Amazing, and there is a third-party Hammond library that solves the lacklustre organ sound - but no solution for it being 5kg too heavy to realistically fly with 😢
This is such a cool machine for live performance. However, for studio work, it's probably better to get dedicated items. You can get better separate va, fm, etc. But it's still a super cool machine.
These are new presets of Montage M 🙂 if you buy a new Montage M, they are already available into the instrument 😉 you can’t import into previous generation of Montage
@@DKS-SYNTH-LAB I have the M8x and feel silly although I have yet to explore all the Performances. Maybe they just sounded better due to your excellent playing. This is my first foray into a workstation/synth since the Yamaha EX5 25 years ago. I’ve learned to use the “audition” function because it’s easy to miss all the possibilities of each Performance when quickly going through them. I believe I saw DKS on Soundmondo and wrongly assumed these were new Performances. Once again excellent playing.
@audioAtmos, I've just published only 3 sounds for Montage M on Soundmondo :) and soon you can find more sounds (as always for free on that website :) )
It would be great if the led light Line beside the faderknob automatik would snap to the faderknob. Instead of how it is still today you’ll have to move the knob to where the led llight point goes to. And first then you can move the knob for real.
La ventola esiste e si sente un leggerissimo rumore (meno di Kronos) solo quando si è in una stanza silenziosa e non si sta suonando lo strumento 😉 non è nulla di tragico
Some sounds yes, some sounds are exactly the same. Btw with the new M you have many more sounds not available for the old generation 😉 I’ve owned Montage for 7yrs and when the new one was announced i was sure about the upgrade to the new model!
Nope, 61 and 76 channel (mono) aftertouch like old montage and the m8x features poly aftertouch ;) but yes, you have aftertouch in every model of Montage M
What is it with all the super spacious pads, strings and analog sounds on such state of he art, expensive modern keyboards? I'm nearly 58 years old. I'd love to hear some lively brass sections, brass stabs, saxes, accordions, etc. Can the montage do these? I play covers, 80s, 90s, etc. Real music. Can it do this? Also, can the sequencer do linear? If so, id buy a montage, as well as a CP 73 and a YC 6, coz i'm old school. Gotta have pianos and hammond easily accessible. Would love to see these sounds in action
Search around RU-vid there are a bunch of demos. Some better than others. The Montage M can do whatever your heart desires. This is the first synth/workstation that does completely accurate organ (Hammond/Leslie) sounds IMHO. Plenty of brass. If you’re really serious start to read the specs and get an understanding what they’re capable of doing.
@@AudioAtmosI don't agree about hammond sounds. Too far away from good VSTs nowadays. It's one of the reasons I didn't order one MontageM after some personal tests. If you check a Yamaha YC device you will find much better tonewheel sounds. This is for me not acceptable. A flagship workstation should be top class in every sector.
@@furiobisotti8150 What are these personal tests you speak of? I find it hard to believe you spent any time with it. Blows away any VSTi around. Why would I get a YC when I have it and 100’s of other sonic possibilities with my Montage M8x.
