I believe the "future" of this game is as an ultra casual game that you can login to and do the occasional dungeon, 3v3 or OPR. They're never going to have a real end game loop that draws masses. Even their 10m content is something they've said is designed to be completed in under 15 minutes. So again. Ultra casual MMO. Maybe that's fills a niche but it's such a disappointment considering the potential this game has. Just my 2 cents.
the nw community keeps coping about QoL being "content", because they have to believe that the devs are doing something, when in reality they aren't doing anything.
@@SymphonyX24 It's part of the reported problems. They do a lot, they don't have the revenue to pay more people to release more content. So they actually do a lot of things, YOUR problem may be a less reported one, so they don't working on it yet. That's it. But the game will be gone soon. I played it since launch and I recently stopped. The game is way too easy for in every single term. Too easy to get gear, too easy to achieve anything, pvp is waaay too easy. It's just a game that I found easy during launch, they changed it because the feedback from the majority said it is hard.. They made it easy. Now you open a chest, do an opr, take out an open world boss and you get bis item.. What they release is also good but because of the pace of the game, because of how easy it is, you walk thorugh it in no time and you are left with "no content". A new area should be about challange. An elite area should never ever be soloable. Right now I can take out literally anything alone. It's a joke how easy it is.. The next expension should arrive much sooner then Sept. and it should be much harder. There's literally no point to release an other brimstone sands if you walk through the whole place in a day.. And it's not even their fault. The players asked for it. But these players thought that they can have it every month or every third month. But that's not how fast they can create a place like brimstone with that team..
If the understanding of "content" were not objective, we would not even be talking about it or referring to it itself, everything that is said has an objective sign or meaning behind any subjectivity
My friend over at AGS told me that their strategy for new world is following: they will focus on expansions (income injection for the game) they only have 20 ppl working on the live game. The rest of the staff works with the new expansion + console version atm. They have no focus working on the content in between. Only release minor content. To give the active players the feeling that the content is still alive. (They just recycle old coded content).
Just to clarify, they announced the Rise of the Angry Earth on August 30, with a scheduled release of Oct 3. That's 5 weeks. So it is totally plausible that they announce some major update in May and release it in June. Or that they announce in April and release in May.
Honestly if they expect ppl to pay yearly they should lower the expansion price and roll the previous expansion content/features into the base game and remove the old expansions for purchase as they go. I doubt that they will do anorher brimstone-like experoence for free again. They have to do something though.
I'm unsure if I'll be interested in purchasing another expansion if it the amount of content included in the expansion is what we've had since this last expansion.
The gold cost for just getting a 3rd perk is crazy! I’d be nice if you could get item upgrades via playing the game and not farming bananas. I hate the gold grind in this game.
One thing I know for certain is I’m not buying another xpac for this game. I gave them the benefit of the doubt with this last one and it wasn’t worth my money or time. I’m literally doing the same thing I did before the expansion just at a higher gears core now.

Can you imagine that in new world? 🤣 you would need NASA gaming pc to get somewhat decent fps (probably 30 at best on lowest runescape graphics via nvdia profile inspector) Thats another reason why teleporting people out during influence wars is a thing i guess, just to prevent your cpu from catching on fire.
Of course fixing the elemental split damage bug will make ranged weapons weaker. THAT'S THE POINT. The developers meant to scale those weapons damage downwards in PVP which is why they introduced PVP scaling in the first place. If they fix the bug, they will just reduce the damage to what they intended in the first place.
Its been obvious for awhile that AGS has put New World on the back burner and put alot of their staff on the lord of the rings MMO. The "expansion" was the thing they werw working on and now its a barren wasteland.
i think they iave a rather small team working on the game at the moment. that would explain both the little new content in general and the amount of bugs in releases.
Thing is that there is a difference between log in to make your daily cd in game and to log in and literally grind the new world or farm the game. For me newworld isnt fun game, short to speak forget about the problems game, that aint newworld. I find streamers who force new world to the public being fake. Im glad @jayoddity stays honest and trustworthy, shame is that the rest of the mmo family isnt like @jay.
Do you think they really even care that since the expansion was released the MSQ has been broken for many players? Makes it impossible to get the final both staff and more importantly NO HEARTRUNE ACCESS at all. Ruining the game.
New world is just always a day late and a dollar short. Maybe they are working on some fun stuff. But the rate of implementation is just too slow. The market is getting contested again. new mmos and other similiar game competing with new worlds niche are on the horizon and in 2024 and 2025 that competition will ramp up. meanwhile ags are dragging their feet implementing 1-2 pieces of valid content per year at best. Pretty much a lost cause at this point imo.
The influence races affect open world ie territory control so must be open world but yes zergs make it no fun wait for ashes so you can get zerged all the time lol
yer the dawn set that i would need now some part of to make perfect medium but am pretty sure i salvaged them it´s just to much new named gear every wheir. And i belive mabey they gonna feel rushed to puch out new ore already talked about content earler becuse people quit ore take breaks but this is the name of the game for 3 years now and they come back close to summer. The bugs exploits we have ore had are never gonna be solved that day it´s not new world any more that´s part of their brand in my eyes am not playing much now days am bored same mobs it´s like pandora good graphic but the few npc same variety and same from lvl 1 to 65 even in the end game it´s really boring pve then it´s only pvp left but for people that have got their share like me lost it cross serv is gonna help but not with rot problem it´s still gonna be their.
@NewWorldOddity should have to register at the faction vendor and be automatically dropped in to a raid group like war roster. Once registered only can be put in raids as other factions register to keep even numbers. Just has to be. Though honestly races are stupid unstructured zerg fests. PvP needs structure
doesn't matter even if the factions are somewhat balanced as they suggest, that doesn't also mean that pvp engagements will be balanced. A balance of numbers has to show up to the engagement @@planetg2125
You have played New World about a third of your time since the game came out... Maybe take a break, go outside or try a new game until there is more stuff to do
I'm 4k hours into the game and at this point I'm closing in on finishing all my pve I could do. The game doesn't have long term replayability outside of hanging out with friends
@@LumaTr1xx I think the point is that NW is an enjoyable game but the sad truth is AGS doesn't give a shit and never has done. Realisation hits people at different times.
Is none, they have no content coming bc they said they are working on bug fixes. There's nothing to look forward to until whatever they announce in May.
The bones of NW are in place. New player experience is phenomenal. Now we just need those end game content additions to really push NW into that top tier MMO category (i.e. 20 man raids, PvP content, legendary character/mount skins, etc.). With the addition of the Cross-server GF and console release, NW is set up for some big things in 2024. Despite the pessimistic cloud over the game, I think there is still hope for the game.

Community questions were terrible. They are some of the most popular, so no fault to AGS selecting. Anyone thinking cheats are a big deal is a bad player. Get good.
@@atvkid0805 don't try to convince players who have paid for the game. If they want to play on empty servers, that's their problem. At the end of the day, I'm not the one who paid to play an MMORPG, without the MMO.
