I grew up in they hood and never seen them wear red rags. Did they just start doing that recently? Also that green house at 6:29 used to be Tookie Williams house. It was a Crip spot known as the "red house" before it got painted. It actually ended up being a daycare idk if it still is tho.
That alley they were in right before is maybe the most tagged up spot in california history lol. Every month or 2 it would get painted/cleaned but within a week the whole alley would be tagged up by different hoods.

As well as nortenos who only wear red rags but back in the days in central Cali majority of Fresno and surrounding towns broke off from norte and became bulldogs but they still kept the color red! Im 52 years old and from ES Long Beach. Long Beach is rite next to Compton. My 2 daughters live in Compton with there familys. 2 of my sons were living in Watts, South LA. They moved out some time back though. Anyways LA county is not even close to how it was in the 80's and 90's. Gang injunctions, Rico Acts kicked in, PD and the County theyve really put it down on cats. Even if you hit a wall up / graffitti on a business the business has a matter of days to remove it. Theres laws with this now. They will get fined by the city or county now. I got a grip of pics of gangsters and graffitti when I was young in ES Long Beach. Looking at my pics and looking at the neighborhoods now its completely different. It doesnt look like a ghetto anymore. Anyways going to LA County now is not like what you see in the older gangster movies. Colors, Boys in the Hood etc. Those are completely different times.
