i literally fleched across bot right to bot left and almost exploded played just off point and died seconds later to the swarm of red on point lmao. Was already to late for the numbers they had compred to us.
by the way, siege is super strong at level 30, early wars at low levels use siege instead of horns, cannons were spawn camping people so we had to respawn at warcamp. Of course it only takes 1 day to get above 30 no clue if siege will be used at all oct 15, but super strong if you do war low level.
Damn, this shows how awesome this game can be. As a former GW2 player (love that game) this looks like the evolution of combat in MMOs. Lets hope AGS can make it right this time.
Sadly, wars are not comparable to WvW. They occur somewhat infrequently and can be quite exclusive. It would have been great to have a WvW (or Cyrodiil if you are from ESO) type zone, but I never see that happening.
not many pvpers showed up since it was grind to 30 and no one knew if we could get a war in time before it ended. bunch of new people or returning players on the beta, we also had a war on the other beta server, we didn't know you could get 500 gs at 30 lol
3070 i9 32gb ram...wars have always been the worst performance. 60 fps is actually really good for a war lol. probably getting more like 40 fps. Some people run what they call potato mode to help the performance but i choose not to play like that makes the game look really bad.
i tried it sometimes when super close or to make sure i landed a rain on a clump. But its very easy to dodge if there is any sort of range, slightest movement and the arrow will miss. Also it sometimes locked on to random targets that i wasnt trying to lock onto. Also having your camera locked onto a single target isn't ideal most of the time in large scale pvp i cant even look around or quickly change directions or anything like that.
