With our visa's expiring quickly, we make haste through the small country, Staying at a mountain top Coffee Farm to celebrate Christmas and have new years at a beach near Costa del Sol.
Our visa's only give us 90 days total to share in the C4 Countries, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua. Combined that with the hot months coming in March, we need to move faster through these countries and get to Costa Rica and Panama quickly. SAD
Remember to turn on the bell and watch early to see the videos without advertisements...

Enjoyed your tour of ES. Brings back a lot of sweet memories. We lived there from 04 until 08. Beautiful country and the sweetest people anywhere.

That would make a brilliant paella pan . Really hard to find around my neck of the wood , usually have to get them especially spun at a local engineering firm . 😳

Looks like a great spot, although the beach (and anyplace else I have to sleep in temps over 18°C) is not my fav. As long as you are all enjoying safe and fun times, good on ya!

Hi. I have a build question. Did you give a cab pass thru (at least big enough to crawl through) any consideration when you were in the design phase? If so, what were the main reasons you didn't choose to do so? Thanks, Jim Hopkins - Pollock Pines, CA.

We spent 5 years in the design phase, and pretty quickly concluded we have no use for a pass through. This has been reinforced in our 3 years of full-time travel, asking every other overlanded we bump into. Making unnecessary holes is an invitation for uninvited entry and rapid possession removal. Last week we camped with another German fellow who shipped his truck from South America to Panama some months ago, every single travel rig on that boat had been broken into... either through the luxurious big RV Windows, Roof Vent or by simply going through the front doors and through the pass through... And it's not only that crossing, Europe to the Americas has the same problems too... Even medium security measures as a heavy door in a deadbolt isn't much of an obstacle, they have weeks to rake the cylinder... Honestly that isn't the primary reason we chose not to have one, Any position on the outside wall with a door is another position where you can't easily have storage or fixtures of some kind. I just didn't see the point. Some people argue having a pass through for your own security, for making a fast getaway, from the zombie apocalypse, apparently... Others argue rain or other bad weather. But in our experience, we are only met with love, warm welcomes, and gifts of local food and advice from these so called zombies. Not to mention, if they actually wanted to harm you, it doesn't take much to box you in or otherwise immobilize a rig anyway. As far as getting from the back to the cab in the rain, it has so rarely been a problem that I wouldn't count it in my considerations, it's not like we say "Oh it's really raining hard, Let's go for a drive!" Another consideration is noise, everything in the back is going to rattle to some extent, And so you get to listen to this while driving... Another problem with passthroughs is that the box needs to flex separately from the cab, and I can give you a list of people whose boot that allows this flexure between the two leaks water reliably. Lastly, of everyone I've surveyed a tiny percentage of people say they ever go through it... And those that do have terrible reasons, going to the fridge for food or beverage while driving...
