New World's WORST Balance Update Yet - Crazy Changes 

I really hope you guys are listening to what they are saying about making changes, nerfs and tweaks to abilities and skills, etc. They look at the numbers and then adjust the numbers according to what they think the new numbers might be. They never actually mention testing them, with an actual testing team. They are using you guys as basically beta testers so they don't have to actually hire people to do the work. That's why they can never get anything balanced correctly, because they don't actually play the game enough to understand the details. They look at a spreadsheet of data and start throwing darts, while having you wait for the next round of changes as if it's new content.

Here's the scary thought; it sounds like they already had these balance changes implemented and ready for tomorrow's patch, even before Season 5 launched, which makes sense given Season 's 3-week delay. What are the odds they properly accounted for the final version of Season 5 that players received, and if the balance changes will work properly along with the hotfixes they've promised to include as well? It seems like they're setting themselves up for another buggy update because they didn't think to either consolidate the balance changes with Season 5's release, or push it back further to give the team more time to fix Season 5 first.

Are they killing the game on purpose?

They massively nerfed the 500 con playstyle. It went from tanking 8 people to not even managing one (if the other player is competent) which is forcing the flail into a more DPS role. Before a 500 Con tank could get railed on forever but did no damage. Now a 500 con build can’t take hits and does damage. I went from not able to hurt or kill anyone with the flail to suddenly being able to kill people and chase them down which makes the flail more of a DPS weapon. It’s just unfortunate that they are making PVP like a FPS. If I wanted to play overwatch… I would.

Every time I check back in on new world and hear that they're once again giving it up the arse to my bow again, I just remember why I left.

I've never wanted to see someone lose their job other than these devs. I genuinely want to see them take a financial hit for their gross management of this game. Disabling entire weapons for ridiculous amounts of time, skills, just glaring massive problems that don't get addressed in a timely manner. Talking about "data" when data can express an array of things and only really has any merit if you have the context behind that data. I can't even think of a comparable job where you could mess up so badly and cost a company so much money and yet retain your position. Fire these morons and sell the title to someone else that can handle it. If they don't the game dies indefinitely.

This game and the Devs are UTTER JOKES. No longer worth the time wasted.

In my opinion, the reason the bow is getting nerfed is because they're over analysing the damage that players are doing with it due to the rapid fire exploit. Anyone who doesn't care about getting caught using exploits is doing it, or doing endless empowering buffs with the fire staff. The only thing I'd disagree with you on is the flail, it's extremely under performing and I'm assuming it also has a very low pick rate. Healers default to the rapier for survivability and now due to spear being OP, I see healers picking that up as a melee option because the flail just isn't there yet. The flail has a niche utility purpose of buffing your team, but that's not satisfying or noticeable from the player perspective. It has low damage output and very little mobility, it needs buffs.

If anything they need to nerf Spear

Melee desync is out of control. The throwing hatchets are the best thing about the hatchet because you can’t hit any actual melee attack with it unless they are standing perfectly still. Sns and ga also have pretty bad desync too it just rubber bands you back into place.

After looking at wars this last week, for the first time since dropping this game last year. I am happy with my choices.

Such a shame. Probably one of the best games that came out of 2021 or could've been the best game of that year but the management team is so incompetent. I remember doing chest runs every night with my irl friends and new found friends in game. Doing M10 speed runs. OPRs (stat padding) and shot calling wars (short stint). I used to upload my runs in multiple builds, different combinations of gears/weapons. The lack of content, repetitive monsters types, bugs, these were too much. They had 2+ decades of source material to avoid the same problems that other MMO suffered yet the management, still managed (pun) to make the game worse than an early 2000s MMO. The game is beautiful, the music is eargasmic, the PvP mechanic is probably one of the best that I have played (outside of Dragon Nest). It could have been SO MUCH better.

The Rapier buff truly makes you think "wtf?"

well i think he said they not going to nerfed the basic damage on bow they just going to reduce the damage and time on the dot as you know bow can apply a lot stack of dot (bleed, burn, poison and the dot from gem plus if you use VG artifact/blunderbuss is another extra dot damage at the same time plus the main damage of the weapon so yeah they are focus on the dot not the basic attack from bow. i think bow is the only weapon it can apply alot dots at the same time if you hit ur target of course :p lol

Them not addressing and continuing to patch around the desync and input lag makes me think it will be around for a while…

The current team of NW dev is borderline Launch levels of performance right now. I wish I could suck at my job this hard and keep getting paid.

Brother, the only reason slash melee weapons HA/GA/GS are doing work on people is because NO ONE is gemmed against slash. You don’t need to be worried about slash weapon burst because it’s so god damn telegraphed. Yet a FS can pillar fireball dodge before any Gs ability recovers from its animation frame.

Musket trap side needed that change so bad. I was hoping they'd do more a more drastic rework to trapper skills.

Still think tuning orbs need to be removed from the game

I think you're having a knee jerk reaction to the words buff/nerf. The things that they are "tweaking" are fine. It's very minor things. Like flare is only on heavy attacks, not light, and it's still going to be 20% less damage than normal heavies. People with good aim don't use flare. But maybe it will be slightly more viable to some roles in war. and flail was like the empower buff you get some an ability is slightly more, that wont even be noticeable.

They are making the musket aim sway when you look around ..umm not a thing. I lowkey suspect that will fix the shooting off to the side thing.

This balance of power video was 100x better than the previous balance of power video, I think they did a pretty decent job of explaining the changes they are currently going to implement for balance, I think there could of been nerfs for FS and a little more nerfs for spear imo but I can understand after the update tonight and when they fix the FS bugs they “think the game will be more balanced”

new world release, some time late covid era, amazon didnt expected so many players interested in new MMO. It happened otherwise. Log in queue 3k players from what i remember. All eyes on the AGS.👀👀👀👀👀. When Amazon did get so much press, so it started nerfs, balance changes, buffs, crazy things. To me i sound like one of Alexs Jones conspiracy theories but more Amazon gets popular then more it wants to silence the community, player base so on, so on. Honest content @Jay i love you.

Dont feel bad, even if u land every auto/ability with a anti heal build on a "good healer" he wont die if you are hitting him on a 1v1

Crap, my last comment got wiped out right before submitting, only then I must abridge. For the most part I agree with your overall sentiment most of what they are focusing on here doesnt make much sense to me, very high level buffing musket and FS , completely blows my mind. If even they are buffing somethign on the FS that's not widely used, why on earth make this an EVEN stronger option. -- flabbergasted. Musket with artifacts and other empower stackers, removing bloom.. g'lord here we go again, of all the weapons in new world, this one hands down has been exploited the most. Ok two things I don't agree with you on. : Hatchets needs a tremendous buff and/or complete overhaul. The hatchet is the worst melee weapon in the game, it's the least used and for good reason, it's just not that good. And rapier out DPS'ing a hatchet is a G.D. sin. I've mained the hatchet since release and its nw's red headed step child. It's slash damage, so it sucks there, it scales poorly with dex, (I can see why that is though), its throwing mechanics are janky as ALL hell and mostly suck, the franciso fiasco or whatever artifact is TERRIBLE and a shameful artifact for a weapon that's alreayd lack luster. I gave up hatchet for the spear, and I don't think it's OP, yes it might provide a little too much for con tanks but don't blame the weapon here, blame the general tank stam gen builds. Anyway, good stuff as always thank you for your videos

I gave up TBH. They nerfed the PVP track Artifacts. I'll never see Serenity. I don't know what the hell AGS is thinking… I HATE PVP, and after 30+ levels (now 76) I haven't seen a single artifact, let alone Serenity... So I'm done.

Lord, the bow is being nerfed again. Ahah. They definitely collect statistics from new world, and not from another game. Apparently it's time to delete this from your computer. I endured these arrows that flew anywhere but at the enemy, desynchronization, but I can’t do it anymore. 2k hours on the bow, I no longer have the strength to wait for a miracle. With developers like this, the game has no life.

Feels like they're focused on the wrong things....

Outpost is a mess play needs to be rebalanced

I logged on a couple of days ago and happened to have a fire staff equipped. Shot one attack and was like wtf is this lol. The projectile is so out of sync. Not sure how people are playing this right now. Also I have 1400 hrs in this game, not just trolling.

Think with hatchet, it's kinda weird, they need to do something (Im thinking pve not pvp) the new artifacts best use is as an unused offhand while you use your spear so.. its still a waste if you want players to wield it. in pvp, oprs, ngl can't remember last time i saw a hatchet in melee. just tanky boys, the spear stunners with a sword and shield.

You mentioned four times by the 6 minute mark your being honest…. You could just put a disclaimer at the beginning of the video that you will be honest throughout the video to not have to repeat yourself numerous times

I saw the video but didn’t really think about it: if the winged get a good damage buff it will be crazy a pretty strong (bis?) artifact. Rapier has haste on hits, bow and muscet get haste from dodges, sns on crits etc…). This is a huge amount in most cases (what about the cake in opr…?).

I have a theory lately with what is happening in NW dev team.....Scott and Dave appear less and less in the last videos...and that proves that they might be working on the LOTR MMO maybe?? So I've been thinking that whatever comes to NW from now on is going to be "work" of another "dev team" and "our Devs" have a bit less saying to what is going on from now on.... I don't know what else to think to find meaning to the current state of the game. It's getting worse and worse, month by month, and I really don't know for how long players are going to put up with everything the serve us.

This game has to go down in history for the most wasted potential. They should sell the game to another company who knows what they’re doing like riot then maybe it will be a good game

Buffing siege weaponry makesno sense unless they further nerf door strength in opr. And get rid of mounts, tht should be priority 1 after technical changes

xDDDDDDD Right now almost no body use bow cuz its super unfair compare to fire staff loser players and flail tank ( which deal super high value dmg ) . and they are nerfing bow again :D . its like develpor have problem with a bow player and he is ruining everyones fun cuz of personal problems ? lol ? they can see musket deal 10k dmg in 1 shot and bow deal 3-4k and nerfing bow :D they can see 1 loser firestaff player can press 1 ability and deal many many many many 2k 2k 2k 2k dmg ( flamethrower ) but they nerf bow :D 1 melee tank ( which should be TANKY ONLY ) deal 4k dmg with 1 leap and 3k with 1 hit and 4k with 1 heavy attack , its not enough , buff flail xD its so crazy . these devs are WAY TOO BAD #Worst_devs_EVER

Well... The spear nerf is bs. They're changing the foundation of the spear. Fire staffs need nerf not buffs... But what really scares me is that this guys posts about new world and he literally couldn't name a single skill by its own name or explain what it does correctly. That's crazy tbh. But hey, it's a dead game, we take what we can get.
