I haven't tried it, I may give it a shot sometime. Hard to aim ranged weapons with controller (plus I was never a good CoD or Halo player anyways) so I would have to use it primarily for the abilities. It's either that or void gauntlet
@@atlasfishmo Awesome! If you do run it and post up a video I'll be in the front row to watch it. I tried out Sword and Board Rapier for some mobility and evasion. Its good, but I just love the hammer SNS.
Been watching your stuff and love it. Saw your build video for this and the GS tank. Was wondering what changes you have made and what reasons you have for not running refreshing ward?
what server do ya play on? as a snb/wh main since the very beginning my servere is nothing but dex and i would love to join the tank company if possible
I'm on Castle of Steel. I'm in a full tank company that includes one player. Lol me. I use it as a title "THE ARMOURED TANK" in game so ppl instantly recognize my role
@@stowie4365 Since I have played this same build since beta, I have a strategy for every viable weapon combo. That said, I have lost duels against each weapon. It's the player that makes a BiS powerful. Overall consistently high dps Hatchet in light armour is the weapon that is the hardest to beat in the right hands. Primarily because they can make many mistakes other players would have died from. CC escape with berserk, undead passive protects from certain death. They can also heal which means they can afford to play the waiting game with me. In a duel, normally if a player runs all match, our health regen and defiant stance is enough to slowly bring us to full health. So they are on a time crunch to burst me down fast while not letting themselves get caught in the Atlas Combo at low-mid health. Hatchet can by pass this. The strategy to beat them is to remain on sns bar and only CC when they have Berserk on CD. You have to kill them 2x, first to proc the passive, next to kill them for good.
He has elemental aversion on almost every piece, and trechant recovery on his hammer, all he has to do is shieldbash or use any other CC since they have to be up close, and he'll heal back and deal damage at the same time.
@@Skilow elemental aversion only works on standard light magic attacks. Flamethrower isn’t that. I struggle with it after the stun because freedom. I wonder how to keep the pressure up because the damage at 300 con isn’t significant and the mages on my server who spam that flamethrower are all in medium with some in heavy.
These videos are made in a way so that the player uploading the video looks to be strong or OP. In order to draw viewership and attention the RU-vidr will most of the time arrange fights against players from their community where the enemies wear lower GS or crap gear + they will only clip the fights where they won. His build weakness is range and magic, a proper experience player with the right setup will melt him as he is too slow in heavy armor and cannot catch up with the enemy.
@@andrewryan2237 that may be some players but Atlas doesn’t arrange fights for sure. He’s legit. Everyone clips a bit but he also shows himself getting taken down. I ask him because he’s next level and I’m new to pvp tanking.
I would stay on the shield bar so you can light attack them. You can stack up max fortify with blocking and shield rush, then you can light attack spam them to waste their stamina and do dps while healing. Once 70% health and out of stamina, it's GG. Shockwave into clear out into forward dash into shield bash into back stab heavy attack. So the main goal is removing 30% health and all their stamina but using the fast sword lights that have life steal and refreshing. In 1vX it will be harder to focus them so you may need to hug line of sight more.
The biggest problem as a tank in the OPR. I often play as a tank but also as a bruiser. As a bruiser, I can also hold a point, but I get a lot more kills and points. AGS does not want tanks in OPR
