NEW YEAR CATCH UP! 

Had not quite come to terms with spending my Friday evenings without a Laura and Ollie video to start the weekend, and I gasped so loudly when I saw this upload that my partner came running into the room to see what was wrong. 😂 Thank you for the lovely update! Happy New Year!

I remember thinking several years back that your kids were going to be amazed that Mom had done all of this reno work on the house. I'm smiling that you're ready to bring home a baby! As for showing baby on videos, I love having glimpses of babies and kids, but I respect the new trend for not showing children online, too. Good luck with the birth and I pray that it's easy for all of you!

I’ve missed your videos but was totally fine waiting until you were ready, but I’m so happy over this update! ☺️ Don’t put too much pressure on yourself, we’re still here when you are ready to come back fully. I understand you feel like everything has to be perfect before you show it, but I think all of us are just happy for an update/following along on your journey no matter how imperfect it is/how long it takes! The fact that not everything is perfectly finished is perfect! This is real life, now it's time for you to relax and go for it. There's the cutest little tool box ready and waiting, if he's anything like Ollie, he'll be more excited about the tool box than the wardrobe door this time next year. Blessings to you all.

I think your new(second hand) bedside tables are just fine and can easily be painted to your liking in time. Your whole house is just gorgeous.

It was a nice surprise to see that you had posted a video. I have wondered how you are, and am so glad to see how well you are doing. I couldn’t wear my wedding ring by the time I was at the stage of pregnancy you are, so that is also impressive. The house looks absolutely LOVELY, and I hope we get to see the nursery one day. Love the window treatments, that was just what I would have done. I can see that Ollie has been busy and the mantel, insert and tv are fantastic. Your Mom is going to be very comfortable in the wonderful upstairs bedroom. I love that you managed to do the hallway-it makes all the difference. Your storage room is quite orderly, even, so don’t apologize, haha. You seem healthy and happy and as beautiful as ever. Happy New Year Laura and Ollie!

I’ve never clicked so fast on a video!! Aw he’s still sitting so high! My first didn’t drop until week 39 and came just a few days after. OMG, the pressure on my bladder was REAL and that was the moment his lease was up!! 😂

So glad to see an update, I keep watching the calendar. He will be here soon and then it is all hands on deck for the next year. You two will be great parents.👶🧑‍🍼

Aww, he will come when he's ready Mama. Due dates are only suggestions. My three were all late. My oldest was 10 days late, but that was great because we moved into a home two days before his due date! The day I was scheduled for inducement he decided to come on his own. I know we mothers want everything perfect before (esp 1st timers) but remember he'll be in your room for a while so you don't need to worry that his room is perfectly done. He won't notice, roll his eyes at you or refuse to eat. 😉 Just enjoy your bonding time as a new family. 👨‍👩‍👦🐕💙🩵💙

Your bedroom looks amazing. If you have a room there, I would recommend having a nursing chair to save your back. Nursing in the bed was really hard because your back is not supported. Also, I recommend having a place to change baby downstairs. Best of luck, the first days are hard, but they are also full of joy.

Lovely to see you looking and feeling so well. All the very best for the next few days/weeks or maybe hours!!!!! Babies come when they want to😅 Just a thought on your shower. We had a walk in shower for years and loved the look but not the functionality. Always mopping the floor and always cold in winter. We now have a flameless enclosed shower and it looks beautiful and the bathmat stays dry and it is a lot warmer when enclosed. Worth looking at; we are in Australia but I am sure that you can get the same in the UK. 😊❤
