The debate is finished! Femke Bol is no matched against Sydney! 50.36... FB just got Bronze... So stop comparing Sydney with Femke!
@rientsdijkstra4266
@rientsdijkstra4266 Месяц назад
Why are you Americans so anxious to stop the comparing. The bronze was a fluke because Femke went of to hard. Normally she would have gotten an easy silver.

@@rientsdijkstra4266Why are you so invested in arguing with the americans? As much as i love FB, she needs to not be intimidated with Sydney first so she can be more relaxed and maybe she can match her in the said event. I am not american.

@@ewol6519 "Intimidated"? Simple fact is that A.) Femke had just run a fabulous 47.93 anchor leg a few days before, while mcLaughlin was resting (with a reason...) B.) Femke was just not far enough in her development trajectory. She has been consistently been coming closer to McLaughlin over the last two years, and even though McLaughlin rewidened the gap a bit to now .58 seconds, I think that Femke will keep growing and eventually pull up to the same level as mcLaughlin. Once that happens and Femke starts running the same times as McLaughlin, that "intimidation" (if there is any...) will disappear automatically. So in the end it is all about attaining the necessary level and making the right choices...

@@rientsdijkstra4266 just so you know, femke was asked if the mixed relays and other event she joined did affect her performance in her main event and said that it did not.

@@ewol6519 Yes I know that. The question is whether that was a diplomatic answer (not wanting to implicit co-blame her teammates...) or that it was really true. I think it is very hard not to feel the effects such a race for some time (+ all the hollabaloo with the press, short nights of sleep, etc. There is a reason why mcLaughlin did not want to participate!)

Not sure FB had a world leading time. Sydney ran a 50.65 at the trails.

She did for a nano second...it was around 52.35 or something in that area. Of course, until Sydney blew it away at the trials.

I don’t want to hear any more about Femke Bol. SML destroyed the field and is the GOAT! Period.
