I live about 100 miles outside the city and haven't been there since 2015. The crowds and the prices have kept me out for the most part in recent years, and I've pretty much seen and done everything I've wanted to there. I've been there for Christmas a few times and can't honestly say I enjoyed the experience. Glad to see you posting new videos! Your channel is great. I've been to San Francisco and San Diego, and maybe will get out to LA some day to see some of the sights you've vlogged about. Thanks!
New York City is expensive to visit year-round, and the city is particularly expensive and crowded around the winter holiday season. You can defray the cost by using reward points for airplane tickets and/or hotel nights.
It typically doesn't get really cold in NYC until January or February, however, you'll definitely need to pack for temps that could dip to the 30s F*. When I was there in November and December, there were some warm days with temperatures in the 60s F*.
