What is your suspension setup?

The wheel finish looks🔥🔥!!! I did my first Gang-up Apex Group Buy last fall and love the wheels I got for my e46 M3. Their warranty replacement is really great too! I know you already mounted them, etc. but I bet if you contacted them about the blemishes you noted and work with you to make it right.n

Great choice guys! Looks amazing - offset & tire size is perfect! Surprisingly, the VS-5RS looks similar to the FI-R.

Thanks Rich and they are very similar. The main differences are the hub design and the Fi-R have actual holes in the spokes.

Man, the F80 is looking sweet with those wheels, I would have went with a two tone "Gun Metal Grey" with silver outer rim. Also the money you spent on them I would have sent them back with the blemishes that you found, but as long as you're happy with them, that's the main thing. Heck I would even put them on my F31...Really like the rear shadow line lights on your F80. Again a very formative video.

Thanks man! I might play around with the color once I’m ready for a change. They will be gunmetal color in no time with the brake dust 😂. Honestly I’m not too worried about the damage since now I won’t be as worried about getting them dirty or be stressed when tires are being mounted lol

When the F80 came out I definitely preferred it over the F82 as well as the E90/E92. Still love the e46 m3 more lol. But the G80/G82 only look decent in black when the front grills blend in 😂

Wow! Those wheels make Alpina wheels look like a bargain (real ones are around $1,500 EACH). BBS are OEM for my E32. Put wheel locks on those. There have been some news articles on the recent rash of high end wheel thefts in urban areas. Look it up. Don't be the guy to find your car on cinder blocks minus your expensive wheels. Get wheel insurance - most car insurance companies don't cover high end wheels esp if they are non OEM or aftermarket. Alpinas have some protection courtesy of keyed wheel center covers and a stemless air system (valve stem relocated to the wheel hub).

Haha I love Alpina wheels, and BBS has a lot of OEM wheel options for various manufacturers, which is why I am a big fan of BBS wheels. Many of BMWs great wheel designs have been made by BBS. Definitely going to put on some wheel locks!

They’re cast wheels, not forged??? 👀😳 if so just understand you may wind up paying more than the upfront cost after you deal with cracked wheels etc…just do some research on Apex or cast wheels in general and problems like “apex cracked wheel” or “cast wheel problems”. If you already know what you’re getting into just ignore this Edit: I guess if they’re intended to be “beater” wheels for track use it’s not a problem,

Bro you use a impact driver on wheels all the time ??? I guess you can actually get away with that as long as you don’t need to use them on heavier vehicles, I’d get tired of all that hammering real quick though…
