I mean you are jumping over it a bit here, yes she, mostly needlesly, killed all of the undead in front of their families but this was after Calia openly called for the undead to betray Sylvanas and the rest of the forsaken and join her. Was it messed up and unnecessary? yes but not wholly without reason as you make it seem here. While ofcourse Sylvanas her true goal was to make sure that the forsaken listen to her and only her. It was not because they met up, which was pre-approved, it was because Calia openly asked them to defect and betray her.

Sylvanas was also in a wierd position. Her people could not reproduce and since they all will deteriorate and wither over time (they are reanimated corpses after all, sometimes the flesh rots or limbs fall off) her people was always doomed to go extinct. THe only way to replenish the population of FOrsaken was to raise new dead people and she would eventually run out of dead bodies around Lordaeron. She would need a source of new bodies and when she said she could raise the Orcs and Trolls to help Garrosh get new soldiers he was revolted. If there ever was a time to call someone a bitch I can see when someone offers to raise your people as zombies could be one of those times, but Blizzard ended up changing that line. So yes, she's doing F'd up things now but she did some questionable things even before she first met the Jailer (supposedly) but some of them can make a kind of sense from her perspective.

only to learn she had been manipulated and used like everyone else - Zovaal revealed his true nature when he put on his super-evil bad guy armor. It was nice that they did give her core character - the one who was a great hero of Quel'thalas - redemption in the cinematic where she and Uther interact. The writing and voice acting between her and Anduin in Torghast was some of the best Ive seen in game, TV, or Movie. Both Patty and Josh blew out out of the atmosphere (screw a mere ballpark).

frankly the only voice acting I can think of that surpasses it is... Claudia Christian as Xal'atath - all these pre-cinematics for TWW are showing how brilliant she is at brining the script to intense life. NO ONE is feeling ambivalent about her now! Claudia has indicated on her social media how much she is truly enjoying playing Xal - I'm gonna guess by the time the entire arc with that character is done, it will rank up alongside Susan Ivanova as her best work. @@Drusenju the thing is the two videos containing "all" cinematics and "all" cutscenes have so massive holes in it that i wonder how they got recommended in the first place... its hard to recommend a chronological list when you already saw half of it, but out of context

she was always self-interested and never "good" but she wasn't just a mustache twirling cartoon villain until they made her warchief. There was always the question of whether she actually cared for the forsaken and remaining blood elves or just purely using them for her own goals. There was grey, and mystery. Until there wasnt and she was actually apparently just pure evil all along. Except no she did it all to save everyone she was just dumb. But wait no actually her soul was split by frostmourne so it wasnt even really her. Bleh. She never should have been warchief having her and the forsaken as a morally questionable playable faction was interesting.

nah man. She had a good story and character building until arthas transformed her into a banshee in wc3 and blizzard killing her story at all after that.
