I watch both Jen and Michelle. They are both great; Jen has great smoky eye tutorials for monolids, which is often very useful for me.

The thing about eye makeup is, there are just so many different combinations you can do. Different gurus have different techniques. No guru's eyes are the same. It's nice to know this look is just as nice on smaller set eyes instead of other guru's super large eyes. It's really pretty.

I can't believe how talented you are with makeup. You make it look so simple. Watching your videos gives me inspiration to look and feel better. This is perfect! I have monolids and some tutorials are difficult for me since they're made by people who doesn't have monolids. It's easier to do this after seeing it on a (beautiful) person with monolids as well! Thank you and Happy New Year!

I did this for New Years day and it was probably the most intense make-up I actually have ever applied. It was definitely a huge change but I loved the look. Thanks Jen

Jen is a good friend of mine, those who are saying "she's copying so and so" needs to stop it! First off, it's not nice. Secondly, art is never original, inspiration surrounds us, only God is original. Thirdly, just because I use glitter and purple/pink doesn't mean I own that look. Fourthly, Jen is so busy, she probably has no time to watch every other guru on RU-vid. Lastly, some of you should be grateful that you have different options to choose from. THUMBS UP SO EVERYONE CAN SEE!!!!

I think this is the best look I've seen for the new year's look on youtube out of all the make up guru's. Instead of a silver glittery color you used pink! I love it ^_^

I love the eyes! Such a bold look using my two favorite colors. :) Also, just thought I'd mention your skin looks absolutely flawless. Amazing. I actually saw this last year and thought it was beautiful and overly complicated, but now that I've had more practice with cosmetics... I'm going to give it a try this year for the holidays. @fcsblog My #1 rule for makeup is to do what makes YOU happy! If you love bb cream, then wear it because it boosts your own confidence and makes you feel pretty. That's the best way to wear makeup in my opinion. :)

Urban Decay's stardust eyeshadow is also a good way to add sparkle to other eyeshadows because they're transparent and work with any eyeshadow

@miyumintz it's important to tap off the eyeshadow before applying it. and you could always apply foundation after your eye look! some people also use a bit of scotch tape to get the glitters/shadows off. i don't know if that is slightly damaging to the skin though.

I think Holly Ann Aeree was wearing the same shirt in her most recent video! I like it, though :) It's very elegant and dramatic... And I love lace, too! It makes any outfit look more feminine and delicate.

@reneeponesxx I actually really love it! The color is really subtle so it goes on naturally and it really lasts all day, more so than powders.

@0hsiriusly I deep clean my brushes less often but I do spot cleaning fairly frequently, especially with brushes I know I use everyday like the blush brush. My favorite 2 spot cleaners are Parian Spirit and using Wet Ones wipes. :)

@yourrfacehere you don't need brown eyes to do it! pink would look nice with any eye colour or you could substitute all the pink products for a colour that compliments your eyes better

At first I didn't see any resemblance to the looks that Michelle Phan has made, but towards the end I can see the similarity that some people are complaining about. I don't think that Jen copied Michelle on purpose! What I got from this tutorial was a new *backwards* way of putting on makeup that still looks amazing! Pink just happens to be such a pretty color to use but everyone can come up with their own colors of preferences. =)

@yourrfacehere then substitute the Junkshow eyeshadow, Woodstock liner, and hot pink Nyx Glitterati glitter with blue or silver! blue eyes pop with lots of colors though, actually

This makeup look is very pretty. The reason why I like your tutorials so much is bc you don't have the crease that caucasians have (I'm not racist, but it's difficult to do their makeup on my asian eyes...lol) all your makeup tutorials are really helpful....I use your wedding makeup tutorial as my everyday makeup and my husband loves it! I'm thinking of trying out different colors....
