As a new player starting October 15th this game feels like a more modern MMO. I like that they don’t follow the same structure as all the other MMOs and I hope once they get cross play launched they focus on fine tuning and adding more end game content / expansions
@Dualities I'm pretty sure a new opr map is coming with aeternum or shortly after... not positive, but I think it was announced. I also really think they did a great job when they overhauled how influence and war declaration works. I used to be in a big guild that was able to take/ hold territory... not the strongest on the server but top 3ish and I never felt a lack of pvp content... especially now that they'll have cross server opr and arena. As for the genre change, it's the exact same game but they market the arpg elements because that's a super popular genre on console, and the pc community sees it as a reminder that they spent years on the re release instead of catering to them. I think this attitudinal is short sighted because this game needs lots of players to survive and even at brimstone sands fresh start it hasn't been that high compared to what is needed by a big company like Amazon to keep the game running.
@@SomeGuyFromUtah yeah. i feel like the game just needs a bit more pvp content that gives the game more replayability. also weapon system and perks... could be better
@@vexar7575 it would have been great if they could increase the max count or maybe each do a mega server like ESO by partitioning the map or something. When last I played I had been transfered 2 times due to my server shutting down.
@@projectyogisha4670 Why? The map and the numder of ressources on it is just perfect for that amount of players. Plus there isn't enough places in wars for more players... why would you want more??
@@Oryyyt up close it's op, you can 180 hatchet throw someone in the face, takes skill out of melee up close, blunderbuss is crazy with it. You can lock on and lock off to get a easy head shot. It needs to be more like Aim assist instead of Aim Lock
The enemy variety comes later in the game. 1-30 is more of an introduction so the enemies are kept on the simpler side. Thanks for your review of the beta!
Tbh New World is not a bad MMO. I have 1k hours and I had a lot of fun out of these. For 80€ (base game + expansion) I had my fill. The problem is the wasted potential of NW. If you ask any NW player they will tell you "NW is the best MMO that could've been". It's infuriating to see AGS use a diamond to wipe their ass with, hence why PC players are so jaded. I can't remember a single update that felt "polished". They are filled with bugs, lack content and/or the devs do not listen to the community and introduce/change stuff nobody asked for. AGS do not take good care of NW, and it shows. I just hope that the recent lack of content and updates is solely due to them focusing on the console release and not them trying to scam their way, and once they are done with it they'll be able to deliver cool content. I'll keep playing and supporting the game, but it's their very last shot. Except if they plan to release the game on Switch and Samsung fridges, they can't really do the same trick again.
This is a best MMO that I have played so far. A lot of people are writing negative comments, because this game is really good and they are sad to reach the end of the game. I mean most of them spent 1000+ hours on this game or a lot more. And of course after so much time it's becomes borring to play it. A specially if you have time to play a lot of hours per day. There are no game which has end game which not becomes borring after playing 1000+ hours. So regarding negative comments they are not because this game is bad, but it is sad for players to agree that they are reached a point there is theoritically end of game. Not the end-game, but END of game. But to reach this point for new players need a lot of hours. So it is worth to play for 100%. I spent for this game ~2000 hours and I will continue to play it, because it's fun, relaxing and has unlimited progression system which I like very much.
Shut the hell up. Where the f have you been for the past three years. Is it normal to release the same exact game 3 times in just 3 years? Is it awesome when 1 million players leave and now there’s only 2k players? Nah this game is pure ass
plenty of mmos out there where people have played 20+ years. New world people got tired after year 1.... not even 5 months sounds more like it I love this game but it has major flaws, also the devs did not listen to the player base forever. I hope they change and start listening to them more so
Pc players are titled coz of the constant ignorance and lies of the devs regarding PTR feedback or general feedback or updates. You are right the game is fun as long as you don't have set goals. Sound and ambient is pristine. Game falls behind any 15+ years old MMO is when you want to play endgame be pve or pvp. PvE dungeons/raids mechanics are worse and dumber than Vanilla WoW dungeons. In pvp War is the endgame that was always only a small % being able to participate it. 0 update on pvp game modes, OPR same map for 3 years, server locked arenas. The upcoming zone will be an extraction zone camp fest and Devs ignore this fact so it'll be nothing that most expect from it. With console port movement was changed that made the game feel totally different than before and not in the good way, not to mention "tab targeting".
@@bobbythorton7693 20+ years ? people playing WoW everyday since 20 years ? No, they don't - they coming back to the game for launch of DLC or some major updates, why New World would be different then? Game provides hundreds hours of fun for new player and then just move on/take a break and come back for some big update/fresh start.
@@syvanas "0 update on pvp game modes" ? Really? What about PVP influence race? OPR cross server games? Arena cross server is coming also. new pvp zone is coming. You said "extraction zone camp"? yeah man, that's how to force PVP fights. Or do you want just to take the loot and go back home safe? It is now like that in open world where guys just running with PvP mode enabled and just not fighting when seeing PvP enabled man from another faction. It's possible to fight, but they don't want to, because whey just want to grab a loot safely. Everyone just complaining about new OPR map. But devs said, they don't think a map will change something, so they are trying to add different kind of pvp content like pvp zone or maybe something more later. Devs has own vision and need to respect it, Instead just thinking they must do what players want to bring from other games. They have right to build a game as they want. That's why New world has unique techniques. And development takes time, so need just to be patient. I agree it is sad what's happening with game updates this year. But let's be optimistic. :)
I really enjoyed, what seems to be an entire story revamp. I love that they added more cutscenes. Added more lore focused cutscenes as well. I also love that from what I saw in the beta, everyone was voice acted which was cool to see, and the voice acting was not all that bad either.
As a ranged nerd with over 1500 hours pvp player tab target might be the only way to make ranged fair. Its extremely hard to balance because the average player and the fps addicted bow user who snorts ground up arrows for breakfast need to be taken into consideration. Also aimbotting has been an on and off issue at times where later it was much less of a problem but for a couple months early on aim botting was a major issue. Also tab is how darksouls does ranged combat, with freelook aiming as an option, I think people will get over it.
I had an absolute blast playing this when it first came out. The PVE got pretty stale for me and I ended up dropping off. I feel like games like this and OnceHuman are so close to being what I am looking for as a mainly Tarkov player. I especially like the idea of the PVP zones but the target lock absolutely kills it for me. Sad they had to dumb it down for consoles...
one of the few videos that actually have a good structure on the game and what's to come, i look forward to returning and playing with our new console brothers, you guys are in for a real treat, the first 300 hours are heaven, no other game does early and mid game better than NW. if you're new pick the highest populated server, yes there will be more competition for mobs and resource gathering but i promise it will pay off after leveling when you need people to group with for chest, dungeon and pvp runs. once a server starts to dip around 1200 pop the death spiral will start, and AGS wont migrate servers quickly.
Concern #3. Can sort of understand that, if you've never played the whole game, but it takes fewer than 20 hours to get to level 30 and the very next region you enter on the MSQ (Brightwood) introduces a new enemy type (angry earth). You've also got the Varangians (humans), which weren't there at launch and trust me when I tell you that they're an entirely different type of enemy to fight (you'll see why, particularly at high levels). They're introduced in Everfall but the MSQ doesn't introduce you to them there, rather side quests do (and you can see them just before you get your Azoth Staff). By the time you're max level, you'll have seen lots of different varieties of enemy. One thing you maybe haven't noticed as well is that named enemies become more complex as you get higher levels and elite versions. A brute in Brightwood isn't nearly as complex as one in Shattered mountains. And that's not including the brand new regions Brimstone Sands and Elysian Wilds, two large territories that weren't there at launch. They double down on enemy variety and give tons of wild (literally) enemies to fight. The game is literally taking you through the story and introducing enemies as you go. For the average skip-addict, I guess this isn't obvious. Corrupted and lost (and beasts) are all you need to know about initially. And, honestly, the way they get more and more complex as you level up is one of this game's strengths. Limited enemy types was a criticism you could maybe have levelled at the game at launch but it's just not the case any more. I'd be a bit disappointed if I played a game for 20 hours and had seen every variety of enemy, if I'm honest with you, so whilst I can sort of see what you're saying here, I don't understand what you expect from a game's introduction if you think it should have more variety. Shouldn't that come as you progress?
@@Lotiondemhands it's perfect for solo play. And yes I recommend it if you've never played an mmo. You can reach the end game entirely solo. There are quite a lot of things you'll need to group up with others to do but the game makes that very easy. This video does a good job of showcasing what is great about the game. It's an absolutely fantastic experience now, compared to 3 years ago.
Really appreciate this! I have 150+ hours in the OG New World and can’t say I noticed much of a difference in the feel of fighting different enemies across the regions but I will keep this in mind as I start fresh in Aeternum. Definitely not a reason to not recommend the game and I will make sure to correct my stance here if I no longer agree with this! Thank you so much for watching and sharing your thoughts :)
The enemy variety killed this game for me. Just the constant skeleton, blue people, red people, wolves, occasional bear didnt capture the MMO grand adventure feel for me.
AHAHAHAHAHAH, New World AND Starfield? What, are you a masochist or something? Or maybe you just have horrible taste in videogames. Either way that's a big NOPE from me lolol
I personally have really enjoyed it. The beta is great. From the combat, combos, upgrade strategy to owning a house and customizing it, the game is great. The environments themselves are beautifully done.
The 1-60 experience of new world has always been a great time. i played at launch, i played fresh starts, i started alt accounts etc i have a lot of hours into new world and my main concern is that once were passed that honeymoon 1-60 again is the endgame just gunna be butt again or are they actually working on making it a gripping endgame with actual engagement and regular content updates? Big reason the playerbase imploded is that, and the long stretches of no content. And with them trying to advertise it as an action rpg, not an mmo has me concerned that they are even more so now going to try an not focus more on the pvp side of things. even with the whole pvp only area i feel like with that theyre trying to push all the pvp'ers into that area like hey you want to pvp you all go over here, an stay away from our precious pve'rs who want to cut their trees an merch the trading post (which no hate, i love doing all those pve things just makin a joke) it really makes me concerned. If i see that theyre adding new opr and arena maps with better rewards, as well as better open world pvp rewards id be excited for that, as well as making sure that the endgame dungeons give proper rewards and materials. with fresh regular content updates. Those are the things i need to see long term for what i think will make the game a solid mainstay in the space. as you said though only time will tell an we will see.
Grinded New World on release to max level and realized the end game has nothing to do with the rest of the game until that point. That made all the progress done feel completely worthless. Not sure if that has changed now.
I would say you have to assume that once you hit endgame you’re done. If that sounds bad I would skip. That’s not to say endgame might not be great, I just think it’s better to assume it will be nonexistent.
Shards allow them to scale up their server player cap a lot more than at launch. This is because the server load is shared and also because they don't have to worry about regions getting filled with thousands of players, ever. This allowed my beta server (EU 4) to upscale to 4.5k cap. Which is insane given the cap at launch was 2k, and when the game reached that, it played extremely badly. Shards meant performance, across the entire experience, was better than that anyway. No lag. No issues. And, in the beta at least, not one queue. It'll be interesting to see how high they can scale the cap. But 4.5k is probably more than enough per server at launch. It did feel like they could just keep scaling it up though :D Honestly, this is the best improvement to the game of them all. And there are many. Also, even if we do see queues, they've improved that experience as well. It doesn't crash any more and you get the option to switch to another server instead of queueing. This launch should be the smoothest ever in the game's history.
Having such a hard time deciding on what my next games going to be, the D4 expansion, NW, TNL, POE2 - I'd play them all of time wasn't an issue. One concern I have about NW is their long-term vision for the game and end game content. I highly enjoyed the beta though.
I think what really sets a lot of VERY vocal ppl off, is the fact that they(the players) don't realize that a VERY small percentage of the player base only plays the game for PVP..... And when the game isn't "changed" the way they would like to see it, they hit all the forums and everywhere else that they can voice their anger. I, for one and tired of hearing the "devs suck at this and that and they never listened......." OK WE GET IT, you're upset....move on, play something else and let the poeple who like this game enjoy it..if they want to follow you, so be it, but stop trying to flame anyone who says anything positive about the game
Basic gaslighting at it's best. People can like or dislike whatever they want. And besides, if NW has a ton of angry and disenfranchised players, isnt that AGS's fault for not communicating their intentions and assuaging our worries and concerns? Your comment sounds like a bot that was deployed to help astroturf for them. *Furthermore, there's no such thing as bad press. If people are still talking about new world AT ALL its good for the game. If people still have energy to be pissed off that means they loved the game. So i think your energy is misplaced sir. Its not the people who were madly in love with the game and then got absolutely shit on by the devs fault. Its the devs fault.
This is a great example. Every single hardcore pvp player i knew was asking for more line of sight obstacles and a visual update for OPR for the longest time. A year later we got 3v3. A year after that and still no OPR update. The ONLY thing we asked for we couldnt get and its SIMPLE AND EASY TO DO. Thats why pvp players are pissed. We cant even get crumbs. Its all PVE and MSQ bullshit.
Good call! The positive spin I’m seeing here is that most comments are positive or at least fair which is great to see. Hopefully that continues-thanks for watching!
Yeah casuals ruined gaming. Everything is empty and shallow and the games aren't hard at all anymore because of it. why was Halo series good? Smart enemies, graphics for the time (only decent part of NW), combat being engaging and not braindead. This game lacks all of that important stuff. They also have NO shops for general items to be sold while they give you other class loot lmfao. So lv 1-max is a waste of looting besides for crafting material. Then those crafted items at the level aren't even needed because mobs are too braindead to hurt you until lv 30 so its pointless to craft. The whole thing is a mess with a pretty map. Scrap everything except the map. Even the voice acting is overly loud and gestures are copy paste crap. Its just bad if you actually care about your money. Amazon made indeed
very base lv playa review here.. and u also say the combat feels clunky, or has in the previous version.. dude, the combat is the best thing about NW actually.. always has been, thats what held a community of PC playas together, through all the bullshit ags pulled, and all the lack of content and bad game mangement, (and i cud go on n on).. but the best part and the most fun is the combat.. its also skilled based. the New aternum however, at least the beta, still needs some work. but im coping and hoping lol. but for all you new console playas.. it shud be a blast.. the pvp is what will get u hooked. as long as ags doesnt bugle everything, like so often in the past.. hey, who knows, maybe now with the new cross platform system, it will be great and NW finally like it should have been years ago
Sorry, to clarify, it’s more how much better/responsive the combat feels to me now. It was always very good which I think I mention in the vid. Good callout though!
FIrst time watching a video of yours. Great stuff. Just want to agree that I love New World when I get the kick for it. Low player count is tough when you want to jump in to dungeons and such... but when you can find people to play with it's really fun! I have about the same hour count as you, but 95% of that was leveling. I took my time and explored and enjoyed the world, then the difficulty jump in Brimstone Sands just turned me off, I couldn't complete quests, had no idea how to gear, etc. Came back a little while later and it was even more dead, but managed to progress and really loved the update with Rise of the Angry Earth and mounts. Playing the open beta has vastly improved the starter experience. I wish I had started for the first time in October, and I recommend anyone on the fence pick the game up in October. No one can say for sure if the game stays good past lv30, but what they have shown with Aeternum is much improved. I just hope they commit to new content. The raid sounds fun, but 1 will get boring quick, and hopefully people stick around long enough for me to catch up to end game and play the raid lol.
Thanks so much! Totally agree the experience seems significantly improved. Hoping this carries onto level 30+ and obviously more end game support would be great.
i think they should really make a free trial for the first 30 levels. So that people can dable and do the entire introduction and see for themselves if the games is something they want to invest 100-200 hours
I think this game is Goated and no game is designed to live on it and or use it as your job…. That’s the problem now days with games! No one has a real life and spends 3000+ hours on a game then calls it bad… Or read online what to say
That’s certainly my perspective! Hard to argue that a fun 100-200 hours wasn’t worth the money but obviously everyone is entitled to evaluate their own way :)
ROFL. "Enemy Variety is a concern especially in the early game." Bruh.. ya see that 1 armed white shirted zombie? You'll be fighting that EVERY day EVERY hour from 1 to endgame and beyond. Its not a "Concern" .. its a fucking PROBLEM. This was called out to them a BILLION times.. they refuse to even acknowledge the problem and ban anyone who tries to confront them about it. But the REAL fun is when you realize that the mobs all share attack patterns based on their type, not their skin. All 4 legged cats, regardless of what they are.. all attack the same way. All humanoid mobs regardless of type all attack the same way... etc etc etc. Once you memorize the attack patterns, you can literrally 360 no scope every combat and never take a hit.
But what if you have played for 3 years already and dont want to do the story? Love the pvp but no endgame content and terrible performance in large groups/towns is that a thing still?
Uh, I didn’t notice any performance drops in town but maybe I was just lucky? If you don’t want to do the story and just focus on endgame stuff, I don’t think there’s enough info to say for certain whether you should buy. I think your best bet is to wait for the launch to see what others are saying about endgame!
If you’re from Asia, don’t buy this bcos it’s laggy server from Australia, PVP content is useless if you fighting with AU / NZ players, since the launch many asian players hop in the game but quit after 5months due to high ping, now AU server have 2 servers with average 400 to 500 players only
I'm a older player played DAOC when came out .. I had A lot of fun this weekend playing beta . I was SERKER spec and never lost to a melee great weapon build in PVP or duels tons of fast dmg
I got the base game in the summer sale and spent all day trying to get in the game. Opened the right ports, allowed it through the firewall, must have did 20 suggested fixes and I just gave up and refunded the game.
This was always a thorn in my side with the PC game but the console version has had zero issues logging in. Understand if you’ve been burned though and don’t want to try again!
I can’t speak to other people’s reasons but for me, I don’t agree with the statement that it’s the same. It is fundamentally the same game but I think the experience is vastly different from when the game launched. Not sure if that helps or not but hope it does!
Thy develope new LOTR mmorpg (which will have console gameplay access too) via New World. Probably NW will go down when new LOTR mmorpg comes... For old players, the game is the same game without anything new. New PVP zone is very empty with no real objective, except join raid for elite chest run in pvp flagged, rest of the biome visuals are all copy paste nothing more... Thy stil did not fix any of the real problems of the game, and still no real end game new content. The game will be lagged so hard as players are forced to do pvp at a certain area only. Thy need to add some real pvp and pve open world contents really and fix fortress siege to be available for everyone and every sized of companies...
So glad you made this comment. I quit Destiny too and wondered if I was the only one to do so. Looks like I wasn't. Looking for a game to replace it, hopefully this is it...Throne and Liberty looks promising too.
Good advice. It really is a 100-200 hour game then dump. Sad in one respect, but helpful to not get your hopes up. Really wish endgame was something sustainable without time gated activities.
As someone with over 1000hrs in oh new world all I got to say is that at least from what I seen, they have not addressed the glaring issue of lack of endgame stuff to do…dungeon wise it just looks the same…pvp is fun but you got the same ppl running it…the major companies are filled with a-holes and it’s not worth it. If invasions are still a thing I fail to see how they will be sustainable seeing as companies don’t give two shts about it and there is no longer and incentive to do them…if they add more variety of enemies like those vampires that were hunted at though might be enough to make me consider coming back…just so I can assert my dominance on invasions with minimum effort…top 10 on leaderboards without trying is depressing…
The biggest problem is the fact the end game is still poor, there are many reasons why this game failed on the PC. If you are looking for a hundred hours or so of fun go for it but dont expect a long term experience.
How do you know they will not add end game with this New "New World" ? Are you working in the devs compagny? They probably do not the same mistakes than pc version.
@@Jezza_One I am on pc too and there IS already so much better things, why just don't stay positive ? If it's like ff14 it's going to be insane, ff14 was a Real shit at the start and look now.
I'll be there for the leveling/crafting/refinement experience...it's a good time. Will hope for content and some long term additions, but not planning on it.
If you re a whiner , then no. If you re a real gamer, not just pvper or just pveer , but if you just enjoy the game then yes absofvckinlutely....the game its very much worth playing. I have 7000 hours and still enjoy it every day I log in. Mostly trading and making materials since I was lucky with Artifacts and i have my gear done in less than 3 months since launch of ROAE update. In theory there is nothing to do for me, but I log in everyday and still enjoy it!
I wasn’t sold until I pushed through the campaign in Brightwood. That’s where the game finally seemed to let go of the training wheels a bit and you had to engage more intelligently with the combat. Those first few zones do drag on a bit and the game feels like a Ubisoft title with all of the quest icons and fetch quests. This is my biggest concern that it copies too many things and doesn’t do anything original. My only choice now is to fork o we the $80 Canadian to play at release or wait until the price comes down a bit.
Been playing NW since release with over 3000 hours, and for me I love the end-game, but stopped playing before the group trials came out and never got to experience them. Now there's a full raid coming out (as it has shown on nwdb) and I feel so far behind because I can't find people to run these group trials with to even get raid-like experience. The player-base has such a huge PVP scene that when Wars and OPR get too repetitive they leave the game, thus leaving the PVE behind with it. The rapier is one of the hardest weapons to consistently hit with against another player, the lock-on changes make the rapier absolutely busted in PVP. There's clips of people pvp'ing in the beta while blindfolded, and winning just based on the sounds queues. The lock on feature has completely eliminated a core mechanic of the game.
This is interesting context! The rapier affect seems wild!! Hopefully this gets addressed in some way. I saw that AGS did acknowledge they were aware of the community complaints but well what that means!
I am not sure about raids at this point. Dungeons do though and the queuing was pretty quick during the beta! It’s also cross world so you don’t have to rely on only people in your realm :)
just dropping this here cos they kinda framed the whole beta to feel like you'll be entirely fine going solo. Although you're not forced to pvp, endgame really requires multiplayer.. the endgame zones will really hurt if you don't go in with a group, some of the open world bosses with the sought after gear require some grouping, dungeons/expeditions you can't even enter them unless you join a group, the 10 man raid and worm raid is another group only thing, even the event world bosses are things you can't beat by yourself.
i understand why pc players dont want a console player to play this game is bc how they treat us during 3 years and been a year no contents. yes it is disappointing, it is sad only one reason i kept playing until January is friends I have a great time great memories met so many amazing people on this game I have my time with this game i think it is time for me to move on, just hope one day they can make New World great again. i still recommend ppl who have never play the game before should play it, all i wanna say just follow your heart guys if you enjoying just play if you feel like cant enjoy anymore just stop i spent 6.5k hours on this game for 3k hours complaint about contents but still play :D i call love-hate relationship haha :D btw have fun and enjoy the journey
Im pretty excited for a fresh start of new world, was super addicted when it first launched. I need to pick up the expansion, should I just pick it up now or do you guys think it will go on sale near the launch?
Do you mean you only bought the base game? If so, I think you have to buy all of the expansions (Brimstone + Rise of the Angry Earth) on PC or there might be an Aeternum version for PC.
My question is, why after leveling to 65 and spending time and money on gear, would I want to start all over again? I played the beta and hated to have to grind again to get skill, weapon, territory, and xp up again.
200hrs wow wait till you do over a 1000hrs. Spending days chopping trees down is not fun it's boring. PVP players will always cry no matter what you do.
I don’t think I would keep playing to 1000 hours unless it was fun. But I am interested to see how many hours I get out of it before it gets boring. Time will tell!
hopefully the new players dont rage quit in pvp because of the 2000+ hour vets..you will get better over time and understanding the game better. Once you start getting all your target farmed gear and crafts, you will be tea bagging in no time.
i wouldn't expect console folks to go against pc users in their server right away yall might be waiting a while we all sticking in our console server for a while
I have over 1000 hours on pc and its a grind fest for sure, you have to grind all your life skills to 250, grind your gear to 700 gear score, you have dungeons that go up from tier 1 to tier 10 and much more.
Might jump back in and check it out! I also loved doing the gathering/crafting, it was really fun! if you enjoy that you might want to check out Palia-free to play MMO, no combat but lots of gathering/crafting and lovely vibes/sounds! Cheers!
Great video and I concur; I’ve played 3 betas (closed and open) for PC and now the closed and open betas for PS. I have to say, the new introductory experience is head and shoulders over what it used to be. I am confused by the lack of clear messaging though on the game purchase itself. I was under the impression that NW:A was just the console port and OG NW was on PC but there’d still be cross-play / progression happening for both? If I am wrong, I wont be (re)buying what is essentially an updated version of the same game just 3 years after the original, a game in which I had lots of Amazon Prime Loot drops collected. I spent like $70 bucks of the higher tier edition. But that’s all just a waste now?
Thanks! So it is the console port but PC will also be getting this same update so there will be parity everywhere. No cross progression but there will be cross play on some servers! So if you are invested in your PC account, you can stick with that and still play Aeternum on PC!
accept the fact we had 0 pvp cotnent in 3 years. 3 years waiting for new outpost rush map. how can u possibly even say that when the game wasn't even doing well or last 2 years
I’m just looking forward to being able to play an mmo, games like elder scrolls or Star Wars the old republic would’ve interested me if they weren’t both so old and require a subscription to really play
If you can auto lock on enemies, isn’t that pretty close to tab target? You just have to hit your ability and you’ll land it if you’re in range. Genuinely asking and curious about your perspective on that!
@@beepbooploot no not at all. In tab-target, it's easy to select your target, and it has 100% hit chance, minus RNG miss chance. Here, if they are moving, theres a chance you will still miss with aim lock. They can still dodge your attacks as well. It's completely different from Tab-target, not even in the same arena
@@beepbooploot Tab-target uses Dungeon and Dragon style "roll of the dice" chance for hitting your target. Their movement does not influence your ability to hit them in Tab-target.
@@beepbooploot no, if they are moving it might miss, and they can still easily dodge you as well. Tab-target relies on RNG to miss, not player movement
Like spaming a rifle shot over and over again on a low level enemy at 2:08 and in PvP. Or "the lack of enemy typ" or the cutscenes are great or "I played og NW but i stoped cause i didnt find ppl to do dungeons with" Back in "og NW" you had to have a static to do dungeons smooth and properly cause they were actualy hard not this shitshow. He googled his info and puts a random new world vid on youtube, he doesnt have new world content at all on his channel either. Not to mention that rifle sucks as in dungeons. Hes on my ignore dont need another gaming content creator that does second hand info vids.
Hey! I have 150+ hours in New World not the beta. I have been playing since the day it launched so wanted to qualify that. Apologies if the video title was confusing!
Hey! I’m sorry that you didn’t like the vid. I definitely didn’t google/secondhand anything though. I’ve been playing New World since the OG beta and am a casual player so not very good at it lol. Understand if you disagree with me though, all the best!
@@0guitargod I appreciate your opinion and will keep this in mind! I don’t think it’s misleading to say I have played the core game extensively (the title specifies I am a 150+ hour player and these are my Beta Impressions) but I don’t want to mislead so if this is a common complaint I will definitely look to improve and action that feedback!
So you can play solo which is how I always play games. But is it offline solo? Always online games tend to disappear if they're not popular which if the game is free is not a problem but if you pay $60 , you want it around for a long time.
@@Hellfire666 that’s a good point! It’s always online at this point and likely will stay that way (I think). The original game has been around for 3 years and has the backing of Amazon so I do think it should be around for a bit but obviously no guarantees on that so best to skip if that’s a concern.
@@MegaDj10000It is a mere shadow of ESO the only advantage is its much much harder to play solo due to the fact even normal mobs in the highest level areas can kill you.
@@Jezza_One that and it isn't pay to win to much shit u can buy in eso dont ever hear anyone talking about this mmo every other one u have to be a whale to be ahead of others
@@beepbooploot just google youtube volume get the right lufs. idk which software you use but it should show you the lufs, which is the loudness unit youtube uses. it should be around -14, yours is -18 lower, meaning -32. You see this by right clicking on the video screen, and then stats for nerds. But I bet you have a preview when you upload a video by the RU-vid thingie.
so I've asked a few youtubers if i should get it for solo play i like pve mainly i hope I'm not forced to go pvp route i feel end game is to groups/pvp do u recommend for me ?
You can definetly play solo and in fact I would suggest it. The thing is though is the dungeons all need to be played with 5 players other than the solo trials. The dungeons are very fun and the pve in the open world is also quite enjoyable. Not something that would matter to you but I’m a hardcore pvp bow/vg player and the lock on literally makes me not want to play.
you're not forced to pvp but endgame really requires multiplayer.. the endgame zones will really hurt if you don't go in with a group, some of the open world bosses with the sought after gear require some grouping, dungeons/expeditions you cant even enter them unless you join a group, the 10 man raid and worm raid is another group only thing, even the event world bosses are things you can't beat by yourself
it's okay for pve, I like other games for long term pve. New world is better for pvp endgame pve endgame will get boring after couple hundred hours other games will give you thousands and thousands. Pve is there but not what makes this game shine.
@@Lotiondemhands with all these other comments saying that you need a group, you do. But you aren’t required to coordinate or talk to them for pretty much any of the pve content eapecially now that there’s lock on except for the large raids and
I have basically only played solo since day one and had a blast! If you are okay with only 100-200 hours of play and maybe that’s all then I say go for it.
I have over 1000 hours in new world. There is nothing new in the beta. Its literally the same game with more forced linear play. Its bullshit, gamers should not support this behaviror from game devs. Disgusting.
AGS has done a horrible job with NW partly, the managing and consept, or better said the marketing, has been horrible recent.. NW is a MMO game! it has however been adjusted to give solo players a path and a good time as well. you can now play the msq solo. it however still is an mmo, with group content and activities, pvp, etc.. the ato cross server doungeon finders have also made it much easier and faster to get group queus, for dungeons n trials etc.. opr is also cross server.. u shouldnt have an issue finding groups to do stuff.. its a full world mmo!
