So motivating! I think your decor would look beautiful with navy blue accents to break up the lighter colors without making it look dark. Like navy floral or patterned pillow covers and curtains. It won’t take much to get that contrast you are looking for. Hope your back feels better soon!
It’s been non stop for 2 months lot hospital with family holidays traveling out of state over and over to see my mom in hospital. It’s been so overwhelming!!! Lesson learned don’t be afraid to ask for help if you you don’t have family we all get their.

I love your style. I love to see how different people decorate their homes. I may take ideas from trends but I decorate how I like. I don’t think my house has one decor style. My house is 1200sq feet and I would not want to go big ever again! Love your videos.
Happy New Year Arika. A suggestion for your bench you might want to put it in your front porch. My mother in law has an enclosed porch and she put a bench so guests can use it to put their shoes on. I did the same thing this year….gave my daughter some ornaments from her childhood now that she has her own place & I donated items I no longer use 😃 ( I’m sure I will appreciate the organization next Christmas 😂 )
Just watching you work so hard made me tired. Lol. That’s exactly what I do though. I am older than you, so it took me two days to get everything back in the totes and back downstairs. I would get another area rug and put it on top of the rug. You already have so it looks layered and then you’d have more color depending on what Color your new area rug would be. It's a chore the Christmas season/hustle bustle/decorating etc and I wouldn't give it up or miss for the world. Those tailbone injuries hurt. I used your alfredo sauce recipe the other day. Easiest, tastiest one I have ever tried. Great New Years at the end. ❤
I do hope and am praying your back feels much better. Your house is lovely. I put up way too many decorations this year so taking me several days to put it away. I just worried doing my cancer treatment what if it was my last Christmas ? I wanted to enjoy so if the good Lord cures me, next year I will scale back. I just love your colors in your home. Happy New Year! Maybe you could layer a smaller and lighter patterned rug over top of the big rug that is more centred to your ottoman and avoids the high walking area of your front door? It might help break up the gray with a lighter colour. Just an idea.

You put away like I do, and clean very well, I have my stuff done and it’s empty but we are painting our Tim and changing out our doors, so my house is a mess, but it’s going to look nice, I’m not putting up Christmas next year, it’s to hard on my, I have sold some of my Santa’s, we store it up stairs and I have to do it, my husband can’t do steps, so no more Christmas stuff up for me, but I I’ve your stuff, I don’t do any decor from Valentine’s Day, I love your channel
Why do cats insist on sitting right in the middle of a mess? lol! Our cats do this all the time! Always feels good to have a fresh, clean house after Christmas! I do the same-a lot of the red from Christmas can totally be used for V-Day! I've always enjoyed decorating for Valentine's Day-simple holiday, but I love the red, white and pink sprinkled around my house!

Your family looks like a lot of fun! Your decorating is always so nice. I love Clyde, he cracks me up. You did a great job cleaning up everything. It took me a day and a half to get all of our things put away and that was with my husband and son taking down some of the outdoor decorations lol. Happy New Year Arika! Thank you for the motivation. I know that anxious feeling all too well when Christmas decorations come down. My house feels bare and too beige at the moment, and I've been thinking of ways to incorporate colour but without being too bold. It's a process, trial and error, and scoring well at the thrift store. Regarding your rug, I've seen others layer a smaller rug over a larger one. Perhaps that's an option for you so you can keep the larger grey one but add a smaller colourful one on top. Can't wait for your next video. I sincerely thank you for being a blessing. ❤

I think hearing her little tags hitting the bowl as she eats is adorable! I love Christmas, but once all the decorations are put away, it's like the house can breathe again, and I actually don't mind the emptiness for a few days. Love how Clyde made himself a centerpiece. Lol. One thing I've learned about you and your whole family is that you all love each other and genuinely love spending time together. Love it❤❤❤❤

It’s overwhelming, I’m still not 100 percent done, had to order a few items to store some Christmas items. And still need to mop, have vacuumed a few times and still see glitter.
