I have made two Queen Sized quilts from this fabric collection and I am working on a third! I love the fabulous Edyta Sitar and her beautiful fabrics! This was a great pattern to showcase them. Edyta and Donna, a match made in quilters heaven!
Ваши работа хорошая .Мне нравится.Я знаю ваших работа.Мен интересно.Всегда я хочу чтобы сказать. Учится ваших комментариев. Мне нравится. Больше спасибо ❤❤
Another beauty! The red top was stunning! The blue one so peaceful. Donna, would you consider teaching us the "Storm At Sea" pattern? Would love to see what you do with that one. Thank you.
I was looking to see if you have shown a 'Storm at Sea' pattern when I found this video. I say yes, please, show us that pattern as well! Many thanks for all the pleasure I experience watching your videos. Your store is on my list of "must stop" places next time I drive through Grant's Pass.
I try to guess the thread color in every video too, I normally guess the right one, but, today I picked the oatmeal one. I need to step out of my comfort zone and go with some color just for fun.
@@Sharon-pb7so I tend to be about half right. When I miss, I am the opposite, I'm picking something with more color. Always fun to see how they turn out.
And the hits just keep on coming!…Thanks for showing us the wall hanging size, I’m kinda partial to the red as well! I watched your video on the Round about quilt, Doug Leko patterns are awesome! 👍🏻💕🇺🇸
I love this tutorial! I wish I saw it before I cut my quilt in the red/pink version -sweet 16.... I would like to ask, what did you use for the back of the sweet 16 quilt?
Hi Donna just wanted to say your lovely smile in this video has made me feel better in another lock down in the UK.Thanks for all you do its sooo appreciated .god bless and keep safe . Ps love this pattern another quilt to add to the list .
Hi Liz, I live in Ireland so we are practically neighbours. I just saw on the BBC news about the even more stringent lockdown. Trying to get my quilting and knitting mojo back. I was happy to see the video. Donna's always so encouraging and with the way things are now that isn't easy.
@@IRISHLASS273 Hi Janet I am not very good with the internet so I make mistakes all the time .so please forgive me for that .in lock down it is like my husband and I are serving a prison sentence even though we Havnt done anything wrong .so we are hoping to get the vaccine in the spring so then we will be able to move forward.kerp safe god bless.
This is a beautiful quilt and I would love to make it however I'll have to figure out a different option for the pinwheels. This version has so much wasted fabric.
The production values for you videos are wonderful: perfect sound and well-edited video that makes for the best instruction. Your calm voice in reassuring and the pace is good. Thank you for your work in making my quilting life easier. It is nice to have instruction without a sales pitch. Of course, after travel restrictions are gone, I will head across the country and plan a stop to see your place and shop in your store.
Jane Rose Two friends and I are hoping to take a post-pandemic cross-country road trip, first to Pawhuska OK to visit The Mercantile, home of The Pioneer Woman merchandise and dining experience. Then on to Grants Pass OR and Jordan Fabrics!
@@vivianpowell1732 That is a wonderful plan. I have regularly crossed the country from east to west and now have all of these new places to stop. Have an amazing time. Especially great since you are doing it with friends.
I love your videos! I've been binge watching them since I discovered your channel. Thank you for your incredibly easy-to-follow tutorials! I am new to quilting and have learned so much from you! Looking forward to the next video!
Cozy quilt Company must be very happy with Donna, since she does tutorials on their patterns a lot! I’ve watched Daniella demonstrate some of her patterns, and like her, but Donna demonstrates better!
Im a new subscriber just recently found ur channel. Been binge watching ur old vids. I like all ur vids and the tutorial it inspires me to learn sewing.
Great vid. Your vids really keep me sane in these difficult times. In England we can't get out to buy fabric right now, so it's good to see someone is productive.
Wonderful! Thank you for all the information you provide. I've tried different boarders, even blocks in the boarder. Just waiting till I win the lottery (lol) to take a road trip to to see your store. I know it's not much but I do order patterns and re watch your videos when needed. Even made iron boards for the family watching Mr. Mike's video. Blessing and have a great2021!!!!
Love the fabric you used in this - great video! It seems like it's been a while since Matt was in a video - he needs to make at least a cameo appearance once in a while. Thank you for all the great tutorials. I just finished the double wedding ring quilt and could not be happier with how it turned out. Never would have tried it without you.....
Hola Donna; un gran trabajo y muy buena explicacion (en todos tus trabajos). No hablo ingles, me entero perfectamente a traves de los gestos de tus manos. Un "10" para la persona invisible que esta detras de la camara. Enhorabuena
I love that you made the quilt & table topper in colors other than green. It really showed off the beautiful design. Another winner! Thanks also for your generous giveaway quilt. Happy Quilting!
I like your choice of colors better than the advertisement for the pattern! Absolutely gorgeous 😍. And I love to see patterns for pre-cuts, so thank you for that also. 😊
Beautiful! Thank you for making quilts using different colors than those pictured on the patterns. I have a hard time visualizing that. Love the blue and white. My favorite color combination.
Wow this is a beautiful pattern. Thanks Donna for videoing this one. Just adored the lilac print in blue for your main border. The red quilt with the single circle in the middle would be a lovely size for a baby quilt. I think this would look amazing in any colour to match a bedroom. 👍 Another great video under your belt.
Another awesome tutorial, love the blue but when you pulled out red wall hanging; that took my breath away...lovvve it. Thank you for showing both sizes. Happy quilting everyone 🙋♀️✂️🧵📏❤️🇨🇦
Love your tutorials. I'm a newbie and am learning so much from you. My only problem is that this is the first time I've been able to catch a live one. When do you usually go live? Also love how you pack your jelly rolls. So much easier to store. Thanks Matt.
I’d looked at that pattern a couple of times but passed it by. So glad you made this one up, it’s beautiful in the blues and I really love the added the lighter strips in the background.
I love the blues in that quilt. It came out so beautiful! Wow, I need to get busy sewing so I can get to this one! My list just keeps getting longer. Thanks so much for sharing your expertise. It is much appreciated!
Beautiful quilt Donna, and the way you used the light colors in the back ground made it a more expensive looking quilt from just the plain blues, don't get me wrong, the blue quilt looked beautiful with the all same color back ground, but in my opinion, the strips you added to the back ground just added a rich punch to it. So gorgeous. Great tutorial, tks
Какая красота! - (What a beauty!). You are a great needlewoman, Jordan! Thank you so much for the lesson! (This will give you a drink from Russia). I wish you well-being and good health, Jordan...
Love this one!! I just purchased a pattern from you called the Antler quilt / Crown and Anchor.. do you have a tutorial on this one yet??? I love it!! ❤️
Hello Jordan Family, I made a Ring of Wreaths a few years ago which is nicely folded on my livingroom sofa, used by the family when we're all gathered there. Loved making it, and love even more seeing it in my home. I write today to ask if it would be possible for you to show the complexity of a quilt pattern. Either by number, 10 for the very advanced to 1 for beginners, or simply by name, very easy to most difficult. It would help all quilters, the more advanced by knowing how much time it takes, or for the beginners who don't want to get too complicated. I know I would appreciate it. Many thanks for all the videos and creative patterns you come up with. I never miss a video, and enjoy your method of teaching. Keep going, you please many people. Beryl Baslé
Happy New Year, Jordan family! This is an absolutely stunning quilt! You are a star as usual, Donna. If I ever get to visit Oregon again, I am determined to go to your store. For now, I will make do with your videos and whatever is in my stash. Norway is cold and dark in January. Sewing is a life-saving activity :)
Donna, I'm an avid lover of pinks and purples, I would really like to see you do something with just the two colors I mentioned. I love the way you teach about your pressing, so your seams are all matched up...Thank you for your tutorials, I so enjoy watching them...☺🌺🌷
Oh, I thought that fabric looked familiar! Edyta Sitar's fabric is so beautiful! What a nice pattern you paired it with, Donna - both blue and red versions are gorgeous. Seeing Matt's name on the jelly roll package (no pinked edges!) makes me think I will break down and buy both the blue and red sets. Thank you for another excellent quilting lesson!
Absolutely stunning quilt Donna. Oh and Im so excited to say that I made your Diamond Squared quilt as a Christmas gift. I am incredibly proud of how it turned out, as this is the first proper quilt that I've made. Your instructions were so easy to follow, so even as a newbie, I managed it and it turned out so beautiful. Thank you for your great video, it helped me so much. Lee :)
That's such a beautiful quilt, I love blue in a quilt, it's a very serene color. You're a fabulous teacher, Donna!!! 💜 Will you ever start doing the quilting for people? I'd send my quilt to you and let you do whatever you want.
I love this! You've given me an idea to start making Christmas Quilts for each of my kids (to give them on Thanksgiving Day) for 2021. Love the quilt in blue as well. You are amazing Donna! Love the blouse you have on! Did you make it? Maybe you need to let us know where you purchase your clothes too, I love your clothing style as well!
Thanks for another wonderful tutorial, Donna. Lots of extra tips and tricks! Although the finished quilt looks absolutely lovely, all those tiny pieces and angled seams just looks like one too many opportunities for me to twist something the wrong way. But just perfect for a super-organized quilter! ~Diana K.
Love love love this quilt, and well I really love the blue, so beautiful, and I really love the light print background added in!! Thank you so very mcuh
Donna I really enjoy your videos and appreciate that you guys take the time to put them together. I’m actually using your Mirror, Mirror as my bed quilt. I was wondering if you’ve ever done a Drunkards Path quilt. I’ve looked through your videos and haven’t seen one. You have a way of breaking down quilt blocks so they aren’t so intimidating and that particular block is one I find intimidating. So this is one I think would be interesting to see it done by you. Thanks for all your videos and tips.
I think with the extra strips, I would have tried some darker accent fabrics with the unused lighter prints and made the entire quilt larger. I have been working on new quilts for babies and weddings during the pandemic as well as 2 queen sized ones for my son and one all hand appliqued and hand quilted queen sized quilt for my daughter. Just finished 2 lap quilts for 2 grandsons! All new ideas and Quilts are welcome! How I would love a long arm! Keep sewing
Due to your excellent tutorials, elocution, closeups and editing, I have the confidence to make this quilt. I've made small simple quilts, baby quilts and such, but this is probably the next level to learn. I sew a lot of clothes, home decor and quilted placemats, purses, doggie beds and coats, etc., but the complicated-looking geometric quilts seem to have intimidated me.Thank you for sharing your expertise, talent and time with the rest of us.
Beautiful quilt! I can see it on a bed. I loved the fabric choice. Then at the end when you said it was Edyta Sitar's line I knew why I loved it. I love everything she designs.
I appreciate your tips such as incorporating otherwise wasted jelly roll strips into the background. I wish I could incorporate your mindset of "it really doesn't matter the order" when choosing what goes where. I spend way too much time trying to balance colors and lights and darks. This may sound odd, but one of the best parts of your videos is just watching the longarm machine do its magic. I could watch that a good while to take my mind off of crazy stuff. Thanks!
Love the fabrics that you chose, blue my favorite. I make 3" finished blocks. I would like to buy the extra triangles and bits ♥️I hope you don't trash them. Thank you for this tutorial, Donna,
