I like it but my favorite has always been the 1999 look. I think if they didnt want to bring back the big gold belt, they should have made the United States title the United States Heavyweight title again and made it the main title of raw while having a TV or European title as a secondary belt. At the end of the day they want to make each brand have belts set on the same par. But that is impossible. IC has a bit more history then the US. World dates back almost 60 years. Tag titles and Womens title on raw date back decades upon decades. You just cant bring in new belts and say this belt has the same prestige. Prestige goes by who held the belt, the lineage, the time it has been in use etc. That is why they should have split the wwe world heavyweight title on the double pin or they should have put the US or IC belt as main card title. As a fan or even as a wrestler, I wouldnt care about those new belts. I would want a title that my idols had. Plain and simple. All of this could have been avoided if they did a angle with Shane having Sting as his GM and them rebranding Smackdown as WCW Smackdown or WCW Tuesday Night Nitro. Then from there the wcw world, wcw womens and wcw tag could have been all re-activated, as well as a potential TV title.
I always did favored the NWA US championship belt better. The one that Lex Lugar held right before it was changed to represent WCW with a new look to it.
The belt was made by a guy on Reddit as what I assume was a joke about how the new belts were just rehashes of current ones, that ultimately came out looking like a really good belt.
the raw women's and Tag title is the same meaning. but "international" is a bit more important than "us" so it's better that these title don't look similar
none of the belt designs should look the same, which pisses me off how they've made them that way, so im down with you on that. I'm all about differentiality. i'm just saying the belt looks dope.
It is a good belt but i do prefer the current US championship tho, wwe has to many belt similarities right now. The IC and US don't need to look similar at all
It seems a bit familiar to the WCW US title. I would like it if the WWE kept their current US title design, because it's BEAUTIFUL. I kind of like this look, but not near as much.
PLEASE BE REAL. The original WCW us belt and the IC belt both looked very similar. That looks PHENOMENAL in comparison to the belt design they've used since inheriting the title.
Yeah this design is like the perfect marriage of the old WcW US title and the WWE intercontinental title. They need to go a little retro with belt designs now. The new belt designs are just not that great. The Universal title is so hideous, that it's downright DISRESPECTFUL to both the tradition of World title belts, the champions themselves, and the fans who collect these titles.
they would never create this belt because its value just by the look would devalue the universal and world heavyweight championship the air by his come to so-called know and love. I would say let certain champions resurrect legacy titles for a change and possibly every now and then create a belt design catered to that individual. Also i believe that a resurrection of either the tv or hardcore or even the internet championships (with obvious and attractive new designs) with belt exclusive requirements, stipulations, restrictions and/or advantages. Possibly marketed as followed TV title: Smackdown Hardcore: non brand exclusive with anyplace anytime title defense Internet: fan choice of selected matches for title defense with matches done strictly over the internet occasionally. I know the last one was a stretch but you get the idea
I've always liked the current title. I did not like the spinner U.S. title, though Cena was on fire at that point of his career. This concept looks like the designer tried to hard to make it look like the old belts in NWA/AWA
The title looks nice but they should stick with the current design. I mean, most of their titles look exactly the same, only in different colors. I don't think they need to make the U.S. Title look like the IC title to make it more prestigious. Keeping the design the way it is brings uniqueness to the title, something that the WWE wasn't able to do with the Universal title, although I'm starting to get used to the belt (still prefer a better design)
they need more titles return titles (European hardcore) and bring in some new titles (submission title TV title cruiserweight tag titles) I think they should have a midcard title for nxt
If this is fake, than the WWE should actually look at this. This title looks really nice. Just the side plates should have one wwe and one us map side plate on each side.
....I think the WWE United States Championship looks fine the way it is. When it was brought over to the WWE in 2003, I was very impressed with its design and I thought it was better than the design for the WCW United States Championship.
+Game Person ....Same here. I think the current design is the best. The design featured for the U.S. championship in this video really doesn't look too bad, But it looks too much like the current design for the Intercontinental championship. The old WCW U.S. championship looks bland compared the WWE version of the U.S. championship.
+Merce A. Mercero ....By the way, TNA almost came out with its own United States Championship, But decided not to because it looked too much like the WWE U.S. championship. For more info, Go to Google and type in "TNA U.S. Championship".
what about the old NWA United States Heavyweight Championship that Dusty Rhodes, Nikita Koloff, Barry Windham and Lex Luger held in the late 80's to 1991.
I've always liked the current title. I did not like the spinner U.S. title, though Cena was on fire at that point of his career. This concept looks like the designer tried to hard to make it look like the old belts in NWA/AWA
Its a Great Looking Belt and im thinking that its not real. If the Brand spilt was to create competition and opportunity, the Belts for the different Brands should look distinctively different to represent the uniqueness of each Brand. Not just a 1 Look Design to fit all...just my 2 cents
i guess it can happen wwe can do a title match between the ic and us title on tlc like the WH champion and the wwe champion and then mixed it together chabamm!
To me The best design was the design of the US Championship Belt when Ric Flair was the Champion-The whole United States in the belt. It makes it special and different from the other ones that looks the same. This design is not going to give prestige to the title is going to shadow his prestige by becoming a copy of the US Intercontinental championship
right now the us and if titles are the best looking titles they need to bring back a modified version for the winged eagle world heavyweight championship seriously
It always confused me as to why they didn't combine them, being that the United States is on a continent. It's just as silly as the current NWA having a World, Junior World, United States, and North American Heavyweight collection of titles.
The United States Championship doesn't look bad! I really hope that you can make this US Title in 2k17! Honestly the United States Championship doesn't look that good to me anymore! Like when Belts have the same design for so long then they get Boring! It's always good to change designs when they start to get old or boring! Just look at the WWE Spinner belt that was around for a couple Years and it got boring! So WWE might be making this belt and I really hope they do!
I don't mind the design of the universal title but when wwe is trying to say that it's on par or greater than the wwe world heavyweight title it's insulting to the fans who enjoy the product I personally feel that's why people are disgusted with the belt
whatever people think. WWE championship is still the highest tier championship in the WWE. Universal championship is a stupid name, like they only thought of it overnight. and the US championship looks good as it is. I personally don't like this rumoured look.
Just look at the ends of the straps in the picture. They are cut off, not making a full belt. I do love the design, but this is obviously a sort of "fan-fiction"
